Just as with any other type of physical activity, participants can be injured if the correct saf ety
procedures are not followed. To reduce the risk of injury, please f ollow the appro priate safety
rules and tips.
- Misuse and abuse of this trampoline is dangerous and can cause serious injury!
- Trampolines, being rebounding de vices, propel the performer to unaccustomed heights
and into a variety of body movements that they may not be used to, so care should be
taken when performing any type of exercise on a trampoline.
- Always inspect the trampoline before each use for wear to the jumping mat and any loose
or missing parts.

INFORMATION ON THE USE OF THE
TRAMPOLINE
First of all, the user should familiarize himself with the feeling and the spring force of the trampo-
line. Pay attention to the basic body positions and practice e very kind of jump
(the basic jumps) until they can be carried out easily and in a controlled manner.
To stop jumping, simply bend your knees before your feet touch the mat. This is a basic techni-
que that must be practiced together with the basic jumps. This “braking” skill must be used when-
ever control of movement or balance is lost, or when y ou’re practicing the first jumps on a
trampoline. If this braking maneuver isn’t used, the risk of injury from landing on the frame, the
springs or off the trampoline increases if a jump gets out of control. A controlled jump is one
where you land at the same point as where you jumped. If the user loses control while jumping on
the trampoline, he/she must apply the braking maneuver when landing. So he/she regains control
and interrupts the jump.
Somersault: We recommend NOT doing somersaults (neither forwards nor backwards) on this
trampoline. If the user makes a mistake during a somersault, he/she could land on the head or
neck, which could lead t o serious injuries.
Foreign bodies: DO NOT use the trampoline if there are pets, other people, or objects
underneath. This increases the risk of injury.
Don’t hold an object in your hands or place it on the trampoline when it is in use. When using the
trampoline, also pay attention to what is above you. Branches, cables and other objects above the
trampoline increase the risk of injury.
Number of users on the trampoline: The trampoline may only be used by one person at a time. If
several people are on the trampoline at the same time, the risk of injury ma y increase.
Improper trampoline maintenance: A trampoline in poor condition will increase the risk of injuries.
Please inspect the trampoline before each use for bent steel tubes, torn mat, loose or broken
springs, and overall stability of the trampoline.
Placement of the trampoline: The trampoline must always be set up and used on level ground. If
the trampoline is used on uneven ground, the risk of injury and/or the risk of damage t o the tram-
poline increases.
Weather conditions: Please be aware of the weather conditions when using the trampoline. If the
mat of the trampoline is wet, the jumper could slip and injure him or herself. High winds can also
cause jumpers to lose control.
Access restriction: If the trampoline isn’t used, the access ladder must be stored in a safe place
so that unsupervised children can’t play on the trampoline.

6
TIPS FOR PREVENTING ACCIDENTS
User:
The easiest way to avoid accidents is to perform controlled jumps. DO NOT try more compli-
cated and difficult maneuvers if the basic jump can’t y et be safely performed. Education is also
an important element of security. Before using the trampoline, all information on precautionary
measures must be read, understood and implemented. In the case of a controlled jump, the user
of the trampoline lands again at the point from which he jumped. Further safety tips and instruc-
tions can be obtained from qualified trampoline trainers.
Supervisor:
When supervising other trampoline users, the supervisor must understand and enforce all safety
rules and regulations. It is the responsibility of the supervisor t o provide sound advice to all users
and to explain the rules to the users. If there is no suit able supervisor, the trampoline must be
stored in a safe place or dismantled to prevent unauthorized use, or covered with a heavy tarp
that can be secured with chains and a lock. The supervisor is also responsible f or ensuring that
the safety shield is attached to the trampoline and that users are a ware of the warnings and in-
structions on it.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE TRAMPOLINE
User:
- Don’t use the trampoline if y ou consumed alcohol or drugs.
- Remove all hard and sharp objects before you use the trampoline.
- Climb onto and off the trampoline in a controlled and careful manner. Ne ver jump on or
off the trampoline and never use the trampoline to jump on or into another object.
- First learn all basic jumps and practice them in det ail before trying more difficult jumps.
The section on basic skills contains information on how to learn these basics.
- To stop jumping, bend your knees when landing on the mat.
- Always be in control when jumping on the trampoline. A controlled jump is one in which
you land at the same point as where y ou jumped from. Should the user lose control,
he/she must try to stop jumping.
- Under no circumstances should you jump continuously for a long time or make several
jumps in succession that are too high.
- Keep your eyes on the mat in order to keep control.
- The trampoline may never be used by more than one person.
- Users must be supervised by a supervisor.

