Allgemeines zum BT 2000
Das Freisprech-Set BT 2000 ist als komfortabel zu tragende Freisprecheinrichtung für Festnetztelefone, wie
z.B. Bürotelefone, aber auch PC’s und Notebooks (über Spezialanschlusskabel als Sonderzubehör)
vorgesehen. Die neue BluetoothTM Technologie ermöglicht eine zuverlässige und abhörsichere kabellose
Übertragung zu Ihrem vorhandenen Telefon. Das System besteht aus dem Headset und einem Audio-
Gateway, das den Anschluss an den bisher benutzten Telefonhörer (bzw. Computer/Notebook)
gewährleistet. Gleichzeitig dient der Audio-Gateway als Ablage und Lademöglichkeit für das Bluetooth
Headset. Ein Headset kann mit bis zu 3 verschiedenen anderen Geräten, auch Mobiltelefonen, kombiniert
werden.

Hardwarevoraussetzungen und Sicherheitshinweise:
Es sind fast alle Festnetztelefone anschliessbar, die über einen herkömmlichen Handapparat mit
steckbarer Hörerschnur verfügen. Fast alle modernen Büro- und Heimtelefone sind heute mit steckbaren
Hörerschnüren ausgestattet. Das BT 2000 ersetzt lediglich das Mikrofon und die Hörkapsel Ihres
Telefonhörers, so dass sie sich beim Telefonieren im Umkreis von einigen Metern um Ihren Arbeitsplatz
herum kabellos bewegen können. Es können sowohl analoge Telefone, wie auch ISDN – oder
Systemtelefone benutzt werden. PC’s und Notebooks sind über ein Spezialanschlusskabel (nicht im
Lieferumfang) an den Soundkarten Ein- und Ausgängen anschliessbar. Damit ist das BT 2000 Set wie jedes
drahtgebundene Computer-Headset verwendbar, Spezialsoftware und spezielle Bluetooth-Ausstattung beim
Computer ist nicht erforderlich.
Einige wenige Designtelefone, bei denen im Hörer zusätzliche elektronische Bedienelemente (z.B.
Tastaturen usw) mit untergebracht sind, sind nicht anschliessbar. Ebenso sind Telefone, deren Telefonhörer
anstelle der heute üblichen Elektret-Mikrofonkapseln noch Kohlemikrofone, dynamische oder
piezokeramische Mikrofone oder andere Spezialkapseln enthalten, technisch nicht anschliessbar. Im
Zweifelsfall fragen Sie bitte bei der Firma nach, die Ihre Telefonanlage betreut. Bitte benutzen Sie nur das
mitgelieferte Zubehör. Betreiben Sie den Audio-Gateway bitte nur mit dem vorgesehenen
Steckernetzteil, andere Netzteile können Geräte beschädigen und Telefonleitungen unerwünscht
beeinflussen. Öffnen Sie bitte nie das Headset und versuchen Sie nie, den Lithium Akku selbst
zu wechseln oder gar zu öffnen.
Hinweis: Das Headset kann auch an anderen Geräten mit BluetoothTM Technologie benutzt werden, wie z.B.
Handys oder zukünftige DECT Telefonanlagen mit BluetoothTM Technologie. In diesem Fall dient der Audio-
Gateway nur zum Aufladen und als Ablage, die Hörerschnuranschlüsse bleiben unbenutzt. Die
Anmeldeprozedur (Pairing) bei dem jeweiligen Partnergerät richtet sich dann nach den Anleitungen der
diversen Hersteller. Das Headset des BT 2000 kann an bis zu 3 Partnergeräten angemeldet und mit einem
einfachen Umschaltvorgang benutzt werden! Lesen Sie dazu das entsprechenden Kapitel.
Anschluss des Audio-Gateway an das vorhandene
Telefon
• Ziehen Sie das Kabel des Telefonhörers aus Ihrem
bisher benutztem Telefon heraus und stecken es in
die rechte seitliche Buchse am Audio-Gateway. (1)
• Verbinden Sie das mitgelieferte glatte Telefonkabel
mit der jetzt freigewordenen Handapparatebuchse
Ihres Telefons und mit der freien Buchse auf der
Unterseite des Audio- Gateway. Über die im
Kunststoff eingearbeiteten Schlitze können Sie das
Kabel nach aussen führen. (2)

