ATTENTION!
In the event of an incorrect connection of the room controller or a short circuit in
the installation and actuators, irreparable damage to the room controller can occur.
Therefore, pay special attention during the installation and follow the instructions
carefully!
• Carefully read these instructions before starting the installation.
• Room controller Andivi must be installed according to applicable standards.
• Before any intervention, make sure the power is turned off.
CAREFUL!
Regular maintenance of convectors can avoid excessive burdens of the room
thermostat, which can lead to the destruction of it. When a building is under
construction, the bearings in the convectors can often get too dusty, which can lead
to excessively high starting current that can damage or destroy the room thermostat.

INSTALLATION
MOUNTING ON ELECTRIC BOX
MOUNTING FRONT COVER
WIRING EXAMPLE
1. Separate the back plate from the controller by loosening the cover screw.
2. Align the mounting holes on the screw holes of the electric box. Suitable is a 3-module electric box 3M, for example Gewiss
GW24203, GW24207; TEM Catez DM30, HM30. The electric box is mounted vertically.
3. Fix the back plate on the electric box by tightening the back plate screws. Suggested for use is Philips wider “truss head”
or “washer head” #6-32x 3/4”(20mm).
4. DO NOT let the bolt head rise above the wall of the mounting holes of the back plate. It might cause a short circuit of the
room controller.
1. Lock front cover on the back plate by tightening the cover screw underneath with screwdriver of Philips electronic instrument
type or similar.
All wires that come from electric box must be inserted above the retainers of respective terminal block before tightening the
captive screws.

If POWER ON/OFF button is locked, it is not possible to switch the room controller ON or OFF locally with the button. But the ON/
OFF state can be changed by the Modbus communication.
ON FUNCTION
1. If the present temperature falls under 10°C (adjustable in Engineer mode and Modbus), a Heating valve opens to 100%. This
is active always, even when the room controller is off. In the 4-Pipe system (B or C), a Heating valve on terminal 4 activates.
In the 2-Pipes system (E), a valve output on terminal 2 activates. Anti-Freezing Protection is ON by default, but it is also
switchable to OFF in the Engineer mode and Modbus.
2. If the present temperature falls under PtCF (default 10°C), a FIRE icon and a HOUSE WITH THERMOMETER will be active on
LCD.

READ INPUT REGISTER (FUNCTION CODE 04)
NOTICE:
If a value of a register is changed on the room controller (with buttons), a next write command to “this value” will be ignored,
and the room controller will not reply back anything. Those registers are:
1. Modbus Function 05,15 register address 01.
2. Modbus Function 06,16,23 register address 01~48.
For example, if users re-set the set-point value with buttons, a next Modbus command Fun.06/16/23 reg. address 01 from DDC/
BMS will be ignored and the room controller will not reply back any to DDC/BMS sent. (Note: While a value of a register is chang-
ing on the room controller (with buttons), any write command to “this value” will be ignored, but the room controller will reply
back the same data which DDC/BMS sent.)
This special strategy is integrated because registers must be changeable on both sites (master and slave).
