1Power supply
The AMP 4/8 needs 9..30 V/DC. Be sure that the SAB cap s mounted r ghtly when you sw tch on
the power supply. Do never remove the SAB cap when the power supply s act ve. Otherw se the elec-
tron c can be damaged.
It s very mportant to power the AMP w th a clean ground (w thout any electr cal nterferences).
The best way s, to use the same ground as the read ng system.
2Interface
The AMP has a RS232 or USB nterface. The standard parameters are: 19200 baud, 1 startb t, 8
datab ts, 1 stopb t, no par tyb t.

.1 Changing the modes
There are 3 d fferent modes to sw tch the channels of the AMP 4/8:
Mode 1: v a RS232/USB nterface
Mode 2: v a reader ARE 2
Mode 3: v a d g tal nputs
The d fferent modes effect just the sw tch ng of the channels. All other nstruct ons are everyt me ava l-
able v a the RS232/USB nterface.
You have to save the sett ngs w th the command “VSAVE” after chang ng the mode to make th s sett ng
ava lable after a new start of the AMP 4/8.