7
Supervisors:
- Supervisors must familiarize themselves with the basic jumps and safety rules. In order to
prevent injury and reduce the risk of injury, the y must ensure that all safety rules are
followed and learn inexperienced users the basics bef ore letting them attempt more
difficult, advanced jumps.
- All users, regardless of age and e xperience, must be supervised.
- Never use the trampoline if it is w et, damaged, contaminated or worn. Check the
trampoline for signs of wear before each use.
- Keep all objects that could hinder the user from jumping a way from the trampoline.
Pay attention to what is above and below the trampoline and in its surroundings.
- The trampoline must be secured appropriat ely when not in use so that it can’t be used
without authorization.

8
GENERAL SECURITY
Never jump on the trampoline for a long time. Fatigue increases the risk of injury. Jump f or a
shorter time and then give others the opportunity t o have some fun. The trampoline may never
be used by more than one person at the same time.
Users should wear t-shirts, shorts or sweatpants and gym shoes or thick socks, or jump barefoot.
Beginners are advised to wear long-sleeved tops and long pants to protect themselves from
scratches and abrasions until they can land and jump safely. Under no circumstances wear shoes
with hard soles (such as tennis shoes) on the trampoline, as these w ear out the mat material.
Always climb on and off the trampoline properly t o prevent injury. To properly ascend, place one
hand on the frame and then climb or roll on the frame, over the springs and onto the mat. Always
put your hands on the frame when getting on and off. Never climb directly onto the frame uphol-
stery or hold on to it. To descend properly, go to the edge of the trampoline and place one hand
on the frame. Then climb from the mat t o the floor. Younger children must be helped t o get on
and off.
Never jump on the trampoline carelessly as this increases the risk of injury. The key to safety and
fun on the trampoline is having control over the various jumps. Never try to outperform other
users! Never use the trampoline alone without supervision.
PLACING THE TRAMPOLINE
The clearance above the trampoline must be at least 7.3 meters. Ensure that there are no
dangerous objects such as branches, other leisure equipment (such as swings or pools), power
cables, walls, fences, etc. in the vicinity of the trampoline. T o use the trampoline safely, pay
attention to the following when choosing your trampoline location:
- The trampoline MUST be placed on level ground for use.
- The area must be well lit.
- Make sure that there are no obstacles below, above or around the trampoline.

9
ACCIDENT CLASSES
Getting on and off : Use caution when getting on and off the trampoline. DO NOT step on the
trampoline by holding onto the frame padding, do not stand on the springs, and do not jump onto
the jumping mat from another object ( such as platforms, roofs or ladders). This increases the risk
of injury. DO NOT leave the trampoline by jumping and landing on the ground, regardless of the
material of the ground. Small children who play on the trampoline may need help getting on and
off.
Consumption of alcohol and drugs: DO NOT consume alcohol or drugs when using this
trampoline. This increases the risk of injury because these substances generally impair judgment,
reaction time and physical coordination.
Multiple users: If multiple users are on the trampoline at the same time, the risk of injury
increases. Injuries occur when someone f alls off the trampoline, loses control, collides with other
users, or lands on the springs. Usually the light est person on the trampoline gets injured.
Advent on the spring rack : Always stay on the mat when using the trampoline. This reduces the
risk of injury from landing on the spring rack. The frame padding must always cover the trampo-
line frame. DO NOT jump or step directly on the frame padding as it is not designed t o carry a
person’s weight.
Loss of control: DO NOT try difficult or other maneuvers if the user is not sure. If these
requirements are not met, the risk of injury increases.