• Verbinden Sie den DC Stecker des Steckernetzteils mit der Buchse “ DC 5V ” rechts am Audio
Gateway und stecken Sie das Steckernetzteil in eine 230 V Steckdose.
• Stecken Sie Ihren Bluetooth Kopfhörer in den dazu vorgesehenen Schacht am Audio Gateway.
Die Batterieladeanzeige am Audio Gateway leuchtet auf.
• Heben Sie den Hörer Ihres Telefons ab. Sie müssen nun den Amtston hören können und Ihr
Telefon normal (mit dem Original-Hörer) benutzen können. Sollten Sie jetzt nichts hören,
überprüfen Sie die umgesteckten Kabelverbindungen und probieren Sie versuchsweise mit dem
Schiebeschalter auf der Unterseite des Audio Gateways eine der anderen Positionen. In einer
der 8 Positionen werden Sie dann den Wählton hören. Lassen Sie den Schalter dann in dieser
Position. Der Schalter ist erforderlich, weil drahtgebundene Telefone, je nach Fabrikat, die
unterschiedlichsten Kabelschaltungen aufweisen können. In den meisten Fällen ist jedoch
bereits die Voreinstellung (Position 1, Schalter ganz nach links) die richtige.
• Bei Anschluss an PC oder Notebook beachten Sie die dem Anschlusskabel beigefügte Anleitung.
Aufladen des BT 2000 in der Ladeschale des Audio Gateway
Der Ladevorgang begint in dem Moment, in dem der Kopfhörer in den Schacht des Audio Gateway
eingeschoben wird. Es werden ca. 1.5 bis 2.5 Stunden benötigt, um ein vollständig entleertes BT 2000
komplett zu laden. Eine Leuchtdiode links am Gateway informiert über den Ladevorgang. Während des
Ladens leuchtet die Diode orange, bei einem vollgeladenen Akku grün. Eine rot leuchtende Anzeige deutet
auf einen defekten Akku oder ein nicht richtig eingeschobenes Headset hin.
• Der Ladevorgang geht schneller, wenn Sie das BluetoothTM Hörerset vor Laden abschalten (in
Pfeilrichtung).

Vorbereiten des Headsets zum Tragen am Ohr
Das Headset lässt sich (wie auch im Lieferzustand) zum Verstauen, aber
auch zum Aufladen in der Ladeschale zusammenklappen. Zum Tragen
am Ohr klappen Sie bitte den Mikrofonarm (1) nach unten weg. Der
Ohrbügel (2) ist vom Gelenk an flexibel und dient zum Anpassen an die
individuelle Ohrform (4), (5).
Zum Tragen am Ohr muss der Ohrbügel (3) nur leicht (ca. 1-2 cm) nach hinten weggeklappt werden.
Den flexiblen Ohrbügel (3) sollten Sie sich so (4) und (5) zurechtbiegen, dass er gut an Ihrer Ohrmuschel
anliegt. Das Headset wird mit dem Ohrbügel einfach am rechten Ohr (5) eingehängt.
Hinweis: Bitte vermeiden Sie, den Ohrbügel weiter als notwendig herauszuklappen. Es soll nur soweit
Abstand von der Hörerseite haben, dass er sich bequem, ohne zuviel Spiel zu haben, an die Ohrmuschel
hängen lässt. Keineswegs darf der Ohrbügel- wie der Mikrofonarm umgeklappt werden!
Inbetriebnehmen des Bluetooth Headsets
Nachdem Sie Ihr neues Headset eine Weile aufgeladen haben, können Sie es jetzt erstmalig einschalten.
Schieben Sie den Schiebeschalter an der Seite des Headsets auf „ON“.
Beim Telefonieren können Sie jetzt wählen, ob Sie mit den bisherigen Handhörer oder Ihr Bluetooth Headset
benutzen wollen. Zum Telefonieren heben Sie jedoch immer den Hörer Ihres Telefons ab. Gewählt wird auch
mit dem bisher benutzten Telefon. Wenn Sie das Gespräch auf das Bluetooth Headset übergeben wollen,
legen Sie den bisher benutzten Telefonhörer neben das Telefon.

