Please install batteries carefully according to the pole indicated on the
thermometer and on the batteries.
•First use or when installing a new battery, wait for 10 minutes for warm-up
before talking measurements.
•If the thermometer is not in use for a long time, the first start will detect
ambient temperature, and the startup time extended to 2 seconds.
6.2 The Correct Way of Measurement
Align the thermometer at the forehead (between the eyebrows above) and
maintain the vertical distance of 3 to 5 cm., press the switch for temperature
measurement, display shows the measured temperature immediately.
•Before taking measurements, please ensure that no hair, sweat, cosmetics or
hats are covering the measurement area.
•Environment temperature changes affects the forehead temperature or
forehead sweating, then please take measurement from the earlobe.
•Environment temperature at the measured human environment should be in a
stable condition, away from air flow of fan, air conditioning and other large
equipments.
•When the thermometer is moved to an environment with large temperature
difference, the thermometer shall be placed idle and stable for 20 minutes
before measurement.
•If a fever patient is applied with forehead cold compress, other cooling
measures or is sweating, the measurement result will be low. Should avoid
measurement in these cases.
•Suggest doing measurement test 3 times, to display a set of data the most
reliable.
6.3 Description of Keys / Buttons
•MODE key: Select measurement MODE to Body temperature OR Surface
temperature
Setting: Click the MODE button for selection of temperature mode (the LCD
screen display "body" character), and then click gain to select surface mode
(the LCD screen displays the "surface" character).
•SET key main functions are:
•F1: Celsius centigrade and Fahrenheit Fahrenheit selection.
Setting method: Press SET button, screen displays F1, then click
Power-ON/OFF key to select to Celsius degrees or Fahrenheit degrees.
•F2: Buzzer switch
Setting; Press SET button 2 times, screen displays F2, then click Power-
ON/OFF key to switch the buzzer sounds (default is buzzer OFF).
