1 Mini XLR inputs (2x): Two microphones can be
provided with supply voltage.
2 Output jack 3.5 mm is connected to a pocket
transmitter, mixer or recording device (notebook,
Tablet PC).
3 CLIP LED: This LED lights up if the audio level is too
high.
4 MIC/LINE selector switch: With this switch, the
output level is adjusted to match the input device.
5 VOLUME controls: Both input signals are mixed with
the VOLUME controls to balance audio level
differences, e.g., between voice and instrument.
6 MONO/STEREO selector switch for use of the unit in
MONO or STEREO operation mode.
7 ON/OFF switch: The unit has an ON/OFF switch for
operation. In the "Off" position, there is no drain on the
batteries.
NOTE
Please switch the unit off when not in use. In this way, the
lifespan of the batteries is prolonged.

Application
6) Play the instrument.
7) Set the VOLUME control (5) of the inputs in such a
way that the CLIP LEDs (3) occasionally light up
shortly.
For stereo recording with two microphones or a
microphone and instrument, the B23 L battery power
supply unit is preconfigured to "STEREO":
1) connect two microphones or a microphone and an
instrument to the B23 L.
Plug the mini XLR plug on the cable of your
microphone to an audio input jack (1).
Insert the jack connector plug of the MKG L
guitar cable (optional accessories) into the
output jack of your instrument and the guitar
cable's mini XLR plug into the audio input
jack on the B23 L.
2) Connect the B23 L with a pocket transmitter, mixer or
recording device over the output jack (2).
3) Set the selector switch (4) of both inputs to "MIC".
4) Set the selector switch (6) to "STEREO".
5) Switch on the B23 L using the ON/OFF switch (7).
6) Sing into the microphone or play into the instrument.
7) Set the VOLUME control (5) of the inputs in such a
way that the CLIP LEDs (3) occasionally light up
shortly.

Application
NOTE
If the CLIP LED lights up frequently or continuously due to
loud singing or playing, the input sensitivity is too high. Turn
the VOLUME control down slightly, or change the selector
switch from MIC to LINE so that the CLIP LED occasionally
lights up shortly.
The B23 L output signal can be used on your notebook or
Tablet PC for purposes of further processing or recording.
Connect a notebook or a Tablet PC to the B23 L
battery power supply unit.
Insert a jack connector plug into the jack
output (2) and the two jack connector plugs
into the appropriate input jack of your
notebook or Tablet PC.
NOTE
Please only use cables shorter than 3 m in length.
