GENERAL PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Altec Lansing’s 6125A 6-channel power amplifier is a
professional, high quality solution for your permanent install
needs. The 6125A features six highly efficient, independent,
high-speed switched MosFet power amplifiers in one compact
package.
Each input has a Euroblock connector located on the back panel.
Detented attenuators on the back panel offer added security as
well as repeatable settings. System integrators and consultants
will appreciate the Euroblock input connectors. Euroblock
connectors allow bare wire to be easily connected to the
amplifier without expensive connectors and soldering. All
channel inputs are electronically balanced. For low frequency
protection, each pair of inputs has a selectable 12dB/octave
high-pass filter at 50Hz. Mono/Stereo and Dual/Bridge select
switches are safely out of sight on the back panel.
Individual channel LED’s are on the front panel for Protect,
Thermal Overload, Clip, and Signal Presence. The AC power
switch is also on the front panel.
Each channel can deliver 150W into 8 ohms, 250W into 4 ohms,
and channels 1-2 or 3-4 or 5-6 can be bridged into 8 ohms to
deliver 500W. The 6125A outputs are stable into complex loads,
including pure capacitors and inductors, and can easily drive
loads involving 25, 50, 70.7 or 100V transformers.
Cooling is of paramount importance to a professional power
amplifier. The 6125A has a temperature sensitive 3-speed fan
that draws air from the front and exits out the back. An internal
120VAC power supply is fused at 12A and can be selected for
220VAC. Use an 10A fuse for 220VAC operation.
Altec Lansing’s 6125A multi-channel power amplifier delivers six
channels of 250W stable audio power. The 6125A can satisfy
your most demanding applications. It can drive 70V
transformers, floor monitors, and mains speakers, all at the same
time.