Annehmen von Gesprächen und Einstellen der Lautstärke am Bluetooth-Hörer
Ihr BluetoothTM Hörer ist werkseitig bereits passend zum mitgelieferten Audio Gateway programmiert. Eine
Neuprogrammierung ist daher im allgemeinen nur erforderlich, wenn zwischenzeitlich ein Reset oder eine
Umprogrammierung durchgeführt wurde! (Hinweise dazu im letzten Kapitel).
• Durch einmaliges Drücken des Gesprächsknopfs an Ihrem BluetoothTM Headset können Sie ein
Telefongespräch mit dem drahtlosen Headset übernehmen. Es dauert immer einen kurzen Moment,
bis die Umschaltung stattgefunden hat. Es ertönt bei der Umschaltung eine kurze Melodie.
.
• Stellen Sie die Hörerlautstärke durch Drücken der Lautstärketasten oder des Headsets nach
Ihren Wünschen ein. Die Lautstärketasten sind zusätzlich mit erhabenen Punkten ausgestattet, so
dass sie auch mit den Fingern ertastet werden können (1 erhabener Punkt = leiser, 3 erhabene
Punkte = lauter) Auf die Lautstärke des Mikrofons hat diese Einstellung keinen Einfluss! Das
Mikrofon wird automatisch in weiten Grenzen durch die Lautstärke Ihrer eigenen Sprache und den im
Bluetooth Modul eingebauten digitalen Signalprozessor (DSP) geregelt.
• Vergessen Sie nicht, nach Gesprächsende auch wieder den bisher benutzten Telefonhörer
aufzulegen, sonst bleibt Ihre Leitung belegt, wodurch u.U. weitere Gesprächskosten unnötig
anfallen!
Wichtiger Hinweis zur Funkreichweite:
Der Bluetooth-Hörer hat im Mittel eine Reichweite von ca. 10 m im Umkreis ihres Telefons. Die Reichweite
kann durch die Umgebung stark variieren. In Telefonnähe aufgestellte elektronische Geräte können die
Reichweite stark einschränken, während ein freies Umfeld sie entsprechend vergrössern kann.
Sollte Ihr BluetoothTM Headset einmal ausserhalb der Funkreichweite zum zugehörigen Telefon gelangt sein,
drücken Sie die mittlere Taste an Ihrem Headset, um die Verbindung zum Telefon wiederherzustellen.
Sollte dies alleine nicht helfen, kann es erforderlich sein, das Headset einmal kurz aus- und wieder
einzuschalten, bevor Sie die mittlere Taste am Headset drücken.
Zuordnung des BluetoothTM Headsets zu Audio-Gateway und anderen Geräten
Ihr neues Bluetooth Headset ist prinzipiell in der Lage, mit bis zu ingesamt 3 anderen Geräten mit
BluetoothTM Technologie eine abhörsichere Verbindung aufzunehmen. Sollte das Headset zusätzlich oder
ersatzweise mit anderen Geräten, z.B. einem Handy verbunden werden, dann muss das Headset mit diesem
anderen Gerät erst einmal „verbunden“ werden. Dazu müssen Headset und Partnergerät(e) die Informationen
bekommen, die beide Seiten benötigen, um sich gegenseitig exklusiv als Partnergeräte zu erkennen. Dieser
Vorgang wird als „Pairing“ bezeichnet. Es ist wichtig, denn Sie möchten ja sicher nicht gerne, dass andere
BluetoothTM Geräte in Ihrer Umgebung sich versehentlich mit Ihrem Telefon verbinden oder umgekehrt.

