Safety
Ensure that you have read and understood:
• all thesafety guidelines.
• all theexplanations as to how thecompressorworks.
• all theinstructions as to how to use it in asafe manner.
• all theinstructions concerning care, maintenance and storage.
1. Keep thework areatidy.
- Cluttered and disorganised work areas pose anaccidentrisk.
2. Thework environment.
- Do not expose theproduct torain.
- Do not use theproduct in damp or wetareas.
- Make sure that thework area is well illuminated.
- Do not use theproduct in areas where combustible gases or liquids are stored orused.
3. Guard against electric shocks.
- Avoid physical contact with earthed objects such as water pipes, radiators and cookers.
4. Keep other people at asafe distance.
- Never permit persons, especially children, not involved in thework to touch theproduct or
its power supply cables. Keepunauthorised persons away from theworkarea.
5. Storing theproduct.
- Products that are not in use should be kept locked away in adry place out of children’sreach.
6. Do not overload theproduct.
- Thework will be performed better and more safely if theproduct is not overloaded.
7. Wear suitable clothing.
- Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery; they could be caught in movingparts.
- Wear non-slip footwear when working outdoors.
- Wear ahairnet or similar if you have longhair.
8. Use personal protective equipment.
- Wear eye protection.
- Wear arespirator or dust mask if theoperation will generate agreat deal ofdust.

9. Make sure that themains lead is not damaged.
- Do not pull or tug themains lead when unplugging theproduct, grip and pull theplug
itself. Keepthemains lead away from heat, oil and sharpedges.
10. Take good care of theproduct.
- Make sure that theproduct is clean and free from contaminants.
- Follow all guidelines concerning care, maintenance and storage.
- Check theproduct’s mains lead regularly. Ifthemains lead is damaged in any way, it must
be replaced by aqualified electrician.
- Inspect any extension leads regularly. Replace cables if they are damaged in anyway.
- Keep thehandles dry, clean and free of oil and grease.
11. Always disconnect theproduct from themains.
- Disconnect theproduct from themains whenever it is not in use, before service and
maintenance and whenever switching accessories.
12. Avoid unintentional starting.
- Make sure that thepower switch is set to OFF before connecting theproduct to themains.
13. Use theright kind of extensionlead.
- If you use theproduct outdoors, only use extension cables, which are clearly labelled as
designed for outdooruse.
14. Remain attentive.
- Pay attention to what you aredoing. Useyour common sense and never operate
theproduct when tired, sick or under theinfluence of medicine, alcoholor narcotics.
15. Check that theproduct is undamaged.
- Before using theproduct, make sure that it functions normally as described in this
instruction manual.
- Make sure that any moving parts are intact, properly fitted and rotate freely.
- Damaged safety devices must be replaced by authorised service personnel unless
otherwise specified in this instruction manual.
- Damaged switches must be replaced by aqualified electrician.
- Never use theproduct if it cannot be switched on and off using its power switch.
16. Do not use any accessories other than those mentioned in this instruction manual
or recommended by themanufacturer or retailer. Riskofpersonal injury.
17. Have theproduct repaired by qualified service personnel.
- This product conforms to relevant safety regulations. Repairs must only be carried out by
qualified service personnel and only using original spareparts. Failure to do so could lead
to serious personal injury.
18. Protect yourself from high noise levels.
- Use ear defenders when using thecompressor.
19. Damage to themains lead orplug.
- If themains lead is damaged in any way, it must be replaced by aqualified electrician.

