WirelessGRID-300 firmwarewill not allowtheendusertochangeor
modify thecountry codesettingsof thisproduct.Theavailability of
specificchannelsand/oroperationalfrequency bandsarecountry
dependent andareprogrammedin firmwaretomatch theintended
destination,by AIRAYACorp.factory personnelonly.
Thissolution offersproven,fast,reliable,andsecurewireless connectivity
with considerablecost savingscomparedtowiredalternatives.Utilizing
proprietary 5.725-5.850 GHz technology,theWirelessGRID-300 bridge
can easily replacean Ethernet ormultipleT1 connectionsorseamlessly

1. Connect the ToNetwork port on theindoorinjectorunit toyour
1000/100 MbpsEthernet switch orrouterusingastraight-through
Category 5 UTPcable.
2. Connect thepowerbrick tothe 48 VDCIn powersocket on theindoor
injectorunit andthen plugthepowerbrick intothewall power
receptacle. Warning:Useonly thepoweradaptersuppliedwith the
WirelessGRID-300 bridgein ordertoprevent damage.
3. You arenowready toapply powertotheoutdoorunit.Connect the 48V
OUT+Signal port totheoutdoorunit usingtheincluded(black)
Category 5ecableattachedtotheoutdoorunit.The 48VOUT LEDwill
light toindicatethat theindoorinjectorunitisactiveandoutputting48
volts,.4 ampstothe 48VOUT+Signal port.
TIP
Afterapplyingpowertotheoutdoorunit,thelinklightonyournetwork
connection(SwitchorRouterPort)shouldbeon.

You can configurethenetwork,radio,andsecurity parametersof the
WirelessGRID-300 bridgeusingthebuilt-inWirelessGRID-300 Network
Management System(NMS).Thisweb-basedconfiguration utility greatly
simplifiesthesetupprocess by allowingyou toaccess all parametersand
settingsthrough asingle,consistent userinterface.
GettingStarted
Thefactory default IPaddress of theWirelessGRID-300 bridgeis
192.168.1.70.Typethat stringintotheaddress fieldof yourbrowserand
press the Return key toload theWirelessGRID-300 NMS.
You will bepromptedforaUserNameandPassword.Refertothenext
section forinformation about default settings.
LoggingintotheWirelessGRID-300Web-basedNMS
TheWirelessGRID-300 bridgerequiresyou toenterausernameand
passwordtogain access totheconfiguration utility.Thedefault User
Name and Password is“Airaya.”

SubnetMask –Current subnet mask of thebridgeyou areworkingwith.
Thesubnet mask allowsnetworkingsoftwaretodeterminewhich partsof
theIPaddress specify thenetwork address andwhich partsspecify the
host address.
GatewayAddress –Current gateway address of thebridgeyou are
workingwith.IPpacketsdestinedforothersubnetsareautomatically
sent tothedefault gateway,which routestraffictothecorrect network.
MACAddress –UniqueEthernet address of bridgeyou areworkingwith.
RadioNetworkSettings
WirelessGRID-300 ID –Displaysauniquenetwork ID.Allbridgesin a
WirelessGRID-300 network arerequiredtousethesameWirelessGRID-
300 ID.
RadioChannelWidth –Current channelwidth (measuredin Megahertz)
of thebridge.

Followthesestepstoadd abridgetotheWirelessGRID-300 authorization
list:
1. Enterthe MACAddress of anewbridge.
2. Press Add New toincludethenewbridgein theWirelessGRID-300
list.
3. Confirmthat thenewentry wasenteredcorrectly by reviewingthelist
at thebottomof thepage.
4. Ifthedeviceisabasestation,continueaddingbridgesuntil you are
finished.
5. Press Reboot tocyclepowerandenablenewsettings.
FollowthesestepstoremoveabridgefromtheWirelessGRID-300 list:
1. Press Delete.
2. On thenext screen,press Delete toconfirmor Cancel toreturn to
theWirelessGRID-300 list screen without removingtheentry.
TIP
EachbridgecontainsaWirelessGRID-300authorizationlist,andall
bridgesrequirereciprocalentriestocommunicate. Subscriberunitsand
point-to-point bridgessupportoneWirelessGRID-300listentry.

The NetworkSettings screen isusedtomodify yourwirednetwork IP
Address, SubnetMask,and DefaultGatewayAddress.
Thescreen includesthefollowingentries:
IP Address –TheIPaddress of thebridgeyou areworkingwith.TheIP
address foreachbridgemust beunique;check with yournetwork
administratorforthecorrect IPaddress assignedtothisdevice. Default IP
address:192.168.1.70.
SubnetMask –Thesubnet mask allowsnetworkingsoftwareto
determinewhich partsof theIPaddress specify thenetwork address and
which partsspecify thehost address. Default Subnet Mask:
255.255.255.0.
DefaultGatewayAddress – IPpacketsdestinedforothersubnetsare
automatically sent tothedefault gateway,which routesthetraffictothe
correct network.Thegateway address mustbespecifiedfollowingthe
sameconvention astheIPaddress. DefaultGateway Address:
192.168.1.1.
