2. Installation
2.1 Installing the Hard Disk Drive
1. Push thelatch on theleft hand side and hold it.

2. Draw the Control Board Tray outward
from the Aluminum housing.

3. Place a3.5" SATA hard disk driveinto the aluminumtray.

4. Slide thehard disk drive to the eSATA connnector on the Control Board.

5. Secure thehard disk drive with thefour screws found in thescrew bag as shown
in the illustration.

6. Slide theControl Board Tray back into the Aluminum body.

7. The installation is completed.

2.2 Installing the Driver (for USB
- Windows 98SE
1. Insert the driverCD into yourCD-ROM. Run Setup.exe from the rootdirectory of
the CD.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to copy the necessary files to your computer.
3. When Setuphas finished installingall the filesto your computer, it promptsyou to
restart your computer. Click OK.
4. Connect theenclosure and turn it on.
5. Open "MyComputer" to seethe enclosure.

3.3 Connecting to a PC with an eSATA Cable
1. Slide thepower switch tothe "on" position.
2. Plug eitherend of theeSATA cable foundin the packageto the eSATA port of
the enclosure.
3. Plug theother end ofthe eSATAcable to the eSATA port of the computer.
4. The cablecan be connectedor disconnected whilethe computer isrunning.
