than solid-stateeffectsbecauseofthe tubeheaters
and high voltage operation.Togetanidea,takea

pedals without compromising tonequality.

Notes
Wheninstalling theAtomic,ensureadequate
ventilation aroundtheenclosureanddonotobscure
the ventilation holes. Effectrode miniaturetubepedals
typically drawjustover1amp(1000mA)eachwhen
theyhavewarmed up andthis unitwill alsogetwarm
whenpowering severalpedals.Onpowerup,the
LEDson the frontpanelwill flashforafewseconds
whilethe tubeheaters warmup.Currentdrawis
higherfortubepedals during initialstart-up conditions,
asthe heaterfilamentresistanceis lowerwhen they
arecold.Asthe filamentwarmsup,theresistance
increasesand the tubeheaters begintogloworange.
It typically takesafewsecondsorthis tohappenand
afurtherfewsecondsis required fortheheaterto
beginwarmingthecathode tothe required
temperature.

Andfinally,herearethejumpersettingsfor9Vcenter
positivepedals.

The first poweroutput canbeusedtopower9Vcenter
negativepedals inadaisy-chainasshownbelow. Configuration
The Atomic can be configuredtopower9Vcenter
negativeorcenterpositivepedals using internaljumpers.
Toaccess the jumpers first make sure theunitis
disconnectedfrom mainspower outlet toavoidthe
possibilityofalethalelectric shock.Removethe six
screwson the baseofthepedalandremovethe
baseplate.The Atomic shipsinstandardconfigurationof
12Vcenterpositiveasshowninthefigurebelow.
