Three Stage Purification Process:
Melt-Blown Fiber Filter (MBF) - Rated up to 95% @ 0.3 microns
Your new air purification unit utilizes the three stages shown above to strip
away smaller and smaller particles from the air, creating compounding
efficiency. The front of the diffuser directs the clean air at a 50 degree
angle towards the patrons to provide an air curtain between smoking
patrons and the employee, while the air from the rear of the diffuser is
directed straight up to provide the employee with purified air.

Melt-Blown Fiber
Filter Media
Melt-Blown Fiber filter media is the next
generation of HEPA filter media. The Melt-
Blown Fiber filter media used in the Airistar
®
100GT is rated to
capture 95% of particles larger than 0.3 microns at airflow ratios that
surpass traditional HEPA filters.
Activated Carbon
VOC Filter
VOC’s are gases and odors that are emitted
from certain solid and liquid compounds.
Airistar’s multipurpose VOC filter helps eliminate unwanted
gases and fumes associated with tobacco products.
MERV 8 Pre-filter
Our pre-filter is MERV 8 pleated media. It is
designed to remove larger airborne particles in the range of
3-10 microns in size or larger. This would include substances such
as certain types of bacteria, mold and plant spores, as well as lung
damaging dust. By extracting these larger particles first; this allows
the two remaining filters to collect smaller particulate at a more
efficient rate.

Installation of the Airistar®100GT
Examine the Airistar 100GT blower, diffuser and your installation
location and plan your installation methods.
To mount the blower beneath a table with the provided brackets:
1. Determine the mounting location
a. Check that power jack and filter door are accessible.)
b. A pathway for the airduct to the diffuser will also need to
be accomodated.)
2. Use the installation template to locate and pre-drill the screw holes.
3. Install the mounting bracket to the surface.
a. Mount with the set screw end of the brackets in the direction
from which you will install the blower unit.
b. Leave the screws slightly loose for later adjustments.
4. Loosen the set screws on the mounting brackets and slide the blower
into position with the air exit nozzle oriented toward the diffuser.
a. Tighten the set screws on the mounting brackets to lock the
blower unit into position.
b. Adjust the mounting brackets slightly as necessary and tighten
the mounting screws.
Note: Other mounting locations are possible with consideration taken for the power jack,
filter door and pathway for the air duct to the diffuser.
To mount the diffuser to the table with the provided mounting brackets:
1. Determine the location and method for mounting the diffuser.
Note: There are both large and small mounting brackets provided for multiple
mounting options.
2. Use the installation template (provided in kit) to mark the cut out area
on the table.
Note: Be sure to provide clearance to accomodate the mounting brackets and screws.
3. Check the fit of the diffuser and brackets into the cut out and determine
the cut length of the air duct hose.
4. Cut the air duct hose to length.
(The nozzles on the blower and diffuser require approximately a +/- 1/2” tolerance.)
5. Install the air duct hose to the blower and diffuser. Preload but do not
tighten the adjustable band clamps.
6. Place the diffuser into position and adjust the mounting brackets to the
proper position for your installation.
7. Mark the locations for the mounting screws and drill pilot holes.
(Adjust the mounting brackets for the desired positioning.)
8. Install the mounting screws and complete final adjustments.
Note: It the diffuser will be mounted through a table (full perimeter cut-out) the face plate
will have to be removed with a security screw driver (spanner) and re-installed after
the diffuser is mounted through the table. Call your sales representative or
Airistar Customer Service if you have any questions about custom mounting.
