FRONT PANEL

2.1 | START 8R RECEIVER
1 POWER
Press this button on receiver front panel for 1” to turn ON/OFF the unit.
The device saves all the settings made in the receiver's internal memory.
Each time the power is turned on, the receiver will be tuned to the same
group and channel selected before the switch off.
2 CHANNEL SELECTION BUTTON
Press this button to scroll and select channels in ascending order from
1 to 8.
ATTENTION: The transmitter and the receiver must be set on the same
channel of the same band.
The receiver channel can be changed at any time with the transmitter
on or off.
3 IR WINDOW
It allows the synchronization of the channel (frequency) with the
transmitter. After choosing the desired channel, press the ASC button,
place the handheld microphone or beltpack transmitter close to this
window and wait for the selected channel to stop flashing on receiver
display. After the synchronization, the receiver's display is lit steadily on
the selected channel (frequency)..
4 ASC
Press this button to achieve automatic channel (frequency)
synchronization via infrared.
5 DISPLAY
It shows the number of the activated channel.
6 AF AND RF LEVEL INDICATORS
These LEDs respectively indicate the level of the audio signal and the
level of the radio signal.
Audio signal - AF
Steady green light: audio signal present.
Radio - RF signal
Orange light xed: RF communication present.
Light off: free channel, but no transmitter on.
7 VOLUME
Rotate this knob to adjust the desired output level.
8 ANTENNAS
Place the telescopic antennas in a vertical position for good signal
reception.
ATTENTION: during use, the antennas housed on the front must be
extracted for their entire length.
1| INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing a A.N.T - Advanced Native Technologies - product!
In START 8 wireless systems we have put our passion and our technological background
gained over the years, to offer products that meet your needs, maintaining the quality
over time.
The use of the UHF band has become increasingly complex for radio systems due to
the presence of multiple devices working on these frequencies. The START 8 radio
systems operate in the VHF range and have 8 channels on each of three specic bands:
F1 174-184MHz / F2 190-200MHz / F3 206-216MHz.
The START 8 system is equipped with a technology that introduces a pilot tone together
with the analogue audio signal, ensuring a signicant reduction of problems related to
interfering interferences. This allows you to cancel the classic problems of unwanted
opening of the squelch by the disturbances, as it happens with the normal systems,
facilitating the use for anyone.
Both version receivers implement the Diversity technology, i.e. the receivers have two
separate A/B antennas, used to select the best radio signal at any time. The antennas
are xed on receiver frontal panel but can be placed in horizontal position by means of a
joint at their base. Please, dedicate some minutes to read this instruction manual in order
to quickly achieve the best performances from this product.

1 “DC 12-18V” POWER SOCKET
Connect to this socket the supplied adapter only.
2 UNBAL
Unbalanced audio output with 6,35mm (1/4”) jack. Connect this output into an
unbalanced input of your mixer.
3 AF OUTPUT
Balanced audio output with XLR-M socket. Connect this output into a balanced
input of your mixer.
1 GRILLE
It protects the microphone capsule from impacts and/or accidental falls and it
reduces the noise of the plosive.
2 POWER ON AND BATTERY STATUS INDICATOR
GREEN: Transmitter activated (ON), charged batteries.
RED: Immediately replace the batteries.
WARNING: battery life is about 10 hours, but it may vary according to the usage
conditions.
3 ON/OFF

4 BATTERIES COMPARTMENT
To access the battery compartment unscrew the lid counterclockwise,
and screw the lid clockwise to close it.
Remove the batteries from the receiver when not in use for extended
periods.
5 IR WINDOW
It allows the synchronization of the channel (frequency) with the receiver.
After choosing the desired channel, press the ASC button, place the
bottom of the wireless microphone close to the IR window of START 8R
receiverandwaitfor theselectedchanneltostopflashingonthehandheld
display. After the synchronization, the receiver's display is lit steadily on
the selected channel (frequency).
6 ANTENNA
The antenna is integrated into the transmitter. For a proper functioning,
hold the microphone in the central part.

