SpeedDome Ultra 8:
Equipped with wide dynamic range, true Day/Night
and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), SpeedDome
Ultra 8 with 35x and 540 TVL allows users to see
farther and clearer than ever before. A 12x digital
magnifier with 35x optical zoom yields a total zoom
of 420x. This series also features privacy zones,
on-screen programming, alarm inputs and DirectSet
for fast access to the most frequently used functions.
A choice of black or white camera assemblies is
available.
SpeedDome Ultra 8 with 22x delivers excellent
color images in scenes as dim as .02 lux. This series
combines 22x optical zoom and 11x digital zoom for
242x total zoom and has low-light capability of .004
lux. Like the SpeedDome Ultra 8 with 35x, this series
also includes DirectSet, privacy zones, on-screen
programming and alarm inputs.
SpeedDome Optima:
Powered with 22x optical zoom and 11x digital
zoom for a total of 242x zoom, SpeedDome Optima
delivers high quality color images. The series includes
an alarm imput, 96 user-programmable presets three
patterns, and a pre-wired harness for easy installation and
servicing. Compatible with any American Dynamics
controller or matrix/switcher controller system,
Optima is available in outdoor models only.
SpeedDome Optima LT:
SpeedDome Optima LT includes the same features
as a standard dome — all for an impressively low
price. Optima LT renders high quality color images
and offers up to 242x zoom (22x optical and
11x digital zoom), 96 user-programmable presets and
three patterns. It is compatible with most American
Dynamics controllers or matrix/switcher controller
systems and designed for indoor use only.

simply cannot get from a fixed camera. Our technology delivers the details of your
target, zooming in or out in less than a second to capture the image you need the instant an alarm
goes off. Our innovative Zoom-Adjusted Programming (ZAP) lets you pan, tilt and zoom in every
direction, automatically adjusting the pan and tilt speed in proportion to the zoom. Additional
features enable you to conduct a virtual patrol of your facility whether or not someone is manning
the controls. Auto-focus with manual override renders a clear picture every time. From the most
distant corner of a parking garage to the maze of hallways throughout a building, SpeedDome
programmable dome cameras take you everywhere you need to see.

Mounting Base
We offer an I/O Board
Mounting Base which
makes installation as easy as
screwing in a lightbulb with
just three simple steps:
1) Connect the composite
cables for power, communication
and video to the I/O PC board
in the mounting base.
2) Secure the mounting base to
the ceiling or desired location.
3 & 4) Connect the housing
and eyeball assembly to the
base by aligning the cap and
base tabs, and then turning
the housing clockwise until you
hear a click. Once the housing
is secured, only the florescent
dot will be seen.
5) Dome is mounted and
ready-to-go. Wait a few
seconds for dome to begin
its homing routine. This
mounting base supports four
alarm inputs and three alarm
outputs.

This Top Hat housing with trim ring and plastic
base mounts directly to a ceiling or indoor
mounting structure. It is a metal enclosure that
houses the dome. The trim ring is slightly larger
so that it completely covers the Top Hat’s metal
rim. The RHIUTH is plenum-rated
This assembly allows the dome to be suspended
from an I-beam; and includes a clamp, pipe tee
nipple and flange. The clamp attaches to a 1.25"
pipe, provided by the customer, then affixes to
the pendant hardware. The housing or dome
assembly also mounts to the structure.
This mount suspends a SpeedDome Ultra or a
SpeedDome Optima housing from a ceiling or
horizontal surface. It can be installed using either
1.25" NPT threaded pipe or rigid conduit, new
or existing, up to 10' (3 meters) in length.
This bracket enables the Top Hat housing to be
recessed in the ceiling (requires RHIUTH Top
Hat). The bracket is mounted to the Top Hat
and installed in a hole cut in the ceiling — per-
fect for sheet rock, plaster or solid ceilings. The
hard ceiling bracket can be installed entirely from
below the ceiling; the installer will not have to
access the area above the ceiling to install it.
Used with the RHIUTH Top Hat, this bracket
enables the housing to be recessed in the ceiling
or in a 2-foot drop ceiling tile. The bracket is
mounted to the Top Hat housing and installed in
a hole cut in the ceiling. The bracket distributes
the weight of the dome and Top Hat housing
across the T-bar framework of the ceiling. It is
also very useful for sheet rock, plaster, or solid
ceilings.
Used with the RHIUTH Top Hat, this bracket
enables the housing to be recessed in drop
ceilings that utilize anything other than 2-foot
grids. The bracket distributes the weight of the
dome and the Top Hat housing across the T-bar
framework of the ceiling and is adjustable from
632-1219 mm (24-48 in)
This mount enables the Top Hat housing to be
recessed in a 2' x 2' drop tile ceiling. The ceiling
tile is removed and the white tile mount is simply
dropped in its place. A Top Hat housing and
plastic base are included in the kit.
This mount enables the pendant mount to be
installed in a 2' x 2' drop tile ceiling. The Top
Hat housing/dome assembly also mounts to the
structure. The mounting kit includes a 2' x 2'
plate and pendant hardware. The plate attaches
to a 1.25" pipe, provided by the customer, then
affixes to the Top Hat housing/dome assembly.
If mounting a SpeedDome Optima with this
model, a RHOPN ceiling pendant mount kit is
required.