Risk of explosion
• Never use thecompressor in areas where flammable liquids/materials or gases (petrol, solvents,
gas cylinders,etc.) are stored orused.
• Never use theplug to turn thecompressor on or off, always use thepower switch.
• Make sure that themains lead does not come into contact with heat, oil, or sharpedges.
• Never move thecompressor around by pulling themains lead or airhoses. Thecompressor
must only be moved using thehandle.
• Make sure that any air hoses and pneumatic tools connected to thecompressor are rated to
withstand thepressure generated by thecompressor and that they are connected correctly.
• Thecompressor is only intended for use in well-ventilated areas in temperatures between 5–40 °C.
• Never expose thecompressor to water or other liquids.
Risk of personal injury
• Make sure that all air hoses are intact and dimensioned for thecapacity of thecompressor.
• Never attempt to repair damaged air hoses, always replacethem.
• Never point theair hose nozzle or attached tools at other people orpets.
• Never use compressed air to clean work wear worn by you or anyoneelse.
• Never insert fingers or foreign objects into thehousing of thecompressor.
Dangerous voltage
• Thecompressor must only be connected to anearthed 230 V, 50/60 Hz mains outlet protected
by a30 mA residual current device (RCD).
• Always connect theplug to aneasily accessible mains outlet so that it can quickly be unplugged
should afaultoccur.
Risk ofburns
• Certain parts of thecompressor can become hot duringuse. Touchonly thehandle and
thepower switch when using thecompressor.

Risk of damage to property
• Place thecompressor on aneasily accessible, dry, firm and level surface. Donot place
thecompressor on thevery edge of asurface.
• Make sure that thecompressor is sufficiently ventilated. Placeit at least 1m from nearby surfaces.
• Place thecompressor so that it cannot move while beingused.
• Always place thecompressor on its own feet when beingused.
• Never place thecompressor on or near hot surfaces.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of theappliance in asafe way and
understand thehazards involved.
• Children shall not play with theappliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Product description
Thecompressor is oil-free, which means that it is intended for intermittent operation.
Thismeans that is must only be used to drive smaller pneumatic tools, such as nail guns, to
inflate smaller items, such as footballs, or to drive apaint sprayer, such as anairbrush. Itis
not intended to inflate large objects, such as pools and large air mattresses, where it needs to
operate for along time (over 120 seconds).

Instructions for use
Bear in mind that theair compressor is meant for intermittent operation.
Refer to theProduct description section.
1. Make sure that theon/off switch (4) is set to OFF [0].
2. Plug themains lead into anearthed wall socket.
3. Connect theair hose and thetool of your choice to theair outlet (1).
4. Set theon/off switch to ON [I] to start thecompressor.
Never switch off thecompressor by pulling out theplug or using theisolator switch (if fitted).
Always use theON/OFF button on thecompressor.
Connecting/Changing tools
Bleeding
A) Thepressure gauge displays thepressure in bar,
kPa, psi and kg/cm2.
B) Thepressure release valve is used to decrease
theair pressure in theobject.
C) Thetrigger lever is used to increase theair
pressure in theobject.
Connect thetyre inflator gun or other air tool to
thequick-connector on theair hose.
Pull thequick-connector away from thetool
to disconnect thetool from theair hose.

Care and maintenance
• Make sure that theon/off switch (4) is set to OFF [0]. Unplug themains lead from thewall socket.
• Let thecompressor cool before cleaning it.
• Clean thecompressor by wiping it with adamp cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents, never
solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Check thesafety valve regularly by pulling thespring-loaded ring. If thesafety valve is
working properly (and thepressure vessel is under pressure) air should seep out through
thesafety valve.
Unplug thecompressor from theelectrical outlet if it is not to be used for anextended period.
Disconnect all theconnected accessories and place themains lead in theholder (3).

Troubleshooting guide
Thecompressor does
not start does not turn off
during use.
• Is theplug securely connected to thewall socket?
• Is thewall socket energised?
• Is theambient temperature too low? Thecompressor must not
be used at temperatures below +5 °C.
• Theoverheating protection has tripped because themotor
became too hot. Let thecompressor cool before attempting to
use it again.
Thecompressor runs but
no pressure builds up.
• Check all accessory and hose connections for leaks.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed of with general
household waste. This applies throughout theentire EU. In order to prevent
any harm to theenvironment or health hazards caused by incorrect waste
disposal, theproduct must be handed in for recycling so that thematerial can
be disposed of in aresponsible manner. When recycling your product, take it to
your local collection facility or contact theplace of purchase. They will ensure that