Verbinden von (bis zu 2 zusätzlichen) Mobiltelefonen mit Ihrem BluetoothTM Headset
Bis zu 3 verschiedene Handy’s bzw. BluetoothTM Audio Gateways können mit dem Headset Verbindung
aufnehmen, bei der Sie beliebig zwischen den einzelnen Geräten wechseln können..
Bevor Sie Ihr neues BluetoothTM Headset bei Ihrem Mobiltelefon „anmelden“ können, müssen Sie das
Headset darauf vorbereiten, dass es jetzt mit einem Ihrer Mobiltelefone zusätzlich verbunden werden soll.
Dies geschieht mit einem Headset- Reset und anschliessendem Pairingvorgang
• Schalten Sie dazu das Headset zunächst aus, dann wieder ein.
• Drücken Sie danach 2 der 3 Tasten auf dem Headset zusammen für ca. 1 Sekunde. Merken Sie
sich, welche Tasten Sie gedrückt haben, denn Sie haben noch 2 freie Möglichkeiten mit den
Tasten und oder und (dabei ist die Tastenkombination und im Lieferzustand
für den mitgelieferten Audio-Gateway vorprogrammiert)
• Lassen Sie die Tasten wieder los. Sie hören eine kurze Melodie als Bestätigung.
• Diesen Vorgang wiederholen Sie bitte noch zweimal mit der gleichen Tastenkombination. So
hören Sie die Melodie insgesamt 3 x.
• Schalten Sie nun das Headset am seitlichen Schiebeschalter einmal kurz aus und wieder ein.
Nun ist Ihr BluetoothTM Headset bereit zur Programmierung auf Ihr Mobiltelefon (bzw. das erste
Ihrer zusätzlichen Telefone).
Beim Beispiel eines Handys starten Sie entsprechend der Bedienungsanleitung des Handys das Bluetooth
Menü. Innerhalb des Menüs wird die Umgebung Ihres Telefons nach aktiven BluetoothTM Geräten durchsucht.
Dabei wird Ihr Headset als „ BT 1000 by Albrecht “ erkannt werden. Mobiltelefon und BluetoothTM Headset
tauschen dabei Daten aus, die u.a. auch die individuellen Seriennummern enthalten, damit die Verbindung nur
zwischen diesen beiden Geräten abhörsicher stattfinden kann. Nach der Beglaubigung als Ihr BluetoothTM
Hörer wird auch nach einem PIN Code gefragt. In diesem Falle geben Sie bitte den PIN Code
1234
ein (sollte dem Bluetooth-Hörer eine Karte mit einer anderen PIN beiliegen, verwenden Sie bitte diese!)
Update-Hinweise: Die BluetoothTM Anmeldeprozeduren werden von den Geräteherstellern laufend
überarbeitet. Neue Ausgaben sind auch über die entsprechenden Webseiten zu erfahren. Weitere

Auswählen der Telefone nach dem Pairing
Solange Sie nur 1 Telefon angemeldet haben, oder das zuletzt angemeldete benutzen, bleibt Ihr Headset mit
diesem verbunden. Haben Sie jedoch mehrere Telefone angemeldet, müssen Sie beim Wechsel des
Telefons dieses auswählen. Nach dem Pairingvorgang können Sie jederzeit zwischen den verschiedenen
Telefonen umschalten.
• Drücken Sie die jeweilige Tastenkombination für das gewünschte Telefon, lassen die Tasten los
und hören 1 x die Melodie.
• Schalten Sie dann mit dem Schiebeschalter einmal kurz das Headset aus und wieder ein.
Diesen Vorgang brauchen Sie aber nur bei einem Wechsel des Telefons (z.B. vom Privat-Handy auf das
Firmen-Handy durchzuführen. Danach bleibt Ihr Headset immer so lange mit dem jeweiligen Telefon
gekoppelt, bis sie es wieder wechseln möchten.
Was tun bei möglichen Fehlfunktionen in Verbindung mit dem Audio-Gateway ?
Das Bluetooth Set ermöglicht eine abhörsichere Funkverbindung zwischen Audio-Gateway und Bluetooth-
Hörer. Damit auch nach Stromunterbrechungen die Abhörsicherheit gewährleistet ist, sollten Sie nach einem
evtl. Herausziehen des Stromkabels am Audio-Gateway oder sonst bei einer vermeintlichen Fehlfunktion
immer in folgender Reihenfolge vorgehen:
• Zuerst Audio-Gateway durch Herausziehen des Stromkabels ausschalten
• Danach Bluetooth-Hörer ebenfalls ausschalten
• Audio-Gateway wieder einschalten
• Bluetooth Hörer wieder einschalten
Nach kurzer Wartezeit haben die beiden Geräte wieder zu ihrer abhörsicheren Verbindung zurückgefunden.
Sollte aus nicht erklärlichen Gründen einmal ein Pairingvorgang versagt haben oder keine Verbindung mehr
herstellbar sein, dann kann ein Headset- und Gateway-Reset helfen, die Programmierung des Sets auf den
Lieferzustand zurückzustellen.
Headset-Reset starten
Es ist unbedingt erforderlich, dass Sie sich beim Resetvorgang genau an die im folgenden beschriebene
Reihenfolge der Prozedur halten.
• Beim eingeschalteten Headset die beiden Tasten für das jeweilige Partnergerät zusammen
drücken, loslassen und Melodie abwarten. Für den serienmässig mitgelieferten Audio Gateway
wurden die beiden Lautstärketasten und zur Geräteauswahl voreingestellt (empfohlene
Einstellung). Diesen Vorgang noch zweimal durchführen (die Melodie sollte also insgesamt 3 x

