Radio Frequency Interference Requirements
This equipment complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to
the following two conditions: (1) This equipment may not cause harmful
interference, and (2) this equipment must accept any interference received,
including interference that may cause undesired operation.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class
A digital device,pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed
to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the
equipment is operated in a residential environment. This equipment generates
uses and can radiate radio frequency energy, and if not installed and used in
accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not
occur in a particular installation. If you determine the equipment does cause
harmful interference to radio or television reception (this may be determined
by monitoring the interference while turning the equipment off and on), you
are encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of the following
measures:
· Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

Communication Ports
The ACC-7225 has four communication ports and one power jack located
on the rear of the cradle.From left to right, these ports are:
2 x Stacked USB 1.1 Host - Full-size Type A
1 x 10/100 Ethernet Networking
1 x 2.1mm 5V DC Center Positive Power Jack
1 x USB 1.1 Slave – Full-size Type B
All port configurations and setup of external devices connected to the
ACC-7225 are done through the M7225 unit.The ACC-7225 has no internal
or external settings that can be changed.
The back label of the ACC-7225 Communications Cradle displays each
connection type:
The Communications Cradle
The cradle automatically charges the M7225’s battery while it is resting in the
cradle. The cradle also includes an extra slot to charge a spare battery. The
Communications Cradle can accommodate the handheld computer with or
without the optional pistol grip handle.
The Communications Cradle has three indicator lights:
- Indicates that the cradle is plugged in.
- Indicates the handheld’s main battery is charging.
- Indicates the spare battery is charging.
When the LED is red, the battery is charging.When the LED is green,the battery
is fully charged. A fully discharged battery takes approximately 5 hours to
completely recharge.
Introduction
The ACC-7225 Communications Cradle charges the AML M7225 Handheld
Computer, along with one spare battery.
About This Guide
This guide provides instruction on setting up and using the ACC-7225 Commu-
nications Cradle.
Set Up
Setting up the cradle includes unpacking, connecting the power cable and
mounting the cradle on a table top.
Unpacking the Cradle
The shipping box includes the following:
· One ACC-7225 Communications Cradle
· One PWR-7100 Power Supply (120VAC)
or PWR-7150 (220VAC)
· One Line Cord with PWR-7150
· This User’s Guide.
If any parts are missing or damaged, contact your authorized Customer
Support Representative immediately. Save the shipping box for storing or
shipping.
Connecting the Power
The PWR-7100 power supply is included with the ACC-7225 Communications
Cradle for 120VAC.The PWR-7150 power supply is included with the ACC-7225
Communications Cradle for 220VAC, along with a country specific line cord.
Use only an AML approved power supply rated at 5 VDC at a minimum of 2.8
Amps.The power supply connects to the ACC-7225 by a 2.1mm x 5.5mm,barrel
center-positive connector.

Spare Battery
To connect power to the cradle:
1. Plug-in the Power Supply to a standard AC electrical outlet.
2. Connect the Power Supply Plug to the barrel power jack on the cradle.
3.The cradle’s Power LED will turn red to indicate that power is available.
4. The Charging LED’s remain green until a terminal or battery is inserted into
the slots.
Charging
Insert the handheld computer into a cradle slot. It begins to charge as soon as
it is inserted.
Charging Indicator Lights
Troubleshooting
LED Color Description
Off No power supplied to cradle.
Green If no handheld is present in the cradle,green indicates that
there is power available. If handheld is present, green
indicates that the handheld is fully charged.
Red Handheld or battery is present in the cradle and the battery
is being charged.
Symptom
Power LED does not light
when the communications
cradle is powered on.
Charging LED stays green
when the handheld
computer is inserted.
Charging LED stays red for
more than 5 hours.
Cause
Communications cradle is
not receiving power.
Handheld is not seated
firmly in the communica-
tions cradle, or the battery
is not properly installed in
the handheld.
Battery is fully charged.
Battery faulty and can not
be charged.
Suggested Action
Make sure the power
supply is securely
connected and receiving
power.
Make sure the battery is
properly installed in the
handheld, and reseat the
handheld in the
communications cradle.
Normal status.
Replace battery with an
AML approved battery.
