Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of this IEEE 802.11g AT-WCP200G
Wireless PCI Adapter. This manual helpstoget familiarwith the
AT-WCP200Gadapter. This manualcontains detailed instructions in
operationof this product. Please keep this manual for future reference.
Witha AT-WCP200G adapter, a desktop computer ora station can
communicatewith anothercomputer wirelessly. Easy-to use utilities are
bundled with Wireless PCI Adapter for configuration, monitoring, and
diagnosis purposes.
AT-WCP200Gadapter can wirelesslytransmit andreceive data,
minimizing the need for wired connections. With an AT-WCP200G
adapter,you canlocate yourdesktop or stationwherever youwant
withoutwires and cables.
AT-WCP200Gadapter provides users with an access to real-time
information anywhere in their organization. The mobility provides
productivityand service, which are notavailable underwired networks.
The AT-WCP200G adapter configuration is easyto changefrom peer-to-
peernetworks, suitablefor asmall numberof users,to full infrastructure
networksof thousands ofusers that allow roaming around a broad area.

Thissection provides unpackingand setupinformation forthe
AT-WCP200Gadapter.
Unpacking Open the box of the AT-WCP200G adapter and carefully unpack it. The
boxshould contain the following items:
❑OneAT-WCP200G PCI Adapter
❑OneCD-ROM
❑Thisuser’s guide
Ifany item isfound missingor damaged,please contactyour local
resellerfor replacement.

Hardware Installation
LED LNK/ACT (Link/Activity)
The LNK LED is green when the AT-WCP200G adapter is connected to a
networksuccessfully. Otherwisethe LNK LED blinks continuously while
the AT-WCP200G adapter isscanning the wireless devices or
transmitting data.
Checking the
Installation 1. Shut-down the computer by unplugging the power cord and
remove the chassis cover.
2. Insertthe contact edge of theAT-WCP200G adapterinto the
connector or any available PCI BusMaster Expansionslot.
3. Gently insert the card firmlyinto thePCI slot. Makesure thecard is
securely seated.
4. Secure the card to the chassis with the bracketscrew.
5. Replacethe PC’s cover.
6. Turn the computer ON.
Refer to the next section toinstall theAT-WCP200G driver and
WIRELESS LAN utility.

Software Installation
Installing the
AT-WCP200G
Driver
For Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
1. VerifythattheAT-WCP200GadapterissecurelyinsertedintothePCI
slotandtheWIRELESSLANCDisintheCD-ROMdrive.Theoperating
system will detect the AT-WCP200Gadapter and the following
window will appear.
2. Select Install the software automatically (Recommended) and
then Next.

The installation process will scan the CD and prompt you to select
theappropriatedriverfortheoperatingsystem.Forexample,select
\driver\AT-WCP200G\Windows XP foran XPoperating
system.
3. Select Next.

The following screen will be displayed.
The AT-WCP200G drivers are not Microsoft WHQL certified,
thereforethe below message will appear.
This is a generic Windows message indicating that the inserted
device has not completed the WHQL certification tests.
4. Select Continued Anyway.
