Please be aware that if your product is capable of retaining user-generated data (such as
files stored on a computer hard drive, telephone numbers stored on a mobile telephone,
songs stored on a portable media player, games saved on a games console or files stored
on a USB memory stick) during the process of repair, some or all of your stored data may
be lost.
We recommend you save this data elsewhere prior to sending the product for repair.
You should also be aware that rather than repairing goods, we may replace them with
refurbished goods of the same type or use refurbished parts in the repair process.
Please be assured though, refurbished parts or replacements are only used where they
meet ALDI's stringent quality specifications.

Cleaning and Maintenance
1.
Switch off and unplug the Egg Cooker from the power outlet.
2.
Empty any water remaining on the top of the power base into a sink. Wipe the top of
the power base with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
3.
Wash the lid, trays, extender ring and measuring cup in warm soapy water, then rinse
and dry thoroughly. Do not put these parts in a dishwasher.
4.
Wipe the exterior housing of the power base with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
CAUTION:
Always switch off and unplug the Egg Cooker when cleaning.
CAUTION:
Do not submerge the power base into water or any other liquids.
NOTE:
There may be a small amount of water and/or condensation remaining on the top
of the Egg Cooker power base after cooking. This is normal and not a product fault.
CAUTION:
The piercing pin on the base of the measuring cup is very sharp, handle with
care.
NOTE:
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners to clean the Egg Cooker, as this could
damage the finish of the appliance.
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the appliance, do not use alkaline cleaning agents when
cleaning, use a soft cloth and a mild detergent.
CAUTION:
Always replace the piercing pin cover on the measuring cup after cleaning.
Overheat Protection
The Egg Cooker has an overheat protection system that shuts off the Egg Cooker in the
event of overheating. In the case of this happening, switch off and unplug from the power
outlet. Allow the Egg Cooker to cool down for at least 15 minutes before attempting to
use again. If the Egg Cooker still does not work, contact the After Sales Support line first
on 1300 777 137 for further assistance.
Storage
•
Before packing away the Egg Cooker for storage, ensure it is clean and dry.
•
We recommend storing the Egg Cooker in its original carton to protect it from dust,
with all the parts and accessories.
Store the Egg Cooker in a clean and dry place, out of children's reach.
Do not place heavy objects on top of the Egg Cooker during storage.
NOTE:
Always store the measuring cup with the piercing pin cover securely attached.

The appliance is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and parts for a period
of 12 months from the date of purchase. Defects that occur within this warranty period,
under normal use and care, will be repaired, replaced or refunded at our discretion. The
benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies in respect of
the appliance that the consumer has under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and
similar state and territory laws.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer

Check that the power cord is correctly plugged into the

down for at least 15 minutes before attempting to use again.

The eggs are over
cooked or under
cooked?
If your eggs are overcooked, reduce the amount of water
2.5mL at a time, until you achieve your desired result. The
recommended minimum amount of water is 20mL.
If your eggs are undercooked, increase the amount of water
2.5mL at a time, until you achieve your desired result. The
recommended maximum amount of water is 70mL.
The eggs crack
during the cooking
process?
It is recommended to pierce the eggs on the bottom (large)
end, to prevent the eggs from cracking during the cooking
process. Refer to the instructions on page 11 and 15 for how
to pierce the egg.
The poached
egg is difficult to
remove from the
poaching tray?
Increase the amount of cooking oil spray you use before
adding the egg to the poaching tray.
The ready alarm
will not turn off?
The ready alarm will continue to buzz until the Egg Cooker is
turned off. Press the 0 button to turn the Egg Cooker OFF.
Always switch off and unplug the Egg Cooker from the power
outlet once you have finished cooking.

