Thismanualprovides

necessarytooperatetheSchucoModelS6000
50PSICompressor.This
unit
isdesignedforefficient,continuoushighpressure
performance.TheModelS6000Compressorprovideshighpressure,whichclinical
studieshaveIndicatedarerequiredforoptimalparticlesize(2micronsorless)during
nebulizationtreatments.
The
unit
operatesquietlyandeffectivelyduetotheuniquedesign
ofthe
WOBLpiston.
This
unit
operatesusingstandard120VACcurrent,ItIseasytoclean,verylow
maintenance,compact,
light-weight,
andportable.The
unit

INSTALLATION
1.Selecta suitablelocationforthe
unit
neara120VAC,
15Ampere,
poweroutlet.
2.
Grasphandleontopofcabinetandpositionthe
unit
so
that
operatingcontrolsare
Accessible
totheuserandbackof
unit
isatleast6 inchesawayfromwall.
3.
IVIakecertain
that
thepowerswitchlocatedinthecenterofthecontrolpanelisinthe
OFF
position(Figure1)andplugpowercord
into
groundedpower
outlet
orgrounded
adapter.
4.
Ifdesired,attachtheL BrackettotheCompressedAirOutletasshowninFigure1 to
enabletheuseofa humidifierbottle.TheL Bracketislocatedinsidetheremovable
protectivecoverofthecompressor.
5.
Becertain
that
allconnectionsto
outlet
(i.e.tubing,nebulizers,etc.)aresnugandnot
leakingaerosol.
6.Whenusedinconjunction
with
misttents,etc.,placethe
unit
outsideofthe
tent
and
positionthe
unit
ata levelbelowthedischargeendofthedeliverytubing.
OPERATION
1.
Press
thePowerOn/OffswitchtoONposition
(figure
1).
2.
Connecttheequipmentyouintendtouse
with
theSchucoIVIodelS6000compressor
andthenadjustthepressure
that
the
unit
isdeliveringbyadjustingtheregulator
(figure
1)
as
follows:
a.
Pullregulatorknobouttounlocktheregulatorpressureadjustmentknob.
b.Turnthedialofregulatortothedesired
pressure,
-clockwise
toincreasepressure
-counter-clockwise
todecreasepressure
c.
Push
theknobtowardsthe
unit
tolocktheregulatorpressureadjustmentknob.
d.
Observethepressuregauge- repeatstepsa throughc abovetoadjustupordown
todesired
output
pressure.
