the antennaorcablesystem.Thiswill presentdamage tothe productduetolighteningand
power-line surges.
16.POWERLINES -Anoutside antenna systemshouldnotbe located inthe vicinityofoverhead
powerlinesorotherelectriclightorpowercircuits,orwhereitcan fall intosuchpowerlinesor
otherelectriclightorpowercircuits,orwhereitcan fall intosuchpowerlinesorcircuits.When
installingan outsideantenna system,extremecareshouldbetaken tokeep fromtouching such
powerlinesorcircuitsascontactwiththemmightbe fatal.

BATTERYINSTALLATION
1.Open the batterycompartmentcover.2. Install two“AA/UM-3”3.Replacethe cover.
(penlightsize)batteries.
BATTERYCAUTIONS
•Usetwo“AA/UM-3”sizepenlightbatteriesforthe remotecontrolhandset.
•Useonlythe sizeand type ofbatteriesspecified.
•Besuretofollowthe correctpolaritywhen installing the batteriesasindicated inthe batterycompartment. Reversed batteries
maycausedamage tothe device.
•Donotmixdifferenttypesofbatteriestogether(e.g.alkaline and carbon-zinc)oroldbatterieswithfreshones.
•If the deviceinnottobe used foralong period oftime,itisrequired toremovethe batteriestopreventdamage orinjuryfrom
possiblebatteryleakage.
•Donottrytorecharge batterieswhichisnotintended tobe recharged;theycan overheatand rupture.(followbattery
manufacturer'sdirections)
•Weakbatteriescan leakand severelydamage the unit.
•Always removebatteriesassoon astheybecomeweak.
•The batteriesofremotecontrolhandsetmaylastapproximatelyone yeardepending on howmuchthe remotecontrolhandset

REMOTECONTROLOPERATION
The following cases,the remotecontrolmaynotoperate:
•When thereisan obstaclebetween yourTV/DVDand the remotecontrol.
•If you trytooperateyourTV/DVDfromadistancegreaterthan 7metres.
•If you trytooperateyourTV/DVDawayfromthe normalviewing angle(over30°either
side ofthe remotesensor).
NOTE:When directsunlight, an incandescentlamp,fluorescentlamporanyother
strong lightshineson the remotesensor,the remotecontroloperation maybe unstable.
ANTENNA CONNECTION
Connectan indoororoutdoorantenna tothe antenna socket(15)atthe rearpanel.
Forall antenna circuitproblems,pleaseconsultyourlocaldealer.
EXTERNALANTENNA
The type ofantenna required dependson the position ofyourhome,it’s distancefromthe transmitterand localinterference.If
you do nothavean antenna and you areuncertainofwhattobuy,you shouldseekthe adviceofalocalantenna contractor.
POWERSOURCE
Insertthe ACOutletcordplug into230V/50HzACoutlet.
Afteryou haveconnected the Antenna and Powersource,you mustcheck thatyourTV/DVD
isproperlyinstalled.
Press MAINPOWERswitchon the frontpanel,the red standbyindicatorwill light.
Turnon yourTV/DVDbypressing POWERon the frontpaneloron the remotecontrol.

ConnectyourTVaerialtothe aerialinputsocketlocated on the back ofthe TV.
Pushthe MainPowerSwitch,PowerIndicatorwill be illuminated.Afterafewsecondsthe TVscreen will lightup.Shouldwhite
dotsappearon the screen the TVwill requiretuning intothe availableTVstationsinyourarea.

BasicOperation
1.Press “TV/AV/DVD”button on the unitorpress the DVDMODEdirectkeyon the remotehandsettoturnONDVD.
2.Press “OPEN/CLOSE (EJECT)”button toload disc indisc tray.
3.Press “OPEN/CLOSE”button toclosethe tray.
•Holdthe disc withouttouching eitherofitssurfaces,position itwiththe printed titleside facing up.
Play Discs
1.Press the OPEN/CLOSE Button on the frontpaneland load the Disc on the tray.
The labelside shouldbe facing upwards.ForaDouble-sided DVDDisc,putthe disc withlabelA/1up.
2.Press the OPEN/CLOSE button againtoclosethe trayand the disc will be loaded.
3.The Disc will be played automatically.
•If itisaDVDdisc,itwill showthe Menu/TitlePage on the screen.
•If itisaCD,itwill playthe firsttrack directly.
4.Press the STOPButton ifyou wanttostop theDisc playbackYou can resumeplayback bypressing the PLAY button and itwill start
atthe location whereyou havepressed stopped (ResumePlay).
5.Press the STOPButton twicetohavetheDisc reallystopped.
