Thank you for purchasing the MidiPak by American DJ®. The MidiPak can be used as a stand alone chas-
er, or can be controlled by a DMX controller or through MIDI. This unit is designed to be hung on to trussing or
a light stand. The MidiPak can be remotely controlled with the optional MidiPak Remote. This model is a 4
channel DMX & MIDI power pack, it has RECEIVING & CHASING operating modes, built-in EPROM is incor-
porated with this unit to store operating mode and programming options.

MidiPak Introduction
MidiPak Controls & Functions
1. CHANNEL OUTPUT: 5Aper channel, 15AMAX
2. CHANNEL LEDs: They are lit when the corresponding channel is ON.
3. LCD DISPLAY: Shows the operating mode and function parameter specified as follows:
On:01 - On:16 MIDI-IN CHANNEL
N:001 - N:128 NOTE NUMBER
D:001 - D:512 DMX CHANNEL
P:01 - P:16 CHASE CHANNEL
SP:01 - SP:99 CHASE SPEED
d:000 - d: 100 CHASE DIMMER
4. MODE BUTTON: Press to select operating mode from RECEIVE and CHASE modes.
5. MENU BUTTON: Press to select display item in LCD.
Press MODE + MENU BUTTONS to select RECEIVE mode between
Seperate and Parallel modes.
6. BUTTON: Press to increase the display value.
7. BUTTON: Press to decrease the display value.
8. POWER INPUT: AC 120V - 60Hz
9. DMX IN: Use to receive DMX data.
10. DMX OUT: Use to send DMX data.
11. CHANNEL FUSE: 6.3A250V
12. MIDI IN: Use to receive MIDI data.
13. MIDI THRU: Use to output the data received
by the MIDI IN connector.
14. REMOTE INFARED SENSOR: Use to detect
the remotes infared signal.
15. LINK IN: Use to receive the information from
another MidiPak or plug in external detector.
16. LINK OUT: Use to output the information to another MidiPak.

Remote Controller Controls & Functions
1. RECEIVE BUTTON: Press to select RECEIVE mode.
2. MENU BUTTON: Press to select display item in LCD.
3. FULL ON BUTTON: Press to activate all channels to FULL
ON mode. Press it once more to resume normal mode.
4. STAND BY BUTTON: Press to pause all channels output,
press it once more to resume normal mode.
5. SEPERATE BUTTON: Press to select SEPERATE receiving
mode.
6. BUTTON: Press to decrease the display value.
7. BUTTON: Press to increase the display value.
8. PARALLEL BUTTON: Press to select PARALLEL receiving
mode.
9. CHASE BUTTON: Press to select CHASE mode.
Battery Warning!: Remove the batteries when the remote will
not be in use for a long period of time. Never mix old and new
batteries or batteries of different type. Always load the batteries
with the correct polarity.
Caution!: The MidiPak must be grounded ! Always disconnect from main power before servicing. There may be high
voltage running through console. Remember to always replace with same type fuses. To Prevent Fire or Shock hazard,
do NOT expose this unit to rain or moisture.
