why do MrX A/V receiVers offer the
best VAlue in the receiVer MArKet?
A receiver is a space-saving, cost-effective alternative to separates (i.e. preamplifier, A/V
processor and external power amplifier). It offers everything you need to drive a music
and home theater system. One caveat! All A/V receivers are not created equal!
Anthem A/V receivers stand out from the crowd for five important reasons:
1Anthem Room Correction included with every MRX model.
2The robust quality of our amplification.
3Reference quality component parts wrapped in a sleek industrial design.
4A feature set chosen to enhance listening – no frivolous additions.
5Price! The Performance-to-Value relationship inherent in MRX receivers has been
winning accolades and awards from day one.

why AntheM rooM correction i s
the best rooM correction systeM
on the MArKet
Even when the finest speakers are perfectly positioned, the room can have a dramatic
negative impact on sound quality. Room dimensions, dead spots, archways, even
furniture, can turn a room into an additional instrument adding unwanted coloration
and resonances to sound.
ARC 1M, featuring the award-winning Anthem Room Correction (ARC) system, was
designed exclusively for MRX receivers. In minutes, ARC 1M adjusts for the room’s
effect on the speakers in a way that mimics our hearing. This way your Anthem gear
and Paradigm speakers can do what they do best — allow you to lose yourself in the
music or movie.
ARC 1M ...
• Connects quickly via ethernet.
• Offers a high level of digital signal processing that allows for incredibly precise
correction curves.
• The option to print ‘before and after’ room-measurement graphs … ARC’s
improvements will be obvious in the ‘after‘ graphs!
• Fully automated or a manual ARC setup? It’s up to you!
• Includes calibrated microphone and stand.
How does ARC 1M do what it does?
ARC 1M analyzes each speaker’s in-room response then sets output levels, crossover
frequencies and correction parameters for each.
ARC 1M applies correction for up to 7 channels plus the subwoofer.
Unlike other room correction systems, ARC allows for multiple microphone
measurements. Multiple measurements allow for peaks and nulls to be identified
providing far more accurate room correction.
ARCuracy! Your connected PC’s 64-bit floating point processor calculates the
correction curves to the n’th degree of accuracy.
Separate configurations are available for music, movies, or any other application
where more than one configuration is useful.
ARC 1M applies correction to peaks and dips in room response – a far more natural
and accurate approach.
Multiple Channels of Clean High Power – 7 channels in MRX 710 and MRX 510; 5 channels in
MRX 310 (see Technical Specs for power output numbers.)

MrX technicAl specs
Superb Anthem Amplification! MRX receivers benefit from our Advanced Load
Monitoring to keep a constant eye on output. Voltage and current are monitored to
keep output transistors within their safe operating area. A unique heatsink tunnel
helps maintain cool operation. Inside the tunnel, temperature is also monitored.
During normal use, the tunnel’s temperature is below the threshold at which its fan
needs to turn on. In demanding situations, where the temperature rises above an
initial threshold, the fan comes on at low speed. If the temperature rises above the
second threshold, the fan moves into high speed. Since the fan is designed for quiet
running and music will typically be louder, fan noise is not an issue.
This proprietary design allows MRX amplifiers not only to work harder, but work
harder for longer periods without shutting down. Only in extreme situations, where
speaker impedance is very low and the music level excessive, will the amplifier shut
down to protect itself.