Electrical Safety and Cord Handling
1.
Before turning on the Egg Cooker ensure the electrical voltage and frequency of the
circuit corresponds to those indicated on the rating label of the product.
2.
To protect against fire and electric shock, do not immerse the base, cord set or plug
in water or any other liquid.
3.
Do not use an extension cord unless completely necessary with the Egg Cooker. If
an extension cord is used, please ensure that it has a rating equal or exceeding the
rating of this product.
4.
Do not pull or carry by the cord, use the cord as a handle, close a door on the cord, or
pull the cord around sharp edges or corners. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
5.
Do not bend or damage the power cord.
6.
Never force the plug into an outlet.
7.
Always unplug the Egg Cooker when not in use. To disconnect from the power
supply, grip the plug and pull from the power outlet. Never pull by the cord. The plug
must be removed from the power outlet before cleaning, servicing, maintenance or
moving the Egg Cooker.
8.
Do not move or lift the Egg Cooker while the cord is still connected to the power
outlet or still on.
9.
To avoid a hazard, do not use the appliance if the plug, cord or the Egg Cooker itself
is damaged. Please contact the After Sales Support line for further advice.
10.
Ensure that the power cord does not become tangled under the base of the Egg Cooker.
11.
Unless your home is already fitted with a residual current device (safety switch), we
recommend installing an RCD with a rated residual operating current not exceeding
30mA to provide additional safety protection when using electrical appliances. See

The Egg Cooker is not a toy. Supervise children to ensure they do not play with this
product.

The Egg Cooker is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product by a
person responsible for their safety.
5.
Do not leave the Egg Cooker unattended when plugged in. Always switch off and
unplug when you are not using the Egg Cooker.
6.
Do not operate or place any part of the Egg Cooker on or near any hot surfaces (such
as a gas, or an electric burner or a heated oven).
7.
This unit has no user-serviceable parts contained within. Do not attempt to repair,
disassemble or modify the Egg Cooker.
8.
The manufacturer is not responsible for any eventual damage caused by improper or
faulty use. Improper installation may result in the risk of fire, electric shock or injury to
person.
9.
The use of attachments not sold or recommended by the manufacturer may cause
fire, electric shock or injury.
10.
The Egg Cooker is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or any
type of separate remote control system.

Handling and Usage
1.
To reduce the risk of electrocution, never operate this product with wet hands,
submerge in water or spill liquids into the power base.
2.
Do not use the Egg Cooker near a window as rain may cause electric shock.
3.
Do not place the Egg Cooker near a hot gas or electric burner or combustible
materials such as curtains or tablecloths.
4.
Do not cover the Egg Cooker whilst in use. If it is covered there may be a risk of electric fire.
5.
Do not place the appliance against a wall or against other appliances, leave at least
10cm of free space around the product.
6.
Always operate the Egg Cooker on an even and stable surface. Do not operate the
Egg Cooker on an inclined plane.
7.
The Egg Cooker can get very hot during use. Always use tongs and/or oven mitts
when opening the lid or handling the trays, poaching tray or extender ring.

Do not move the Egg Cooker while it is on.

NOTE:
The water measurements in the table above for boiling and poaching eggs are only
a suggestion and based on large (50-55g) size refrigerated eggs.
NOTE:
If you are using small, extra-large or jumbo size and/or room temperature eggs.
you may need to adjust the amount of water to achieve your desired egg type.
NOTE:
Results may vary depending on the size and temperature of the egg, the ambient
room temperature and quantity of eggs being cooked at the same time. We encourage
you to experiment with different water measurements to achieve your desired egg type.
NOTE:
Always add at least 20mL of water to the Egg Cooker. Never add more than 70mL
of water to the Egg Cooker. Too little water may result in the Egg Cooker switching off due
to overheating. Adding more than 70mL of water to the Egg Cooker may result in boiling
water escaping from the Egg Cooker.
NOTE:
It is recommended to use large (50-55g) size eggs in the Egg Cooker. If you are
using extra-large or jumbo size eggs, fewer eggs will fit on the trays and the total capacity
of the Egg Cooker will be reduced.
TIP:
If your eggs are overcooked, reduce the amount of water 2.5mL at a time, until you
achieve your desired result. The recommended minimum amount of water is 20mL. If your

NOTE:
When steaming protein, it is recommended to place the protein in the poaching
tray or line the tray with baking paper before adding the protein to the bottom tray.

