Introduction
NDAS (Network Direct Attached Storage) software makes MediaGate MG-35 as network external
storage system. PCs on Network recognize Hard Disk in MG35 as separated Hard Disk Drive. File
copying, deleting is possible via LAN. If you use NDAS function, you can use MG-35 as file server or
media server in your house and office.
If you use NDAS function, you can freely copying, transferring, deleting files without any sharing setting (IP setting,
Subnet mask setting, Sharing folder setting. etc)
If you want to play files in your PC using MG-35, please see ‘Access PC via Network’ in MG-35’s manual.

Precautions
√Please do not connect LAN Cable and USB Cable at the same time.
√PC has to have 10/100Mbps LAN Card to use network function.
√ If you change NDAS option “ON,” every time you change Network setting you have to turn off MG-
35 and turn on again. If you will not use NDAS function, please set NDAS option “Off”
√Maximum speed of NDAS function is 10Mbps. If you play media file at MG-35 and use NDAS option
at the same time, the speed can be slower. Network speed can be down depends on Environmental
factors or computer specification.
√If you see the caution referring ‘The Software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo
testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP.’, please click ‘Continue Anyway’
√Please open ‘My Computer’ and check if Hard Disk in MG-35 is conceived as Hard Disk Drive of
local network. (HDD in MG-35 looks like external Hard Disk Drive. C:, D:, E: or F: ) If you cannot see
Hard Disk Drive, please turn off MG-35 and turn on again. (Recognition can take some time.)
√ To remove NDAS function safely, please double click the icon in right bottom tray. (just like removing
external Hard Disk Drive.)
