Caution
To avoidpropertydamage,protect soft vinyl or
otherflooring with cardboard, rugs, or other
protectivematerial whenmovingrefrigerator.
Verifystabilizingleg is raised before moving
refrigerator. Raise stabilizing leg by turning
counterclockwise.
g. Slideappliancecartundersideofrefrigerator.Wrap
refrigeratorwith blanket orpad. Thread cart strap
aroundrefrigerator and tighten. Do not overtighten
strap.Moverefrigeratorinfrontoffinallocation.
h. Reversedoorsif necessary.
Installation Instructions
Properinstallation will ensure that this refrigerator
operatesmostefficiently.Amanacannotberesponsible
for improper installation.
1. Remove and reverse doors if necessary.
a. Removetop hingecover.Remove tophinge.
b. Removefreezer door.
c. Liftdoorclosureoff center hinge pin. Remove center
hingepin.
d. Removerefrigerator door.
e. Removecenterhinge bracket.
f. Removetoegrilleandbottomhingecover.Remove
bottom hinge.
2. Connect ice maker water supply line.
•See instructions on rear of refrigerator cabinet.
3. Plug in power cord.
4. Move refrigerator into final location.
5. Level refrigerator.
a. Removetoegrille.Remove bottom hingecoverif
refrigeratorhas a stabilizing leg.
b. Turnroller adjustment screw to raiseorlower
refrigeratorcabinet.Frontofrefrigeratormustbe
1/4" (6 mm) higher than back.
c. Turnstabilizingleg(somemodels)clockwiseuntil
firmlyagainstfloor.
6. Review “Installation Checklist” in
Owner’s Manual with consumer.
i. Rehang doors by reversing steps a-f.
•Use a penny at top to space door 3/4" (18 mm)
from cabinet.
•Handleside of doorshould be approximately 1/8"
(3mm) higher than hingeside.

This checklist is for personal records only.
Consumer Installer Doors
Handles are solidly attached to doors.
Handle side of door is 1/8" (3 mm) higher than hinge side. (Door lowers when
loadedwithfood.)
Doorssealcompletelytorefrigerator cabinet.
Leveling
Refrigeratoristilted1/4"(6mm)fromfront to rear.
Toegrille is properly attached to refrigerator.
Ice Maker
Watersupply to refrigerator is turned on.
Water leaks are not present at connection between household water supply and
refrigerator. (After24 hours, consumer shouldcheck connection for water leaks.)
Ice maker arm is in on position for ice production. (It may take up to 24 hours for
firstharvestof ice.)

Controls
Thisrefrigeratoroperates at household temperatures of
55° to 110°F(13°to 43°C).
Fresh Food and Deepfreeze®Controls
Fresh Food and Deepfreeze®controls are located on
centerdividerbetween FreshFoodandDeepfreeze®
sections.
When Deepfreeze®controlis set to OFF, neither Fresh
Food nor Deepfreeze®sections will cool. Initially, set both
controls to 4. Wait 24 hours for Fresh Food and
Deepfreeze®sections to reach desired temperatures.
After 24 hours, adjust controls, one number at a time, as
desired. 1 is warmest setting and 7 is coldest. Exterior Moisture Control
ExteriorMoisture Control islocated on center divider
betweenFresh Food and Deepfreeze®sections.
Inhumid conditions, refrigerators formcondensation
arounddoors.Specialheatersinrefrigeratorcabinet
minimizecondensation.
Humiditydependsonlocation of refrigerator. Set control to
ONif refrigerator is ina humid area orwhenever moisture
is evident around doors. Set control to OFF if refrigerator
is in a less humid area. Setting can be adjusted as
conditionschange.
High quality steel is used in this refrigerator. However,
constant exposure to moisture may cause refrigerator
cabinet to rust. Set control to ON anytime condensation
formsonrefrigerator cabinet.
Setting Controls
Setcontrols precisely witha household thermometer that
includestemperatures between -5° to50°F
(-21°to10°C).
Put thermometer snugly between frozen packages in
Deepfreeze®section.Wait5-8 hours. If Deepfreeze®
temperature is not 0° to 2°F (-17° to -16°C), adjust
control, 1 number at a time. Check again after 5-8 hours.
Putthermometer in aglass of waterin middle ofFresh
Foodsection. Wait 5-8 hours. IfFresh Food temperature
is not 38° to 40°F (3° to 4°C), adjust control, 1 number at
atime. Check again after 5-8 hours.

