FEATURES
The AD1024HS Standby Hot Switch is for use
with dual AD1024 CPUs. It continuously
monitors each CPU’s High Speed Data Line for
normal operation and detects any malfunctions
in either CPU. When the AD1024 Hot Switch
detects a malfunction, it automatically selects
the alternate CPU to provide uninterrupted
system operation.
Front panel switches provide automatic or
manual selection of either CPU for system
control and on/off control of the audible alert
alarm.
Twenty-seven LED indicators are located on the
front panel. These LEDs indicate the status of
the CPUs, the RS-232 ports and the hot switch.
In addition to visual indication, the AD1024HS
provides an audible alarm signal to alert the
operator of a malfunction in the CPUs. Form C
relay outputs are also available for operation of
external alarm devices. The unit has rack ears for
standard 19-inch EIA rack mounting.
