2 Warranty Check and Visual Inspection
2.1 Warranty confirmation of L1
IMEI sticker check:
1) Power on the handset, go to ”Settings” -> “About phone” -> “Status” -> “IMEI information”
2) Power on the handset, enter *#06# at the dial mode.
3) Remove battery cover, then you will see the IMEI sticker.
Please make sure that the IMEI number in the memory of the product is matching the IMEI on the
IMEI sticker; if not, please consider the product out of warranty.
Humidity sensitive label
If humidity sensitive label is not good, the cell phone will be considered as out of guarantee.
1). Liquid was detected by humidity sensitive label.
2). Position of humidity sensitive sticker.

2.3 Pretest
1) Check that the SIM card and SD card are inserted correctly.
2) Power on the Product.
3) If the product displays “input NCK code”, this means the software is Network locked or SIM
locked, and can only be used with dedicated SIM card hence use the relevant SIM card or enter
the phone code if available.
4) Power on the product to launch the auto test:, or using Smart Diagnosis Tool to proceed with
the test:
a) Using auto test code:
Enter *#2886# at the dial mode, and then you will see the interface displaying the SW
version. Select “Auto” to start the auto test, or select “MANU” to do the MMI test
manually.
If one of the tests failed during “Auto” test mode, it will display “Failed: xxx, Press ‘Next’ to
go on test; Press ‘RETEST’to retest this item; Press ‘END’to Power off.”
For detail instruction of each test item, please refer to <MMI TEST> video
in support (CSS/RSH) website.

Smart Cover (Optional)
Smart cover is a new feature of ELSA6 (5085Y/D/A/B/J/Q/I/N/H), only selection of
“MANU”in MMI test can lead to smart cover test:
Music Cover
I. Connect Music Cover to phone;
II. You will hear piece of record if it functions well;
III. Press “Pass”to continue.
Light Cover
I. Connect Light cover to phone;
II. You will see”Please check RED light”, “Please check BLUE light”, “Please check
GREEN”light in a consecutive way, while the Light cover light the color associated.
And eventually keep Green light;
III. Press “Pass”to continue.
Power Cover
I. Connect Power cover to phone;
II. You will see the information of “Charge Current”, “Charge Voltage”, “Battery

I. It will test automatically and display “FINGER PRINT PASS”if it functions well;
II. Press “Pass”to continue.

3 Software download
The minimum requirements to perform a software download are as follow:
1. Product with Fully charged battery
2. PC with below configurations
CPU: Pentium 1.6 GHz or above;
RAM: 2GB or above;
Operation system: Windows2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7/8/10
USB port
Internet connection with minimum internet speed of 8Mb/s
3. Downloading cable (USB cable)
Please use the dedicated software downloading tool (DL Tool) for this product. The version of this tool
at launched of the product is “Sugar MTK_SP V4.1.8”. Please always use the latest version of the
software downloading tool in order to take advantage of the latest improvements. This DL tool can be
downloaded from support website (CSS/RSH).
Please refer to <instructions of SUGAR Tool> video in support (CSS/RSH) website.

4.3 Disassembly process
The steps of disassembly 5085Y/D/A/B/J/Q/I/N are as below.
Step1: Take off the battery cover by using
plastic flake.

Step2: Take off the 18 screws with
screwdriver.
Set the torques at 1.0kgf.cm for all screws if
use the Torque screw driver.

ASM by using plastic flake.

II. Remove the Main Antenna Support
ASM by using plastic flake.
III. Remove the Furnished Frame by using
plastic flake.
Be careful not
to break here.

IV. Separate the Diversity Antenna
Support ASM, Main Antenna Support
ASM and Furnished Frame from Front
Casing Underfilling Asm.
Step 4: Disconnect several FPCs connector
and coaxial cable with tweezers.

Pry up the main PCBA and remove it from
Front Casing Underfilling Asm.
Pry up the sub PCBA and remove it from
Front Casing Underfilling Asm.