Press the (!) button to turn the Egg Cooker ON. The indicator light will illuminate,
indicating the Egg Cooker is on and has started the cooking process.
WARNING:
Always check that water has been added to the Egg Cooker before turning
on. Never operate the Egg Cooker without adding the water first. Refer to the instructions
on page 10 for how to add the water.
NOTE:
The cooking indicator light will only illuminate once the (1) button has been pressed.
WARNING:
Never lean or reach over the Egg Cooker while it is on and cooking. During
the cooking process. steam will escape from the vent and may burn or scald.

Once the water has evaporated, the indicator light will turn off indicating the Egg
Cooker has stopped heating and the ready alarm will buzz, indicating that the
cooking process is complete.

WARNING:

Using oven mitts, carefully remove the lid from the Egg Cooker and allow the steam
to fully escape.
7.
Using tongs and oven mitts, carefully remove the steamed vegetables from the Egg
Cooker and place onto a plate. Remove the tray and set aside on a heat resistant
surface. Then remove the steamed protein and place onto a plate.
NOTE:
When the Egg Cooker is on, the water will heat up and evaporate. As the water

the vent on the lid of the Egg Cooker will be extremely hot and may burn or scald.
11.
The extender ring gets very hot during use. Do not touch the sides of the extender
ring while the Egg Cooker is in use. Always use tongs and/or oven mitts to remove
the extender ring. Take care when removing the extender ring, as any residual steam
will escape and may burn or scald.
12.
Always pierce the bottom (large) end of each egg (using the egg piercing pin located
on the bottom of the measuring cup). This will help prevent the eggs from cracking
during the cooking process.
13.
The Egg Cooker has an overheat protection system that shuts off the Egg Cooker in

the power outlet. Allow the Egg Cooker to cool down for at least 15 minutes before

Do not touch hot surfaces. The temperature of the outer body can get very
hot while the Egg Cooker is in operation. Allow the unit to cool down completely before
cleaning or packing the unit away for storage.
CAUTION:
This unit operates with steam. Be extremely careful when using to avoid
scalding and burns.
CAUTION:
Steam can scald. Take care to avoid contact with any steam emitted from
the Egg Cooker when in use. Keep all body parts. including hands and feet away from
escaping steam.

Never remove the lid when the Egg Cooker is in operation.

It is recommended to place the boiled eggs into a bowl of cold water. This will make
it easier to peel the eggs.
NOTE:

The poached egg should "slide" easily from the poaching tray. If the poached egg
is stuck to the poaching tray and does not "slide", you may need to spray more cooking
oil prior to adding the egg to the poaching tray next time.
Steaming Food in the Egg Cooker
NOTE:
When using the Egg Cooker as a steamer, either the bottom or top tray. or both,
can be used.
TIP:
When steaming protein and vegetables at the same time, it is highly recommended to
place the protein on the bottom tray and the vegetables on the top tray. This will prevent
any food cross contamination and give you the best results.
TIP:
Season before steaming by using fresh herbs, spices, lemon or onions.
TIP:
It is best to add oils and liquids after steaming. If using liquids, wrap the protein in
some baking paper before steaming but ensure it does not cover the steaming tray.
1.
Assemble the Egg Cooker. Refer to the instructions on page 10 for how to assemble
the Egg Cooker.
2.
Place the food to be steamed on the tray/s. Ensure the tray is not overfilled to ensure
the food is cooked evenly.

TIP:
For best results, it is recommended to only poach an
egg with the yolk intact (not broken).

Place the poaching tray on the centre of the top tray.
Then place the lid on the Egg Cooker (Fig. 14).
7.
Press the 0 button to turn the Egg Cooker ON. The
indicator light will illuminate, indicating the Egg Cooker
is on and has started the cooking process.

Using oven mitts, carefully remove the lid from the Egg Cooker and allow the steam
to fully escape.
11.
Using tongs or oven mitts, carefully remove the poaching tray from the Egg Cooker.
Then using oven mitts, remove the tray and set aside on a heat resistant surface.
WARNING:
The poaching tray will be extremely hot. Always use tongs or oven mitts to
remove the poaching tray from the Egg Cooker.
12.
Using a spatula, slide the poached egg from the poaching tray onto a plate.
13.
Using tongs, remove the cooked eggs from the tray and place them in a bowl of cold
water. Then using oven mitts, remove the tray and set aside on a heat resistant surface.
14.
Once the eggs have cooled down sufficiently, peel and enjoy.