erklungen sein).
• Headset kurz ausschalten und wieder einschalten.
• Das Headset ist jetzt zu einem neuen Pairingvorgang mit einem Audio Gateway bereit.
Gateway-Reset starten
• Zuerst Headset Reset durchführen. Legen Sie das Headset zunächst neben den Audio Gateway.
• Drücken Sie die TEST/PAIRING Taste oben am Audio-Gateway und halten Sie diese etwa 6-8
Sekunden lang gedrückt (in dieser Zeit blinkt auch die Test-Anzeige).
• Lassen Sie die Taste wieder los.
• Ziehen Sie den seitlichen 5 V Stromstecker aus dem Audio-Gateway heraus.
• Warten Sie einen kleinen Moment (ca. 1 sec) und stecken Sie den Stecker wieder ein.
• Stecken Sie das Headset in den Ladeschacht . Die Test-LED wird eine Zeitlang blinken.
• Lassen Sie das Headset im Ladeschacht, bis sie eine Melodie aus dem Headset als Zeichen für
einen erfolgreichen Reset hören.
Nach dieser Prozedur gehören Audio-Gateway und Ihr Bluetooth-Headset wieder als abhörsichere Einheit
zusammen. Sollte das Pairing wieder Erwarten noch nicht erfolgreich gewesen sein, haben Sie vermutlich
einen der Schritte nicht richtig oder in der vorgesehenen Reihenfolge nachvollzogen. Wiederholen Sie dann
bitte die gesamte Prozedur.

Sicherheitshinweis Obwohl die Sendeleistung von BluetoothTM Systemen weit unter (bis
zu Faktor 1000) den Strahlungsleistungen von Mobiltelefonen
(Handys) liegt und allgemein als unbedenklich angesehen wird, sind
in sensiblen Bereichen, wie medizinischen Einrichtungen oder in
Flugzeugen Beeinflusssungen anderer elektronischer Geräte nicht
auszuschliessen. Daher müssen alle Funkanlagen, auch Bluetooth

General information BT 2000
The headset BT 2000 is a comfortably to wear hands-free headset for regular telephones (i.e. office
telephone systems). The new BluetoothTM technology gives you the opportunity for reliable and bug-free
wireless transmission to your existing telephone. The system consists of a headset and an audio gateway
that ensures connection to the presently used telephone handset. This audio gateway can be used as
charging station and as well for storing.

Hardware requirements for existing telephone and safety advice:
Almost all wired telephones with a conventional handset and a plug-in handset cable can be connected.
Today nearly all modern home- and office telephones are equipped with a plug-in receiver cable (4 pin
“Western” sockets). The BT 2000 only replaces the microphone and the earpiece of your telephone handset
so that you can move around within a range of several meters of your work place without any cables. You
can use the BT 2000 at analogue as well as ISDN- or proprietary telephone systems.
The following telephones can not be connected:
• Designer telephones where additional electronic devices (i. e. buttons, displays) are installed in
the handset
• Telephones with carbon, dynamic or piecoceramic microphones (mostly older models) which are
not yet equipped with state-of-the art electret microphones
• Telephones with special handsets
In case of doubt please contact the company that services your telephone system. Please use only
the supplied accessories.Operate the audio gateway only in connection with the specially designed
wall charger, other chargers may damage the set or cause undesired effects on the telephone line.
Never open the headset or try to change or even open the lithium battery by yourself!
Hint: The headset can also be connected with other appliances equipped with Bluetooth™ technology such
as mobile phones and future DECT-telephone systems with Bluetooth™ technology. In this case the audio
gateway will only be used to plug in the headset for charging, the handset cable connectors will remain
unused. Pairing has to be done according to the manuals of the respective manufacturer. Observe the
relevant chapter at the end of this manual.
Connecting the audio-gateway to your existing telephone
• Unplug the cable of the handset you
presently use and insert it in the lateral
socket of the audio gateway (1).
• Plug in one end of the supplied straight
telephone cable in the now free socket of
your hand receiver, the other end plug in the
free socket at the bottom of your audio
gateway. You can lead the cable outside via the
2 slots in the plastic. (2)
• Connect the DC plug of the wall charger with
the socket marked „DC 5V“ at the right side

