ASSEMBLING THE BASES
Spin a nut down onto each post. Place a washer
on top of each nut.
Slide the leveling plate down over the posts as
shown. Make sure the hinge is upwards.
Secure the plate from the top with washer, lock
washer and nut.

POSITIONING & ANCHORING THE BASES
Tools Required:
(1) Concrete Drill
(1) 7/8" Masonry Bit
(1) Hammer
(1) 3/4" Wrench or Socket
Proper alignment of standards is critical •
before drilling anchor holes.
Drill recommended diameter hole to depth of •
expansion anchor.
Clean hole of debris. •
Insert expansion anchor in hole threaded •
end first and tap with hammer so that it is
flush with the top of the concrete.
Insert plastic spacer. •
Place base back over holes. •
Insert included 1/2"-13 bolt and 1/2" washer •
through rails into shield and tighten.

Tighten these nuts once the hinge plate is level.
Use these nuts to level the hinge plate.

Loosen the nuts on top of the hinge plate.
Use the nuts below the hinge plate to level it.
Tighten the top nuts.

the hinge of the stem plate. Install the hinge pins.
It is important to make sure that the correct upright
is on the correct side of the landing system.
With the pad facing the center, the Height read out
window should face the runway. The hex rod should
face the rear of the landing system.

ATTACHING THE UPRIGHTS TO THE BASES
Secure the hinge pins together with the provided lanyards and karabiner.
This will help prevent unintentional removal of the hinge pins.
It is important to make sure that the correct upright
is on the correct side of the landing system.
With the pad facing the center, the Height read out
window should face the runway. The hex rod should
face the rear of the landing system.

Move the offset all the way back
Line up the hex rod with the
geared hole in the carriage.

INSTALLING THE OFFSET CARRIAGES
2x Adults required.
Rotate the hex rod so that the Depth read out
shows 80cm.
Push the offset arm back all the way back.
Remove the top plate and the top bumper stop.
Be careful with the hex rod, there is nothing
supporting it now.
Gently guide the carriage over the upright. The
v-wheels should ride on the corners of the
upright. The hex rod may need to be rotated
slightly to align with the geared hole in the
carriage.
Reattach the top plate and top bumper stop.
It is important to make sure that the correct carriage
is on the correct upright.
With gray support plate facing down, the hole for the hex
rod should be towards the rear of the landing system.

INSTALLING THE OFFSET CARRIAGES
Locate the lifter plate behind the brushes. It is at
the top of the tape measure.
Secure the gusset to the bottom of the carriage
and the lifter plate using the provided ball-end
allen wrench.
Gather up the excess timing belt and zip-tie it to
the gusset.

INSTALLING THE OFFSET CARRIAGES
Install the offset extension onto the offset arm and secure it with a clamp knob.
The pin should point towards the rear of the landing system.
The back-stop should be towards the top of the upright.
The clamp knob should be towards the base.

Install the crank handle with post on the height adjustment mechanism.
Install the crank handle with ball knob on the depth adjustment mechanism.
The handles are held in place with pull pins.

RAISING THE UPRIGHT
4x Adults required.
Make sure to have all tools and hardware close
by before starting.
Make sure there is nothing on the leveling plate.
Make sure the hinge pins are in place.
Slowly raise the upright. Secure the stem plate to
the leveling plate with provided hardware.
Tip: It may be helpful to have one person pull with a
rope while the other three push.
To do this, move the carriage to about half way along
the upright and engage the brake (red handle) . With
a rope, make a loose loop around the upright above
the the carriage and make a tight knot.
After the upright is vertical and bolted down , release
the brake and lower the carriage. The loop should
lower with the carriage so that the knot can be undone.

Check to make sure the upright is plumb.
If need be, carefully adjust the nuts on the four posts stick
up from the base.
Only adjust two nuts at a time and make small adjustments.
Use these to adjust the upright to plumb.

Loosen both screws before adjusting the set screw.
Use this set screw to adjust the position of the v-wheels.
FINE TUNING
Check to make sure the carriage is level.
If need be, carefully adjust screws that attach the gussets
to the wheel trucks. First loosen the two screws. Then
adjust the set screws. Finally, retighten the two screws.
Make small adjustments.
Making the carriage hug the upright too tightly can make
it difficult to move up and down.

Loosen to adjust tape measure.
Loosen to adjust clamp position on belt.
Tape Measure
Clamp
Set the adjustable window to match the heigth of the cross bar.
If the height of the cross bar is outside the range of the window, the
tape measure can also be adjusted where it attaches to the carriage.
The tape measure is held in place by a clamp below the carriage.
The whiskers need to be spread open to see it.
There are three screws in the clamp.
Loosen the two screws that are on the same side to adjust the position
of the tape measure.
If even more adjustment is needed, loosen the single screw on the
other side to adjust the position of the clamp on the timining belt.
