11.GROUNDINGORPOLARIZATION-Thisproductmaybe equipped withapolarized
alternating-currentlineplug (aplughavingone bladewiderthan the other).Thisplugwill fitinto
thepoweroutletonlyoneway.Thisisasafetyfeature:If youareunabletoinsertthe plugfully
intotheoutlet, tryreversingthe plug.If the plugshouldstill failtofit,contactyourelectricianto
replaceyourobsoleteoutlet.Donotdefeatthe safetypurposeofthe polarized plug.

15.LIGHTENING-Foradded protection forthisproductduring alightening storm,orwhen itisleft
unattended and unused forlong periodsoftime,unplug itfromthewall outletand disconnect
the antennaorcablesystem.Thiswill presentdamage tothe productduetolighteningand
power-line surges.
16.POWERLINES -Anoutside antenna systemshouldnotbe located inthe vicinityofoverhead
powerlinesorotherelectriclightorpowercircuits,orwhereitcan fall intosuchpowerlinesor
otherelectriclightorpowercircuits,orwhereitcan fall intosuchpowerlinesorcircuits.When
installingan outsideantenna system,extremecareshouldbetaken tokeep fromtouching such
powerlinesorcircuitsascontactwiththemmightbe fatal.
17.OVERLOADING-Donotoverload wall outlets,extension cords,orintegralconvenience
receptaclesasthiscan resultinarisk offireorelectricshock.
18.OBJECTAND LIQUIDENTRY-Neverpushobjectsofanykind intothisproductthrough
openingsastheymaytouchdangerousvoltagepointsorshort-outpartsthatcouldresultina

BATTERYINSTALLATION
1.Open the batterycompartmentcover.2. Install two“AA/UM-3”3.Replacethe cover.
(penlightsize)batteries.
BATTERYCAUTIONS
•Usetwo“AA/UM-3”sizepenlightbatteriesforthe remotecontrolhandset.
•Useonlythe sizeand type ofbatteriesspecified.
•Besuretofollowthe correctpolaritywhen installing the batteriesasindicated inthe batterycompartment. Reversed batteries
maycausedamage tothe device.
•Donotmixdifferenttypesofbatteriestogether(e.g.alkaline and carbon-zinc)oroldbatterieswithfreshones.
•If the deviceinnottobe used foralong period oftime,itisrequired toremovethe batteriestopreventdamage orinjuryfrom
possiblebatteryleakage.
•Donottrytorecharge batterieswhichisnotintended tobe recharged;theycan overheatand rupture.(followbattery
manufacturer'sdirections)
•Weakbatteriescan leakand severelydamage the unit.
•Always removebatteriesassoon astheybecomeweak.
•The batteriesofremotecontrolhandsetmaylastapproximatelyone yeardepending on howmuchthe remotecontrolhandset
isused.
•Forthe bestperformanceitisrecommended the batteriesofremotecontrolhandsetbe replaced on ayearlybasis,orwhen
remotecontroloperation becomeserratic.
REMOTECONTROLOPERATION
The following cases,the remotecontrolmaynotoperate:
•When thereisan obstaclebetween yourTV/DVDand the remotecontrol.
•If you trytooperateyourTV/DVDfromadistancegreaterthan 7metres.
•If you trytooperateyourTV/DVDawayfromthe normalviewing angle(over30°either
side ofthe remotesensor).
NOTE:When directsunlight, an incandescentlamp,fluorescentlamporanyother
strong lightshineson the remotesensor,the remotecontroloperation maybe unstable.
ANTENNA CONNECTION
Connectan indoororoutdoorantenna tothe antenna socket(15)atthe rearpanel.
Forall antenna circuitproblems,pleaseconsultyourlocaldealer.
EXTERNALANTENNA
The type ofantenna required dependson the position ofyourhome,it’s distancefromthe transmitterand localinterference.If
you do nothavean antenna and you areuncertainofwhattobuy,you shouldseekthe adviceofalocalantenna contractor.
POWERSOURCE
Insertthe ACOutletcordplug into230V/50HzACoutlet.
Afteryou haveconnected the Antenna and Powersource,you mustcheck thatyourTV/DVD
isproperlyinstalled.
Press MAINPOWERswitchon the frontpanel,the red standbyindicatorwill light.
Turnon yourTV/DVDbypressing POWERon the frontpaneloron the remotecontrol.

TVOPERATION
ConnectyourTVaerialtothe aerialinputsocketlocated on the back ofthe TV.
Pushthe MainPowerSwitch,PowerIndicatorwill be illuminated.Afterafewsecondsthe TVscreen will lightup.Shouldwhite
dotsappearon the screen the TVwill requiretuning intothe availableTVstationsinyourarea.
Pre-setting theTVstationsintotheMemory
(Note:Presettuning can onlybe carried outinTVMode)
1.Press MENU button tosee mainMENU.
2.Press the VOLbutton /toselectTUNEmode asshowninfigure1.
AUTOSEARCH
1.Press the CH button toselectthe AUTOSEARCH (automemorystore)mode
asshowninfigure2.
2.Press the VOLbutton tostartthe automaticscanning processes,the on air
stationswill automaticstoreintomemoryasshowninfigure3.
•When scanning iscompleted,the setwill tune tolowestprogramand show
lowestprogramnumberon the screen.
•If wanttostop autosearchfunction,press the MENU button.
•Press the CH button toselectthe SKIPand press VOL
/toselecton oroff,Thisfunction usefordeletesome
unwantchannels.
SEARCH (manual)
1.Press MENU button.
2.Press the VOL/toselectTUNE
3.Press the CH orbutton and selectSEARCH.
4.Press the VOLorbutton tostartsearching up ordownthe frequency.
5.When aTVstation islocated,the station will show.
6.Press CH /button until Programshows.
7.Press the VOL/button and selectwhichposition.
Tostorethe TVstation i.eBBC1=1,BBC2=2and soon.
8.Tostorethe station,press the CH /button until Storeshows.Nowpress the VOLbutton tostorethe station.
Repeat2to7aboveand storethe remaining TVchannelsinyourarea.