of your audio-gateway. Plug the wall charger in a 230V socket.
• Insert the Bluetooth™ headset in the audio gate way as shown below. The charging light at the
audio gateway will light up.
• Lift up your telephone handset. You should hear the normal dial tone and be able to use your
telephone (with the original handset) as usual. In case you don´t hear anything, check the newly
plugged-in connections and check out the other positions of the slide switch at the bottom of the
audio gateway. One of the 8 positions will give you your desired signal. Leave the switch in this
position. The switch is needed to cover the variety of wirings of wired telephones of the different
brands. In most cases the preselected position (1) will be the right one.
Charging the BT 2000 in the charging cradle of the audio gateway
Charging starts the moment the headset is being inserted in the audio gateway. It takes approx. 1.5 to 2.5
hours to fully charge a completely empty BT 2000. The left indicator light gives you information of the state
of charging. (Orange = charging, green = battery full). A red light indicates either a defect of the battery or
that the headset is not in the correct position in the audio gateway.
• You can reduce the charging time by switching off the Bluetooth™ headset before charging (in
direction of the arrow).

Important advice to prepare the headset before wearing on your ear
The headset is being delivered folded up. The same position is used for
charging in the charging station or for storing. To wear it on your ear
please turn the microphone arm (1) as indicated downwards. The earhook
(2) is flexible in the main part so that it can be adjusted to the individual
ear shape.
To wear it on your ear fold the earhook (3) backwards for no more than 1 or 2 cm.
The earhook (3) shall be adjusted (4) so that it fits perfectly to your ear. The headset is simply hung up on the
right ear (5). It will fit comfortably, if you adjust the flexible part of the earhook (4, 5) to your ear’s shape.
Hint: Please refrain from folding out the earmount any further than necessary. There should only be enough
space between the headset and your ear to ensure a comfortable position. Under no circumstances should
the earmount be folded like the microphone!
Putting your Bluetooth™ headset into operation
After having charged your headset for a while it is now ready for switching it on for the first time. Push the
slide switch at your headset in the position “ON”.
You now have the choice whether you use your „old“ handheld receiver or your Bluetooth™ headset. For
making a telephone call you still have to always lift up your telephone receiver. Dialling as well will still always
be done with your „old“ telephone. If you want to switch over to your Bluetooth™ headset, place the receiver
next to your telephone.
Accept incoming calls and adjust receiving volume
• By once pressing the talk button at your BluetoothTM headset you can take over a call with your
wireless headset. Switch-over will always take a short moment. During switch-over you will hear a
short melody.

• Adjust the earphone volume by pressing the volume buttons or of the headset according to
your wishes. You may also feel the volume keys with your fingers: The key with one dot reduces the
volume, while the key with 3 dots will increase it. This adjustment will have no effect on the volume
of the microphone! This volume is automatically adjusted by the volume of our own voice and the
integrated DSP (digital signal processor).
• After finishing your call do not forget to put back your handheld receiver, otherwise the line might still
be occupied thus creating unnecessary costs!
Important advice for transmission range:
The Bluetooth™ headset has an averange range of about 10m. This range can be influenced by your
surroundings. Electronic appliances close to your telephone may reduce range whereas a free area may even
increase it.
In case your Bluetooth™ headset has lost connection to your telephone just press the center button at
your headset to reconnect. In case this does not work, just switch your headset off for a short moment and on
again before pressing the center button at your headset.
Programming for use with other audio devices:
According to the international BluetoothTM standards and agreements your headset ist able to establish a
reliable and safe audio transmission to a lot of different devices using the BluetoothTM technology. Yor headset
comes factory programmed („paired“) and ready for use with the individual audio-gateway supplied together
as a set. If you want to connect the headset with other BluetoothTM devices (e.g. mobile phone), you must
complete a new pairing procedure with the new partner device. Your BT 2000 heaset is able to be paired with
up to 3 totally different audio devices, (e.g. audio gateway + 2 different mobile phones).
In such a pairing procedure, headset and partner device must exchange informations and security data,
before they can mutually acknowledge themselves as partner units. The whole procedure, which includes a
reset, is defined as „pairing“. Important: Only paired devices can communicate with each other, there is no
comminication possible with a third device at the same time.
Pairing with up to 2 more devices:
• The first step is to switch the headset off and on again.
• Then select 2 of the 3 keys of the headset and press them together for about 1 second. Keep in mind,
which of the keys you use, because you have up to 3 possible combinations (for up to 3 telephones:
and , or and , (or and ) , one combination for each telephone. Please note that the
headset comes already paired with the BT 2000, and the combination and has already been
used for pairing with Your BT 2000 in the factory!
• Release the buttons. You will hear a short melody as confirmation.
• Repeat this procedure another 2 times with the same keys. So you hear the melody totally 3 x.
• Now switch the headset 1x off and on again (by slide switch) Now your BluetoothTM headset is ready

