Section 1
Hard Drive Installation
Step 2 Pull out the front panel.
Step 3 Put the 3.5-inch IDE hard drive into the plate, and connect the IDE and
power cables to it.

WARNING:
Step 1 Unfasten the two screws at the rear side of the device, and pull out the
backcover.
ThisNetworkAttachedStoragedeviceis nothot-swappable.Pleasemake sure that
itis turned off andnot connected to thepower outlet when performingthefollowing
assemblyprocedure.

Step 6 Re-attach the back panel to the device and secure it with the two screws
removedin step 1.
Step 7 ConnectHome NAS toyour hub,switch, or routerwith theprovided Ethernet
cable, and connect the supplied power adapter. Plug the power cord into a power
outlet.
(Note: You can also connect this device to your computer directly via the provided
USBorEthernet cable to use it as anexternal hard drive. However,theHome Nas
should not be connected with both Ethernet and USB cables at the same time.)

Step 8Turn it on by pressing the powerswitch on the front of the device.Verify the
Power light is lit.
Step 5 Insert the plastic plate back to the device.
Congratulations! The hard drive installation is complete. For more informa-
tion about this product, please refer to the User's Manual in the provided
CD.
Step 4 Secure the drive to the plastic plate on the sides with the provided four
screws.

Section 2
Accessing Home NAS
To access Home NAS, double-click on My Network Place or open Windows
Explorer and then type in “\\homenas” into theAddress bar and press Enter.
Now you can begin accessing your files and using Home NAS to store/backup
your data.
Section 3 (optional)
Configuring Home NAS
You can configure OfficeNASusing either your web browser(Internet Explorer or
Firefox) or using the Utility provided in the installation CD.
Step 1 To use your web browser, open up the browser and in theAddress bar
type in http://homenas and press Enter or hit the Go button.
Step 3 Please consult the User’s Manual located on the installation CD for
moreinformtion on how to conifigure yournewAirlink101 HomeNAS.
For more information on how to use the Utility (optional), please consult
Section 3 in the User’s Manual.
Step 2 When prompted for a username and password, type in admin for the
username and admin for the password in lowercase letters.
