BAKING
When cooking on the BAKE function, only the
BOTTOM heating element is turned on.
This oven bakes using convection only. It is not
necessary to alter the baking time or temperature
from those given for a recipe or package directions.
Insert the wire rack into the desired rack position.
Turn the temperature knob to the desired
temperature.
Turn the function knob to BAKE.
Turn the timer control knob past 20 and then turn
it to the desired baking time (up to 60 min).
Remember to add 10 minutes for the oven to
preheat.
If the baking time is 60 minutes or longer: Turn
the timer to 20 then back to 10 to preheat. Once
timer sounds for preheating, turn the timer up to
60. After the timer sounds for 60 minutes, reset
timer for the remaining cook time.
The power indicator light will come on while the
timer is in use.
The heating elements may cycle on and off to
maintain even heat distribution.
Once the oven has preheated, open the oven door
using oven mitts or potholders, insert food & close
the oven door.
3 Baking Choices: Baking Pan, Wire Shelf, or Wire
Shelf on Baking Pan.
PLEASE NOTE: When using wire shelf on baking
pan, make sure food does not extend beyond the
bake pan so dripping does not hit the heating
elements
You may use a metal, oven proof glass, or ceramic
baking dish on the wire rack in any of the rack positions.
PLEASE NOTE: The food should not come within ½ inch of the top heating
elements.
It is recommended you follow the recipe or package directions and check for
doneness at the minimum suggested cooking time. If it is not done then reset
the timer for a few more minutes and check again. Repeat until the item is
done.
Open the door with oven mitts or potholders and using them or the shelf
handle, slide the wire shelf out and carefully remove the food from the oven

TOASTING
When cooking on the TOAST function, BOTH heating elements are turned on.
It is not necessary to preheat the oven to toast but you may have more
consistent results if you do.
Open the oven door and slide wire rack into the middle position and place up
to 4 slices of bread (depending on the size of the bread) on the wire rack. The
crumb tray should be in position under the heating elements.
Turn the temperature knob to 450°F.
Turn the function knob to TOAST. Turn the timer control knob past 20 then
back to 10 min. and watch for desired doneness. If you do not preheat the
oven, the first toasting cycle may take a little longer.
The power indicator light will come on while the time is in use.
When the toast reaches the desired color, turn the timer to OFF and using
oven mitts or potholders, open the oven door. Slide the wire rack out with the
shelf handle, oven mitts or potholders.
Carefully remove the toast and repeat if desired for more toast. For best
results allow a short cool down time between toasting cycles.
ROTISSERIE
When cooking on the ROTISSERIE function, only the TOP heating element is
turned on.
Do NOT preheat the oven. Slide the baking pan into the lowest rack position.
Tie the chicken or large pieces of meat tightly with cotton string to prevent the
meat from hitting the baking pan. You may check the internet for instructions
on how to truss a chicken for rotisserie.
Remove the prongs from the skewer by loosening the wing nut and sliding the
prongs off the skewer.
Insert the rotisserie skewer lengthwise into the center of the meat. Insert the
prongs onto either end of the skewer. Make sure the meat is centered on the
skewer, insert the prongs into the meat securely and tighten the wing nuts.
Insert the pointed end of the skewer into the square hold in the oven on the
right side. You can do this manually or using the rotisserie handle.

Insert the square end of the skewer into the rotisserie anchor bracket on the
left side of the oven.
Turn the temperature knob to 350°F and the function knob to BROIL (Only the
top heating element will be on.)
Turn the timer control knob past 20 and then turn it to the desired cook time.
To remove the cooked meat from the oven, turn the temperature control knob
to 150°F and the function & timer knobs to OFF. Open the oven door and
place the ends of the rotisserie handle under the indented areas on the
skewer. Carefully lift the left side of the skewer out of the anchor bracket and
slowly swing the end out towards the door until the right side of the skewer
comes free from the square hole in the oven. You can also do the above
manually using oven mitts that completely cover your hands.
Place meat on a clean surface to cool slightly. Using oven mitts, unscrew the
wing nuts and remove them from the skewer. Keep oven mitts on to remove
the skewer and slide the meat onto a cutting surface or serving tray before
carving.
BROILING
When cooking on the BROIL function, only the TOP heating element is turned
on.
For best results, preheat oven with the door closed at 450°F for at least 5
minutes before broiling.
The oven is designed to broil with the oven door slightly ajar.
Turn the temperature knob to the desired temperature between 350°F and
450°F as desired for the optimum broiling temperature for the specific food.
Turn the function knob to BROIL. Turn the timer control knob past 20 and then
turn it to the desired broiling time up to 60 minutes. The power indicator light
will come on while the timer is in use.
Place the food on the bake pan, crumb tray, or the wire rack in any of the rack
positions so long as food is at least 1 ½ inches from the heating element
If the food will drip and you are using the wire rack, place the bake pan under
the wire rack and make sure the food does not extend beyond the bake
pan/crumb tray so drips do not hit the heating element.
Insert the food into the oven and close the door so it is slightly ajar.
Broil the food according to the recipe or package directions and check for
doneness at the minimum suggested broiling time.
Be sure to use oven mitts or potholders to open the door. Slide the wire rack
or pan out using the shelf handle, oven mitts or potholders.
Thaw frozen meats first before broiling.

Trim excess fat from meats and score the edges to prevent the meat from
curling.
Brush foods with a little oil & seasonings before broiling if desired.
Fish fillets are delicate and should be broiled using the bake pan or crumb tray.
There is no need to turn the fish over during broiling unless you are using thick
fillets.
If you hear a popping sound during broiling you should lower the temperature
or lower the food in the oven.
Clean oven and bake tray/crumb tray after broiling to prevent a buildup of
grease that could cause the oven to smoke.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the Convection Oven is unplugged and completely cooled
before cleaning or attempting to store the item. NEVER IMMERSE base in water or
any other liquid.
It is important to clean your Convection Oven thoroughly after each use to prevent
sticky build ups that are difficult to clean later. Proper cleaning of the Convection
Oven can lead to a cleaner, better tasting food.
1. When performing any cleaning or maintenance to this oven, be sure to unplug
from power outlet first and allow the oven to cool completely.
2. Wipe the outer surface of the oven with a warm damp cloth and dry with a soft
cloth.
3. For best oven performance, cleaning should be done on a regular basis.
4. Remove the crumb tray and hand wash in warm soap and water.
5. Wipe the oven walls, the bottom tray, and the glass door with a damp soapy
cloth and rinse with a clean damp cloth. Be careful not to scratch or damage
the heating elements and the safety guards that protect them.
6. For stubborn interior stains you may use a plastic scouring pad.
7. All removable parts such as the wire rack and baking tray should be hand
washed in warm soapy water.
