C5 - ClearStream 5 Antenna Assembly
The C5 was specically developed to receive low power and fringe high VHF DTV stations.
It can be used by itself or can augment an existing UHF antenna. Includes a UHF/ VHF combiner.
1. The ClearStream 5 antenna comes with:
•
1 reector
• 1VHFloopelement
• 4FiberglassSpacers
• 75ohmbalun(internal)
2. Feedthesuppliedboltsthroughthe4holesinthesquareloop
element.Connectthesquareelementtotheberglassspacers
with the bolts and tighten.

4. Assembly complete. Attach the C5 an-
tenna to any kind of mast or mount (up to 2” in
diameter) with the adjustable “U” bolt clamps.

3. Align the separating spacers and attach the reector (grid) to
thespacersbythreadingthe4boltsintothespacers.Nextattach
the 2 “U” Bolt clamps through the holes in the rear frame.

The Antennas Direct UHF/VHF
antenna combiner allows you to join
a UHF antenna and a VHF antenna
with much lower insertion loss than a
conventional splitter.
There are also filters on each input
to prevent frequency overlap between
both antennas, avoiding possible
phase cancellation.

Gain and S11 vs Frequency
Gain is a measure of an antenna’s
ability to concentrate radiated
power from a particular direction.
Unlike other antennas that claim
high peak values, The gain of the
C1 is not only extremely high but
nearly uniform across the DTV
spectrum
S11 The method used to compute
losses from impedance mismatches.
The lower the number, the better.
The efficiency of an antenna is how
much signal received by the anten-
na actually makes it to the cable.
The C5 is an extremely efficient
antenna.
At its optimum frequency, the
mismatch loss for the C5 is very low
- less than .1 dB.
