This manual is an integral part of the product and must be provided to the customer
at the point of purchase.
This user manual applies to the photocatalytic air purifier AL SA-100 (hereinafter –
air purifier, product, device) designed for purification of air of any types of
microbiological contaminants (mold spores, viruses, bacteria), dust, solid and liquid
aerosols, any types of allergens, unpleasant odors, and toxic substances. The air
purifier can be used continuously indoors in the presence of humans and pets.
The aim of this manual is to provide description of proper connection, use and
maintenance of the air purifier.
The user should carefully read the manual before using the device. Danger
warnings, regarding a potential hazard associated with the use of the product, are
highlighted in the text.

3Design and Technical Specifications
3.1 Overview of the Air Purifier SA-100
3.2 Description of the main Components
1. Pre-filter –removes dust and particles larger than 15 μm in size.
2. Aerosols charging unit –ensures a symmetrical electrostatic field inside the
element and 99.9% filtration efficiency for particles between 0.1 and 100 μm in
size.
3. Combined polarized adsorption-photocatalytic filter –traps the
particulates up to 0.1 μm in size, adsorbs unpleasant odors, toxic chemical
substances, allergens, viruses, bacteria, etc. The technology allows using the
polarized filter as a precipitator for charged particles. The adsorption-
photocatalytic stage prevents the penetration of harmful substances by
adsorbing them on the surface of the catalytically active, modified carbon
sorbent. The technology of joint action of adsorption and photocatalysis makes
the adsorbent catalytically effective, and regeneratable during operation. The

photocatalyst oxidizes micro-organic substances, volatile organic compounds,
and allergerns to harmless components –carbon dioxide, water and atmospheric
nitrogen.
4. UV-A emitter –UV-radiation provides energy for activation of the
photocatalyst. The device is equipped with UV-lamp with the wavelength of 320-
400 nm (spectrum A).
5. Fan –Ensures circulation of air from the room through the unit and its filters.

4Product use
4.1 Placement of the Product
SA-100 must be positioned to stand vertically on an even base.
The device has wheels on the bottom for portability. All four wheels can be locked
for convenience.
Place the device so that the furniture has the minimal impact on the course of air
flow.
The best level of air purification is achieved near the device. Therefore, it’s
recommended to place the device close to workstation or near sources of
problematic particles to prevent spreading.
Attention
Placing the device on its side and tilting is PROHIBITED during operation.
Do not cover ventilation holes with clothes, or any other materials, objects,
that may prevent circulation of air inside the air purifier!
IT IS PROHIBITED to sit or stand on the device.
4.2 Turning the Product ON
Danger
The product is not intended for the use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory, and intellectual capabilities in the absence of
supervision or without special knowledge. Do not allow children to play
with the device!
The air purifier must be grounded for safe operation! The device is grounded
using the grounding pin in the 230V outlet. Connecting the air purifier to
the socket without grounding pin is PROHIBITED.
Attention
Before using the product for the first time, make sure that it is warmed up
to room temperature and that there is no condensation on it! If the product
is transported at negative temperatures, it must be kept indoors for at least
1 hour.

Page 9/30
Plug the device into a grounded 230V socket. Switch on the device using the air
supply controller (Fig. 1) by turning it clockwise. Set the required level of air supply.
The continuous work time is unlimited.
SA-100 takes in the contaminated air from the bottom and let purified air out
through the upper part of the unit.
The device effectively collects contaminants on the filters inside it.
Danger
Air purifier CANNOT BE used for the purposes different from the intended
purpose, stated in the user manual.
IT IS PROHIBITED to use the device in humid environments with relative
air humidity above 90% (for example, in bathroom).
IT IS PROHIBITED to use the device for purification of air that contains
flammable gas, corrosive gas, combustible dust (wood, grain, etc.) and
conductive dust. Do not allow flammable substances to get inside the
device (e.g., hair spray).
If the product is used together with an air humidifier, do not allow water
mist to get directly inside the device!
Do not allow water inside the product! Do not place the product near water
vases or other containers! If water is penetrated, immediately unplug the
power cord from the outlet and stop using the device.
If water penetration causes a short circuit and a circuit breaker in the
distribution board of building trips, IT IS PROHIBITED to turn the electricity
back on before the source of the causes of the circuit breaker tripping is
established. To clarify the reason, contact a specialist with relevant
electrical engineering skills who maintains the building.
Do not put fingers or drop objects into the apertures of the air purifier.
Attention
Use only 230V/50Hz power supply to connect the air purifier!
Never unplug equipment from the electrical outlet by holding the cord only,
always disconnect the cord by applying force directly to the plug.

4.3 Turning the product ON after a long Break in Operation
A “sour” smell may occur in the purified air when it is turned on after long breaks.
This is not a malfunction and associated with gas adsorption on the surface of a
photocatalyst in the absence of UV-radiation. After a short time of operation, the
photocatalyst self-cleaning takes place and the smell disappears.

5Emergency Situations
The most likely emergency events are:
−presence of unusual noise;
−foreign objects or water penetration inside the device;
−disconnection from the ground.
Attention
In the presence of faults (for example, burning smell), immediately
switch off the device! Contact the manufacturer for the following advice.
In case of an emergency situation, the air purifier must be immediately
switched off and completely disconnected from the power!
In case of emergency, the following actions should be taken:
1. Unplug the device from the outlet.
2. Provide first aid to the injured (if necessary);
3. Use emergency firefighting equipment (if necessary);
4. Call emergency (if necessary);
5. Inform the manufacturer of the air purifier about the emergency situation.

6Maintenance, Repair and Replacement
The owner of the device is allowed to carry out maintenance. Due to safety reasons,
repair shall be carried out by a person authorised by the manufacturer.
Chapter 6.2 provides detailed maintenance description, which can be done by the
owner.
In case of questions regarding maintenance, repair or replacement, contact the
manufacturer (chapter 6.1).
Danger
IT IS PROHIBITED to introduce any unauthorised changes to modifications
and construction of the product.
IT IS PROHIBITED to perform maintenance while the power is on.
Switch off the device and unplug the power cord before cleaning or
maintenance!
IT IS PROHIBITED to use the air purifier without the filters.
IT IS PROHIBITED to carry out repairs by unauthorised personnel
unfamiliar with the required tools, equipment and potential hazards.
IT IS PROHIBITED to clean the device using flammable or toxic substances
(e.g., solvents).
Warning
When cleaning the aerosols charging unit with a high level of
contamination, it is allowed to use water and detergents but after
treatment the aerosols charging unit must be completely dried before
switching on the air purifier.
Filters must be regularly replaced once they are clogged. Untimely
replacement may lead to the device overheating and failure, as well as to
a decrease in efficiency of filtration.