Prior to first use, please read all safety and operating instructions thoroughly. Please
ensure you follow the steps below before using this product. We recommend you keep the

1.
Unpack the Egg Cooker but keep all packaging materials until you have made sure
the new Egg Cooker is undamaged and in good working order. Plastic wrapping can
be a suffocation hazard for babies and children so ensure all packaging materials are
out of their reach.
2.
Remove the twist-tie which is securing the electrical cord. Uncoil the cord and
straighten it to remove any kinks. Do not use the product if these parts are damaged.
In case of damage, phone the After Sales Support line on 1300 777 137 for further
advice.
3.
Place the Egg Cooker on a dry, stable and heat resistant surface.
4.
Wipe the exterior housing of the Egg Cooker with a soft, damp cloth and then dry
thoroughly. Do not immerse the Egg Cooker in water or any other liquids.
5.
Wash the lid, trays, extender ring and poaching tray in warm soapy water and dry
thoroughly. Do not put these parts in a dishwasher.
WARNING:
Do not touch any of the outer surfaces of the Egg Cooker while in operation.
Always use oven mitts when opening the lid or handling the trays, poaching tray or
extender ring.
CAUTION:
You may notice a slight odour being emitted from the Egg Cooker during the
initial use. This is normal and the odour will cease with continued use.
WARNING:
Never remove the lid when the Egg Cooker is in operation.

TIP:

1.

piercing pin is located on the base of the measuring
cup. First, remove the pin cover from the base of the

bottom (large) end of the egg and gently press while
twisting the piercing pin into the egg (Fig. 13).

Instructions
Assembling the Egg Cooker
1.
Place the power base on a dry, stable, heat resistant
surface. Plug the cord into a power outlet and switch
on at the outlet.
2.
Using the measuring cup (included), add the water to
the well located in the top of the power base (Fig. 1).
Please refer to the cooking table on page 19 for the
suggested amount of water depending on what you
are cooking.
WARNING:
Always add that water to the Egg Cooker
before turning on. Never operate the Egg Cooker without
adding the water first.
NOTE:
The amount of water may exceed the capacity
of the well in the top of the power base. This is normal
and not a product fault. Do not overfill the top of the Egg
Cooker power base. The maximum amount of water that
can be added to the Egg Cooker is 70mL.
3.
Place one of the trays on top of the power base
(Fig. 2).
4.
Place the extender ring on top of the bottom tray, so
that it rests on the inside edge of the tray with the
arrows located on the extender ring facing upwards
(Fig. 3).
TIP:
It is recommended to place the extender ring onto
the bottom tray first, before placing the eggs or food to be
steamed on the bottom tray. Placing the eggs or food to be
steamed on the bottom tray first, may make it difficult to
place the extender ring onto the tray.
NOTE:
Place the eggs or food being steamed on the
bottom tray before placing the top tray onto the extender
ring.
5.
Place the other tray on top of the extender ring (Fig. 4).
NOTE:

using extra-large or jumbo size eggs, fewer eggs will fit on the trays and the overall
capacity
of the Egg Cooker will be reduced.

piercing pin is located on the base of the measuring
cup. First, remove the pin cover from the base of

bottom (large) end of the egg and gently press while
twisting the piercing pin into the egg (Fig. 7).
TIP:
Twisting the pin while gently pressing down will
make it easier to pierce the shell of the egg.
TIP:
Piercing the eggs will help prevent the eggs from cracking during the cooking process.
WARNING:
The piercing pin is very sharp. Take care when handling the pin. Never touch
the end of the pin.
NOTE:
Always replace the piercing pin cover once you
have finished piercing the eggs. Do not leave the cover
off when you are not using the piercing pin. This is very
dangerous.
NOTE:
It
is recommended to pierce at least 1 hole in the
bottom (large) end of the egg. Never pierce
more than 2
holes, as the egg may crack or break.
3.
Once an egg has been pierced, place the egg onto
the tray, with the top (small) end downwards (Fig. 8).

