Anti-Theft Clamp
(Kit Part No. 6.1000446)
KIT CONTENTS
1. GENERAL
The Anti-Theft Clamp is designed to permanently fix the boiler to the wall. This prevents the boiler from being stolen
or removed from the wall.
The clamp is fitted to the boiler after it has been hung on the wall, but it is recommended that the hole for the security
bolt is drilled into the wall before the boiler is lifted into position on the wall mounting bracket.
2. INSTALLATION
Note: These instructions must be read in conjunction with
the Installation instructions supplied with the boiler.
a. Remove the wall template from the boiler carton and
tape it to the wall in the required position (ensure it is
level and the right way up). Mark the positions of all
the required fixings, flue etc.
Mark the hole for the security bolt in the position
shown in Fig. 1, (this is not marked on the template).
b. Drill a 12 mm hole to a depth of 65 mm in the position
previously marked for the security bolt fixing hole.
Remove the shear nut from the bolt and position the
bolt in the fixing hole.

c. When the boiler has been hung in position on the wall
and the remainder of the installation completed, i.e.
flue, all pipework tested and commissioned etc,
position the anti-theft clamp over the boiler back plate
and over the security bolt as shown in Fig. 2.

d. Fit the shear nut to the bolt and gradually tighten until
it retains the clamp to the wall, see Fig. 3, continue to
tighten until the nut shears off the cone.
Notes: i. Access to the shear nut is from the front
of the boiler, see Fig. 4, using a 19 mm
socket.
ii. Do not tighten the shear nut until the
whole system has been completed, as
once the bolt is fitted, the boiler can only
be removed by drilling out the bolt with a
hardened drill until the cone falls away.
e. Before leaving site, stick the warning label supplied
to the outer casing of the boiler.
