1. Precautions and Safety Warnings
Please read this manual arefully before using your DA1226AT Distribution
Amplifier. Keep this manual handy for future referen e. These safety
instru tions are to ensure the long life of your DA1226AT and to prevent fire
and sho k hazard. Please read them arefully and heed all warnings.
1.1 General
•Unauthorized personnel shall not open the unit sin e there are high-
voltage omponents inside.
•Qualified ALTINEX servi e personnel or their authorized
representatives must perform all servi e.
1.2 Handling
•Pla e the DA1226AT on a flat, level surfa e in a dry area away from
dust and moisture.
•To prevent fire or sho k, do not expose this unit to water or moisture.
Do not pla e the DA1226AT in dire t sunlight, near heaters or
heat-radiating applian es, or near any liquid. Exposure to dire t
sunlight, smoke, or steam an harm internal omponents.
•Handle the DA1226AT arefully. Dropping or jarring an damage
internal omponents.
•Do not pla e heavy obje ts on top of the DA1226AT. If the DA1226AT
is mounted to a table or wall, use only ALTINEX made mounting
a essories (Ra k Mount Ears DA1292FC) and ables.
•To turn off the main power, be sure to remove the ord from power
outlet. The power outlet so ket should be installed as near to the
equipment as possible, and should be easily a essible.
•Do not pull power ord or any able that is atta hed to the DA1226AT.
•If the DA1226AT is not used for an extended period of time, dis onne t
the power ord from the power outlet.
1.3 Cleaning
•Unplug the DA1226AT power ord before leaning. Clean surfa es with
a dry loth. Never use strong detergents or solvents, su h as al ohol or
thinner. Do not use a wet loth or water to lean the unit.
1.4 FCC Notice
•This devi e omplies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is
subje t to the following two onditions: (1) This devi e may not ause
harmful interferen e, and (2) this devi e must a ept any interferen e
re eived, in luding interferen e that may ause undesired operation.
•This equipment has been tested and found to omply with the limits for
a Class A digital devi e, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These
limits are designed to provide reasonable prote tion against harmful
interferen e when the equipment is operated in a ommer ial
environment. This equipment generates, uses, and an radiate radio
frequen y energy and, if not installed and used in a ordan e with the
instru tions found herein, may ause harmful interferen e to radio
ommuni ations. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is
likely to ause harmful interferen e in whi h ase the user will be
required to orre t the interferen e at his own expense.
•Any hanges or modifi ations to the unit not expressly approved by
ALTINEX, In . ould void the user’s authority to operate the
equipment.
2. Installation Procedures
Step 1. Please atta h the Interfa e on the ra k or table using the optional hardware.
Step 2. The DA1226AT may be used with either 110V or 220V and offers a universal IEC onne tor for ease of use throughout the world. Before plugging in
the power ord to the unit, please verify that the voltage rating of 110V/220V on the Fuse Clip lo ated at the rear of the unit is the same as the voltage
rating on the power outlet. To hange setting, unplug the power ord from the DA1226AT and squeeze the lips on either side of the fuse box. Then
turn the Fuse Dip 180 degrees, repositioning it in the lip so that the voltage is visible through the window. Please reinsert the fuse box, and push it in
until the side lips of the fuse box li k and lo k se urely into pla e.
Step 3. Then onne t the appropriate power ord for your ountry into the power input so ket of the DA1226AT gently, but firmly. The power indi ator
light on the front panel of the DA1226AT should turn on.
Step 4. Conne t the video output of the sour e of the ( omputer or other high-resolution sour e) to input of the DA1226AT using a high quality of oaxial-
type ables. If the sour e offers a VGA-type 15-pin HD onne tor, use a HD 15 to 5-BNC made for the MS8102CA or the MS8112CA.
NOTE: An interfa e may be needed to provide the appropriate signal format type for the DA1226AT or to use a lo al monitor if needed.
Step 5. Conne t the output hannels of the amplifier to the display devi es (monitors and/or proje tors.) using a good quality of oaxial ables.
Step 6. Confirm pi ture quality on all displays. If you are not re eiving a signal, make sure that the display is ompatible with the resolution of the omputer
graphi s ard. If the pi ture quality is less than perfe t, he k to make sure that all onne tions are solid and use a high-quality able.

5. About Your DA1226AT
The DA1226AT is a 1-In 6-Out RGBHV distribution amplifier designed to allow the onne tion of a single omputer video or interfa e sour e to as many as six
monitors or proje tors apable of handling the sour e resolution.
The DA1226AT offers ex ellent bandwidth performan e (minimum 350 MHz) and a typi al bandwidth of nearly 450 MHz, allowing it to remain virtually
transparent to high-resolution signals.
Though primarily designed to pass an RGBHV signal format, the DA1226AT an also pass RGBS, RGsB, omponent video (Y, R-Y, B-Y), S-Video (Y/C), and
omposite video by using the appropriate hannels. The DA1226AT outputs the same syn level as it re eives on its input.
The DA1226AT offers a low-profile design, whi h helps to prevent tilting due to able drag when used in desktop appli ations. The DA1226AT uses an internal
90-140/200-240V swit hable power supply. It may be ra k-mounted using optional hardware.

7. Operation
The DA1226AT will operate su essfully as long as ables are atta hed
orre tly and other te hni al spe ifi ations are followed. There are no
other adjustments ne essary to operate the unit.
8. Troubleshooting Guide
We have arefully tested and have found no problems in the supplied
DA1226AT. However, we would like to offer suggestions for the following:
•Please make sure that the input amplitude of the analog signal is less
than 1.5Vp-p.
•Please make sure that syn levels at the TTL level are between
1.4 and 5 Vp-p.
•Please make sure that the highest quality of ables is used. We
re ommend ALTINEX made ables for best results.
•If a problem arises after ontinuous usage at a higher voltage, higher
temperature, higher humidity, or at other extreme environmental
onditions, please orre t the problem.
NOTE: The syn pulse voltage must be at least 1.4 V for proper
operation of the distribution amplifier. If lover voltage is
used, onta t ALTINEX for additional information.
•If there is no image on the display, make sure that the sour e has a
ompatible refresh rate and resolution with the display by a dire t
onne tor of the sour e and display.
•If the image quality is poor, then he k the input of the able so that
the sour e is apable of driving signals to the DA1226AT through the
length of the able.
•If you are using a HD-15 to 5-BNC able to onne t a omputer
dire tly to the DA1226AT and do not see the pi ture or display use an
interfa e to make the video signal ompatible to display.