Using a spatula, slide the poached egg from the poaching tray onto a plate.
NOTE:
When the Egg Cooker is on, the water will heat up and evaporate. As the water
evaporates, beads of condensation will form inside the Egg Cooker. This is normal and not
a product fault.

Once the water has evaporated, the indicator light will turn off indicating the Egg
Cooker has stopped heating and the ready alarm will buzz, indicating that the
cooking process is complete.

Press the 0 button to turn the ready alarm off. Switch off and unplug the Egg Cooker
from the power outlet.
NOTE:
The alarm will only turn off once the 0 button has been pressed.
WARNING:
To avoid overheating, always turn the Egg Cooker OFF and switch off and
unplug from the power outlet when not in use.

Using oven mitts, carefully remove the lid from the Egg Cooker and allow the steam
to fully escape.

Using tongs or oven mitts, carefully remove the poaching tray from the Egg Cooker.
Then using oven mitts, remove the tray and set aside on a heat resistant surface.
WARNING:
The poaching tray will be extremely hot. Always use tongs or oven mitts to
remove the poaching tray from the Egg Cooker.

Using a spatula, slide the poached egg from the poaching tray onto a plate.
13.
Using tongs, remove the cooked eggs from the tray and place them in a bowl of cold
water. Then using oven mitts, remove the tray and set aside on a heat resistant surface.
14.
Once the eggs have cooled down sufficiently, peel and enjoy.
Getting Started
Prior to first use, please read all safety and operating instructions thoroughly. Please
ensure you follow the steps below before using this product. We recommend you keep the
original packaging for storing your Egg Cooker when not in use.
1.
Unpack the Egg Cooker but keep all packaging materials until you have made sure
the new Egg Cooker is undamaged and in good working order. Plastic wrapping can
be a suffocation hazard for babies and children so ensure all packaging materials are
out of their reach.
2.
Remove the twist-tie which is securing the electrical cord. Uncoil the cord and
straighten it to remove any kinks. Do not use the product if these parts are damaged.
In case of damage, phone the After Sales Support line on 1300 777 137 for further
advice.
3.
Place the Egg Cooker on a dry, stable and heat resistant surface.
4.
Wipe the exterior housing of the Egg Cooker with a soft, damp cloth and then dry
thoroughly. Do not immerse the Egg Cooker in water or any other liquids.
5.
Wash the lid, trays, extender ring and poaching tray in warm soapy water and dry
thoroughly. Do not put these parts in a dishwasher.
WARNING:
Do not touch any of the outer surfaces of the Egg Cooker while in operation.
Always use oven mitts when opening the lid or handling the trays, poaching tray or
extender ring.
CAUTION:
You may notice a slight odour being emitted from the Egg Cooker during the
initial use. This is normal and the odour will cease with continued use.
WARNING:
Never remove the lid when the Egg Cooker is in operation.

TIP:
It is recommended to place the boiled eggs into a bowl of cold water. This will make
it easier to peel the eggs.
NOTE:
When the Egg Cooker is on. the water will heat up and evaporate. As the water
evaporates, beads of condensation will form inside the Egg Cooker. This is normal and not
a product fault.
NOTE:
When the Egg Cooker is on, the water will heat up and generate steam. During the
cooking process the steam will escape from the vent on the lid. This is normal and not a

WARNING:
Never leave the Egg Cooker unattended when it is on and cooking or in a
location where children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
have unsupervised access and can easily come into contact with the extremely hot
surface of the Egg Cooker. Always switch off and unplug when you are not using the Egg
Cooker.
WARNING:
The lid, trays and extender ring will get very hot when the Egg Cooker is in
use. Always use tongs and/or oven mitts when removing the lid, trays and extender ring
and place them on a heat resistant surface to cool down before cleaning.
NOTE:
The poached egg should "slide" easily from the poaching tray. If the poached egg
is stuck to the poaching tray and does not "slide", you may need to spray more cooking
oil prior to adding the egg to the poaching tray next time.
Steaming Food in the Egg Cooker
NOTE:
When using the Egg Cooker as a steamer, either the bottom or top tray. or both,
can be used.
TIP:
When steaming protein and vegetables at the same time, it is highly recommended to
place the protein on the bottom tray and the vegetables on the top tray. This will prevent
any food cross contamination and give you the best results.
TIP:
Season before steaming by using fresh herbs, spices, lemon or onions.
TIP:
It is best to add oils and liquids after steaming. If using liquids, wrap the protein in
some baking paper before steaming but ensure it does not cover the steaming tray.