Fresh Food Shelves
Modelsfeature either glassor wire shelves. Shelves
adjustto meet individualstorage needs. Some models
featureSpillsaver™shelves. Spillsaver™shelveshold
simple spills for easier cleaning.
Caution
To avoidpersonal injury or property
damage,handletemperedglassshelves
carefully.Shelvesmay breaksuddenlyif
nicked, scratched, or exposed to sudden
temperature change.
•Remove shelves by lifting front, releasing hooks
frommetaltrackthen pulling out.
•Replace shelves by inserting hooks into metal track
andloweringfront.
EasyGlide™shelvespull forward for easy accessof items
in back. (some models)
Chiller Fresh™System (Some models)
Chiller Fresh™system features a drawer inside a sleeve.
Air circulates between drawer and sleeve. This systems
keepsfood fresh longerand up to5°F (3°C) colderthan
FreshFoodtemperature.
Chiller Fresh™controlis located belowfront shelf trim.
Controladjustsamountofaircirculatingarounddrawer.
Slide control to coldfor normal Fresh Foodtemperature
and to coldest for colder temperature. Ice crystals may
form on drawer or food on coldest setting. Cold air can
decreaseFreshFood temperature. Fresh Food control
may need to be adjusted.
•Removedrawerby liftingandpullingout. Remove
shelfby lifting front,releasing hooks frommetal track
then pulling out.
•Replace shelf by inserting hooks into metal track and
loweringfront. Use slots1 through 3only. Replace
drawer by sliding in.
WhenmovingChiller Fresh™system left orright, move
control, located on center back wall of Fresh Food
section, to same side as system.

Garden Fresh™Crispers (Some models)
Garden Fresh™crisperskeep produce fresh longer. Wrap
producetightly.Donotwashproducebeforeplacingin
crispers. Excess moisture could cause produce to spoil
prematurely. Do not line crispers with paper towels. Paper
towels will retain moisture.
Garden Fresh™controlis located belowfront shelf trim.
Control adjusts humidity in crispers. Slide control to high
for produce with leaves such as lettuce, spinach or
cabbage. Slide control to low for produce with skins such
ascauliflower,cornortomatoes.
Removeshelfandcrispers by completingthefollowing
steps.
1. Openleft* crisper. *Fordoors hinged onleft, open
right crisper.
Caution
To avoid personal injury or property damage,
handletemperedglassshelvescarefully.
Shelvesmaybreaksuddenlyif nicked,
scratched, or exposed to sudden temperature
change.
2. Removeshelfbygently pushing upfromunderneath.
Tilt one end up then pull out.
3. Removeleft* crisper by lifting frontwhilesupporting
underneaththen pulling out. *For doorshinged on left,
removeright crisper.
4. Removesupport post atrecess in bottomcenter of
Fresh Food section.
5. Removeother crisper bysliding to oppositewall. Lift
frontwhilesupportingunderneaththenpullout.
6. Replacecrispers and shelfby reversing steps 1-5.
Covered Storage Bucket (Some models)
Storagebucket has a lidand removable egg tray. When
tray is removed, bucket will accept items such as a
standard egg carton, ice, etc.
Dairy Center (Some models)
Dairycenterprovidesconvenientstorageforitemssuch
as butter, cheese, etc.
•Removedairy center bylifting door, pushing tabs
toward center and pulling out.
•Replace dairy center by sliding in until tabs lock into
placeandlowering door.

Door Buckets
Door buckets adjust to meet individual storage needs.
•Remove door buckets by pushing tabs toward center
and pulling out.
•Replace door buckets by sliding in until tabs lock
intoplace.

Deepfreeze®Features
Caution
Toavoidproperty damage,confirmshelf

Automatic Ice Maker (Some models)
•Confirm ice bucket is in place and ice maker arm is
down.
•After Deepfreeze®sectionreachesnormal
temperature, ice maker fills with water and begins
operating.Allow24-48 hours after installation before
firstharvest of ice.Ice maker produces7 to 9harvests
ofice in a 24-hour periodunder ideal conditions.
•After ice is formed, ice maker drops ice cubes into
ice storage bucket. During ice production, ice maker
arm raises and lowers. When ice storage bucket is
full,ice maker armturns ice makeroff. Discard first3
harvestsoficeafterinitiallyconnecting refrigerator to
householdwatersupplyandafterextended periods of
non-use.
•Stop ice production by raising ice maker arm. A
definite click is heard when proper position is
reached.Ice maker arm will remainin that position
until pushed down.
Caution
To avoiddamagetoice maker, observe the
following:
•Do not force ice maker arm down or up,
past stop position.
•Do not place or store anything in ice
storage bucket.
3. Replaceice service rackby lining upmounting holes
with screws. Slide rack back until secure.
Ice Service Rack (Some models)
Ice service rack provides easy access of ice cube trays
and ice bucket.
Moveiceservicerack by completing the following steps.
1. Removeice service rackby sliding rackforward until
screwsare in middleof mounting holesthen pulling
out.
2. Removescrews.Remove plugs from opposite side.
Replace plugs with screws and screws with plugs.

•Removewireshelfbytilting one end up and
pulling out.
•Replacewire shelf bytilting one endup and placing
endon ledge. Tiltother end downand place onledge.
Tall Package Retainer (Some models)
Tall package retainer keeps tall items secure. Retainer
fits in any door bucket or door shelf.
