INTRODUCTION, USES AND LIMITATIONS
We all have people we want to protect, they could be our children, elderly relatives, lone workers or we will have treasured
possessions such as vehicles and shipments we have to secure. This is an ultra compact, affordable and easy to use solution.
The Alaska Go Everywhere APT-15 is the latest real-time personal tracking and security device using cutting edge GPS/GSM
technology and mapping from Google Earth.
Tracks locations without subscription costs or contract, using a standard UK network SIM card of your choice. The APT-15 uses
GPS (global positioning system) technology to calculate its location/speed, and uses the mobile phone SMS network to send that
location to you. The co-ordinates can then be input via Google Earth on a PC, PDA, internet phone or a SATNAV to show the real
time location. A brand new feature will send a map link to your smartphone enabling you to go directly to a free mapping page on
the internet! The built in geo fencing facility allows the user to identify an imaginary boundary (0-2000m) around a specific area.
Features text alerts to warn of: exceeded speed limit, outside geo fence and low power. In addition, SOS function with two way
emergency call buttons and call/receive is possible via the built in speaker and microphone. Uses a rechargeable and replaceable
Nokia standard BM-6P Li battery. A fixed wire optional accessory (AH-W14P) is available for fixed in car applications.
The APT-15 is a fantastic personal safety solution for lone worker protection, those suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's,
extreme sports enthusiasts, hikers, mountain climbers and children. In fact anyone who cares about their valued possessions or
loved ones!
Important
This product is not to be used for covert surveillance. In all cases, consent should be obtained from any person that is given this
tracking device to carry with them. For example, the unit should only be used by those suffering from early-stage Alzheimer’s when
they are still well enough to give consent.

4. Recharging the tracker
oPlease check and confirm that the adapter model is suitable for this tracker, we recommend using only the USB
charger supplied.
oWarning: this tracker uses 5V DC voltage to recharge, so too high a voltage or AC current may damage the tracker or
even cause accidents.
oUse the supplied car adapter to recharge the tracker. Insert the USB connector into the tracker and car adapter. If
the LED on the adapter is RED, it means it is recharging, if the LED on the adapter is GREEN, this means the
recharging has completed. This will take around 2-4 hours.
oUse the home AC adapter to recharge the tracker. As above, insert the USB connector into the tracker and AC
adapter, If the LED on the adapter is RED, it means it is recharging, if the LED on the adapter is GREEN, it means the
recharging is finished. This will take around 2-4 hours.
oWhen recharging, you can use the tracker as normal, however it will take about 3-4 hours to finish charging and for
the adapter LED will turn to GREEN.
oWhen the battery is low, the LED will flash three times, and send battery low information to the first preset number.
When the battery voltage is very low, the tracker will power off automatically, but when you recharge the tracker, it will
power on automatically.
oTheoretically the battery will last about 5–7 days, however the standby time can be shorter in real life situations.
For example, GPS in continuous operation and/or weak GSM signals can reduce the standby time to 1-2 days.
5. Reverting to default settings
Pull out the battery cover and remove the battery, press the “ON/OFF”button and hold down, insert the battery into the tracker, the
unit will power on, after the LED flashes 10 times and the LED turns on continuously, release the button. The tracker is now back to
its default factory setting, all preset phone numbers and password are deleted and the password is changed to default: 123456.
6. ANTENNA
oThe antenna for both GSM and GPS modules are built in the tracker.
oPlease keep the tracker away from large metal objects which reduce the GSM and GPS signal.
Temperature range
The working temperature is -20 0C to 60 0C, below or above this range the performance of the tracker may affected. The
acceptable storage temperature range is -40 0C to 80 0C.

Installation guide
The antenna for GSM and GPS is built into the tracker. Please note that the install location will affect its ability to receive the signal.
Normally the back seat pockets, arm rest compartment or under the back window are good places. Operation within metal
enclosed areas will yield disappointing results or complete failure. The tracker has a built in high capacity Li-ion battery, one
recharge lasts about 5-7 days. Also, you can connect and recharge the tracker to a 12V car battery or mains using the supplied
adaptors. There is also an optional accessory fixed wire 12v/24v adaptor (AHW-14P) available for permanent connection.
Notes
The tracker has built in GSM and GPS modules, so please power off the tracker in areas that restrict using mobile phones, such
as on the plane, hospital, petrol station etc.
The GPS module needs 10-200 seconds to locate the position. When the GSM signal is weak or the network is very busy, the
SMS maybe delayed by the GSM network, this is normal.
Large metal areas or enclosures can seriously reduce the signal of GPS and GSM and please also keep the unit away from the
magnetic components.

Trouble Shooting
1. The tracker turns off automatically
Please confirm the tracker battery can be used, try to recharge it; and the SIM card has been installed properly.
2. Tracker can not send back information by SMS
Please confirm the SIM card has caller ID display and SMS capability, and the SIM card PIN code is disabled.
3. No response
Please confirm that the tracker has been turned on and the SIM card has enough credit, and that a mobile phone can
work well in the same place using the same network.
4. No response
“*”is used throughout this user manual to indicate information that must be added and should not be used on any
command.