NOTE:
When steaming protein, it is recommended to place the protein in the poaching
tray or line the tray with baking paper before adding the protein to the bottom tray.

Press the (!) button to turn the Egg Cooker ON. The indicator light will illuminate,

WARNING:
Always check that water has been added to the Egg Cooker before turning
on. Never operate the Egg Cooker without adding the water first. Refer to the instructions
on page 10 for how to add the water.

The cooking indicator light will only illuminate once the (1) button has been pressed.

the extender ring. Take care when removing the extender ring, as any residual steam
will escape and may burn or scald.

Always pierce the bottom (large) end of each egg (using the egg piercing pin located
on the bottom of the measuring cup). This will help prevent the eggs from cracking
during the cooking process.

The Egg Cooker has an overheat protection system that shuts off the Egg Cooker in
the event of overheating. In the case of this happening, switch off and unplug from
the power outlet. Allow the Egg Cooker to cool down for at least 15 minutes before
attempting to use again. If the Egg Cooker still does not work, contact the After Sales
Support line first on 1300 777 137 for further assistance.
WARNING:
Do not touch hot surfaces. The temperature of the outer body can get very
hot while the Egg Cooker is in operation. Allow the unit to cool down completely before
cleaning or packing the unit away for storage.
CAUTION:
This unit operates with steam. Be extremely careful when using to avoid
scalding and burns.

a suggestion and based on large (50-55g) size refrigerated eggs.

Always add at least 20mL of water to the Egg Cooker. Never add more than 70mL
of water to the Egg Cooker. Too little water may result in the Egg Cooker switching off due
to overheating. Adding more than 70mL of water to the Egg Cooker may result in boiling
water escaping from the Egg Cooker.
NOTE:
It is recommended to use large (50-55g) size eggs in the Egg Cooker. If you are
using extra-large or jumbo size eggs, fewer eggs will fit on the trays and the total capacity
of the Egg Cooker will be reduced.
TIP:
If your eggs are overcooked, reduce the amount of water 2.5mL at a time, until you
achieve your desired result. The recommended minimum amount of water is 20mL. If your
eggs are undercooked. increase the amount of water 2.5mL at a time, until you achieve

The eggs are over
cooked or under
cooked?
If your eggs are overcooked, reduce the amount of water
2.5mL at a time, until you achieve your desired result. The

recommended maximum amount of water is 70mL.
The eggs crack
during the cooking
process?
It is recommended to pierce the eggs on the bottom (large)
end, to prevent the eggs from cracking during the cooking
process. Refer to the instructions on page 11 and 15 for how
to pierce the egg.
The poached
egg is difficult to
remove from the
poaching tray?
Increase the amount of cooking oil spray you use before
adding the egg to the poaching tray.
The ready alarm
will not turn off?
The ready alarm will continue to buzz until the Egg Cooker is
turned off. Press the 0 button to turn the Egg Cooker OFF.
Always switch off and unplug the Egg Cooker from the power
outlet once you have finished cooking.

Electrical Safety and Cord Handling

Before turning on the Egg Cooker ensure the electrical voltage and frequency of the
circuit corresponds to those indicated on the rating label of the product.
2.
To protect against fire and electric shock, do not immerse the base, cord set or plug
in water or any other liquid.
3.
Do not use an extension cord unless completely necessary with the Egg Cooker. If
an extension cord is used, please ensure that it has a rating equal or exceeding the
rating of this product.

Do not pull or carry by the cord, use the cord as a handle, close a door on the cord, or
pull the cord around sharp edges or corners. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
5.
Do not bend or damage the power cord.

Never force the plug into an outlet.

Always unplug the Egg Cooker when not in use. To disconnect from the power
supply, grip the plug and pull from the power outlet. Never pull by the cord. The plug
