1 For your safety
These mounting instructions apply to all DLT-V73 models. They describe how to attach
the appropriate keyboard mounting kit.
Read and observe the mounting instructions carefully.
Keep them for future reference.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to weight and sharp-edged parts.
The DLT-V73 can fall down and cause injuries due to its weight. The strain relief
rail can have sharp edges and cause cutting injuries.
Always hold the device by the housing with both hands.
Never use the antenna cap as a handle. It can break due to the weight
involved.
Do not hold the device by the strain relief rail.
Use the assistance of a second person for installation work.

These mounting instructions are intended for skilled personnel. Only qualified
skilled personnel may mount/install DLT-V73 devices
2 Tools required
−Allen key (5 mm width for M6)
3 Installation sequence
If the DLT-V73 is being used with a keyboard mounting kit:
First attach the keyboard holder.
Then mount the complete system at the deployment location, e.g., to the forklift
(RAM-Mount).
Note
The keyboard mounting is not compatible with a DLT-V73 Scanner mounting.

keyboard holder
Parts required:
−1 x DL-MTKT014 Mounting kit BOTTOM for 21key and 65 key keyboard DLT-V73
containing:
−4 x Screw Cyl.int.hex DIN 912 - M6 x10 - A2 TufLok
−4 x Washer A6.4 DIN 125
Step 1:
Fasten the front
keyboard holder with
2 screws and
2 washers on the left
side (max. tightening
torque 3,0 Nm).
Step 2:
Fasten the front
keyboard holder
with 2 screws
and 2 washers
on the right side
(max. tightening
torque 3,0 Nm).

5 DLT-V73: Attaching DL-MTKT015 or DL-
MTKT016 keyboard holder right/left
The figure shows the attachment of the keyboard holder on the right; the attachment on
the left is done analogously but mirror inverted.
Parts required:
−1 x DL-MTKT015 Mounting kit RIGHT for 21key keyboard DLT-V73 or
DL-MTKT016 Mounting kit LEFT for 21key keyboard DLT-V73
−2 x Screw Cyl.int.hex DIN 912 - M6 x 10 - A2, TufLok
−2 x Washer A6.4 DIN 125
Fasten the
keyboard holder
sidewards using the
2 screws and
2 washers (max.
tightening torque
3,0 Nm).

6 Reusing keyboard mounts with DLT-V73
devices by using DL-MTKT012 adapter kit
The keyboard mounts of former Advantech terminals like DLT-V72 or DLT-V83 can be
fitted with adapters and reused with DLT-V73 devices.
Parts required:
−1 x Keyboard mount
−1 x V73 Adapter kit DL-MTKT012 containing:
−1 x Adapter for the right-hand side
−1 x Adapter for the left-hand side
−4 x Cylinder head screws DIN 912 M6 x 10 A2 TufLok
−4 x Cylinder head screws DIN 912 M6 x 16 A2 TufLok
−8 x Washers DIN 125 - A 6.4
When using more than 2 accessories:
−4 x Cylinder head screws DIN 912 M6 x 16 TufLok
(Fasten the screws without washers)
