The TestPro CV100 features a touchscreen based interface. Product capabilities include:

Powering on : press for 1 second
 press the button once and then select [Power O] on the
touchscreen
Force shutdown : press and hold the power button for 6 seconds or longer.
Note that Force Shutdown may result in loss of recent test data.

Starts an Autotest (Type of Autotest depends on the adapter attached to
the unit.

menu and to view results.

Red : battery charging (when unit is o)
Amber : battery charging (when unit is on)
Green : battery not charging (when unit is on)
Establishes a USB-based wired link between a TestPro CV100 unit and a
personal computer
Test results can be transferred to PC software (TestDataPro) via this
connection.
USB ash drive connection to store test results and for software updates.
For validation testing of cables up to 1G (functionality is built into the basic
TestPro CV100 kit).
Connection for 5V DC supply (WARNING : Do not connect to any power
supply other than the power adapter supplied by AEM).
A variety of plug and play adapters can be used to change the function of
the TestPro CV100 modular platform.
Alternative method of using the touchscreen.
Retract stand to place it on a table or any other at surface, freeing user to
perform other tasks while keeping an eye on the screen.

Congure the settings such as date/time, user
interface, certier/validator settings, language and
also access system information by selecting .

Select [Date Time].
Set the date and timing using the arrows.
Use the drop down menu to select the timezone.
Enable the checkbox [Sync Time with server] and
select . Note: The timezone will only sync when
TestPro detects Internet connectivity.

available when the TestPro is in battery mode. It is
not available when the unit is attached to a power

Adjust the display brightness or audio volume by
pressing [+] or [-]. To mute, continue to press [-]
until it shows [Mute]

Select [Yes] or [No]. If [Yes], after Autotest, the
test results will be automatically saved using the
available label scheme.
Select [AutoSave with PASS result only] to
autosave the pass results only.
Select to save the settings.
[AutoSave Result], when set to [YES] will save the
test results according to the next available label name.

• [Long Cable] supports the testing of cables
between 500 and 1000 meters
To enable [Long Cable], go to Settings>Certier/
Validator Settings>Long Cable.
Note that the long cable options in the main and
remote TestPro units should be enabled.
This feature is automatically disabled when
devices are restarted.
Click to save the settings.

e. License
Customers who purchased the K05 and K30 kits will
need a certication License to save the test result
when using the AD-CAT6A-CH adapter.
Users with K05 and K30 kits who purchased the
ber kits will not require a license to perform ber
certication test as the license is included with the
purchase of the ber adapter.
To determine if the tester need a license to
perform copper certication tests, go to Main
Menu>Settings>System>Device Information.
Devices with serial numbers beginning with 4 (i.e.
4200-0000) require a certication license.
• The [License] section displays the current license
installed in your TestPro unit. To check the license,
go to Settings>License.
A screen showing the serial numbers of the main
and remote units, the expiry date of the license
and the license type. Email customerservice@
aem-test.com to check the licenses available for
your devices.

• To update a license from a USB, follow these steps:
Save Testpro.lic to the USB ash drive>Power on
TestPro and insert the USB ash drive>Select
[Update License From USB]
• A [License updated] window will conrm that the
license has been updated. Select to close the
window.


Select [Auto Start].
Select [Yes] or [No]. If [Yes], TestPro will
automatically start the Autotest when the cable
under test is connected to the TestPro plug.
When [Auto Start Bidirectional Test after Fiber
Swapping] is enabled, the Autotest will continue
after successfully swapping the ber cable during a
dual-ended bidirectional test. When [Do Autotest
if Wiremap Failed] is enabled, the Autotest will
perform a Autotest when any of the 4 pairs fails the
wiremap.
Select to save the settings.
Auto Start when enabled will automatically start the
Autotest when a connection is detected in any of the test
ports.

Select one of the languages available and then to
save the settings.
Select to restart the device or to restart later.

Select [System] to gain access to information
relating to the device, storage, battery status as well
as to restore the TestPro CV100 to factory settings.

• Click [Settings] on the home screen, then [System]
and then [Device Type].
Select either [Main] or [Remote] and then select
to save the changes.
Select to reboot the device for changes to take
eect.

j. Storage
[Storage] displays the capacity and used and free
space on the TestPro unit.
Click to open the USB menu.

Select [Settings] on the home screen, then
[System] and then [Battery].
User will be brought to a screen showing the
charging status, time remaining, battery voltage,
current battery status and input voltage.
Select to exit the screen.
[Reset Battery Gauge] recalibrate discrepancies in
the battery reading. Use this feature only when the
battery percentage is uctuating.
Note: i. Ensure that the battery is fully charged
100% ii. Select [Reset Battery Gauge]. iii. TestPro
will apply the changes and restart the device. AEM
recommends to charge the battery overnight.

l. Restore Factory Settings
Select [Settings] on the home screen, then [System]
and then [Restore Factory Settings].
On the popup, select to restore the device to
default factory settings. The device will restart.

m. Factory Menu
[Factory Menu] is for manufacturer’s internal use only.
Access to this function is not available to users.