to be paired with Your mobile phone (or the first of the desired phones or audio gateway(s)).
Pairing on mobile (or other) phone side
On the mobile phone’s side you start the pairing procedure as described in the user manual of your phone.
Within the setup menu your phone will search for active BluetoothTM devices in your communication range.
Your headset will be detected as „BT 1000 by Albrecht“. Mobile phone and BluetoothTM headset will exchange
data, which contain among others also the individual serial numbers of all devices. So it is ensured that a
communication can only start between registered partners. After registration of your BluetoothTM headset You
will be asked for a PIN code. Please use following PIN code:

(if your headset user manual or gift box should contain a card with another PIN code, please use this PIN
code instead of 1234)
You can repeat the pairing procedure with the other remaining 2 key combinations for up to 2 more telephones
(like office phone via BT 2000 audio gateway, company mobile phone or private phone)
Selecting the phones for operation with the headset
As long as you use the just paired phone/headset combination, the headset will stay connected with this
device. Selecting another of the totally 3 possible phones will required that You select between the phones:
• Press the 2 buttons (you had selected for the desired phone) together
• Release the buttons (You will hear the corresponding melody)
• Switch the headset 1 x off and on again
Please remember: You will only need this selecting procedures if You have used the headset with another
device before!
Note: All major mobile phone manufacturers update the BluetoothTM pairing procedures from time to time
together with their software releases. The mobile phone distributors may assist you. Please make sure that
you use their latest instructions only. You may download the instructions from the internet or ask your phone
distributor.

Troubleshooting: if connection to audio gateway should be lost
Under certain circumstances it cannot be excluded totally that current supply interruptions or interferences
may perhaps have influence on the correct functions of the set. In case of a malfunction you may re-establish
the connection by this simple test procedure in exactly the following sequence:
• Switch off the audio-gateway by unplugging the DC power cable from audio-gateway
• Switch off BluetoothTM headset, too
• Insert power cable again into audio-gateway
• Switch on BluetoothTM headset again
After a short moment both units should be paired again together.
If the above described method does not help, a „general reset“ back to the factory default settings may help.
The general reset procedure includes pairing and resetting both partner units (headset and audio-gateway),
otherwise they cannot establish a secure transmission system.
Starting headset reset
Please follow the instructions in exactly the described sequence!
• Switch your headset OFF with power switch (slide switch).
• Switch headset ON again
• Press the two keys and at headset simultaneously at the same time and release them
both. Hold headset during that procesure close to your ears. You will hear s short melody. Repeat
this procedure 2 x. so You make sure that You heard the melody totally 3 x.
• Switch the headset 1 x OFF and ON again at the slide switch (power off-on).
• The headest is now ready for a new pairing. Place the headset close to the audio gateway and
follow the next steps of the gateway reset.
Starting audio gateway reset
• Press and hold the TEST/PAIRING button on top side of the audio-gateway and keep button
pressed for about 6 seconds (during this time the test LED will flash)
• Release button
• Disconnect the 5 V DC power supply plug from the audio-gateway.
• Wait for about 1 second and insert the DC plug again into audio-gateway.
• Place the headset into the charging cradle, wait and observe the test-LED. The LED will flash
(around 30 x) within the next 20-30 seconds until the pairing process will be finished.
• After pairing process is completed, you will hear a melody from the plugged-in headset. Now you
may take out the headset and use it.

After this procedure audio-gateway und BluetoothTM headset are paired again. Privacy of your phone
conversation is ensured by the digital encryption and the BluetoothTM transmission protocol between audio-
gateway and headset. If the pairing process has not been successful, you may have made a mistake or
perhaps you have performed the steps in the wrong sequence. In that case start the procedure once more
again from the beginning.