After choosing the desired channel, press the ASC button, place the beltpack
transmitter close to the IR window of START 8R receiver and wait for the selected
channel to stop flashing on the handset display. After the synchronization, the
receiver's display is lit steadily on the selected channel (frequency).
4 MINI XLR-M INPUT
Connected to this input the supplied PH-30 Headset or the signal of other sound
sources.
5 POWER ON AND LOW BATT
Green light: Transmitter on, charged batteries
Red light steady: Immediately replace the batteries.
6 GAIN SELECTOR
There are three different gain settings:
Mic: for supplied headset microphone and other microphones
0 dB: low output level instruments
-10dB: high output level instruments
7 BATTERIES COMPARTMENT
To replace the batteries, lightly press on the sides of the cover and lift forward. Take
out the old batteries, and insert two new batteries (respecting the compartment
icons) then close the lid. Remove the batteries from the receiver when not in use
for extended periods.
WEARING THE BELTPACK RECEIVER:
Clip the receiver to a belt or to
the shoulder strap of your guitar.
For better fastening reliability it's
preferable to secure it as shown in
the gure, then fasten it in a way
that the belt is tight from the clip..
3 | TIPS FOR BETTER USE OF THE SYSTEM
• Aim the transmitter to the receiver to achieve a “direct visual contact” between
devices, without any interposed obstacle.
• For correct operation, the antennas must be completely extended and inclined 45°
outwards. Never cover the antenna during use.
• Avoid placing the receiver near metal objects/surfaces or close to digital
equipment (CD players, computers, etc.).
• Place the receiver in such a way that is far from a wall and that is at least
1 meter (about 3 feet) above the floor.
• Cell phones, two-way radio equipment or similar devices may disturb
the radio transmission between the transmitter and the receiver, so they
should not be used close to the transmission system.
4| TROUBLESHOOTING

1 PULSANTE DI ACCENSIONE
Premete questo pulsante sul pannello frontale del ricevitore per accendere
o spegnere l’apparecchio. Il dispositivo salva nella memoria interna del
ricevitore tutti i settaggi effettuati. A ogni nuova accensione il ricevitore
risulterà sintonizzato sullo stesso gruppo e canale selezionati prima dello
spegnimento.
2 TASTO DI SELEZIONE DEL CANALE
Premete questo pulsante per scorrere e selezionare i canali in modo
crescente da 1 a 8.
ATTENZIONE: Il trasmettitore e il ricevitore devono lavorare sullo stesso
canale e nellastessa banda.Ilcambio delcanale delricevitore può avvenire
in ogni momento con trasmettitore accesso o spento.
3 FINESTRA IR
Permette la sincronizzazione del canale (frequenza) con il trasmettitore.
Dopoaverselezionatoilcanaledesiderato,premeteiltastoASCeposizionate
il microfono a mano o trasmettitore tascabile in corrispondenza di questa
nestra, poi attendete per qualche secondo che il canale selezionato smetta
di lampeggiare sul display del ricevitore. A sincronizzazione avvenuta il
display del ricevitore si ssa sul canale (frequenza) selezionato.
4 ASC
Premetequestotastoperlasincronizzazioneautomaticatramiteinfrarossi
del canale (frequenza) di ricetrasmissione.
5 DISPLAY
Indica il numero del canale attivato.
6 INDICATORE DI LIVELLO AF ED RF
Questi led indicano rispettivamente il livello del segnale audio ed il livello
del segnale radio.
Segnale audio - AF
Luce verde ssa: segnale audio presente.
Segnale radio - RF
Luce arancio ssa: comunicazione RF presente.
Luce spenta: canale libero, ma nessun trasmettitore acceso.
7 VOLUME
Ruotate questa manopola per regolare il livello di uscita desiderato.
8 ANTENNE
Collocate le antenne telescopiche in posizione verticale per una buona
ricezione del segnale.
ATTENZIONE: durante l’utilizzo le antenne alloggiate sul frontale devono
essere estratte per tutta la loro lunghezza.

Nei radiomicrofoni START 8 abbiamo profuso la nostra passione ed il nostro background
maturato nel corso degli anni per offrirvi un prodotto che soddis le vostre esigenze
e mantenga la sua qualità nel tempo. L'uso della banda UHF è diventato sempre più
complesso per i sistemi radio a causa della presenza di molteplici dispositivi che lavorano
su queste frequenze. I sistemi radio START 8 operano in gamma VHF e dispongono di
8 canali su tre bande speciche: F1 174-184MHz / F2 190-200MHz / F3 206-216MHz.
IlsistemaSTART8 è dotato di una tecnologia che introduce un tono pilota insieme al segnale
audioanalogico,garantendounanotevoleriduzionedeiproblemilegatiaidisturbidisegnali
interferenti. Questo consente di annullare i classici problemi di apertura indesiderata dello
squelch da parte dei disturbi come avviene con i normali sistemi, facilitandone l'utilizzo
per chiunque. I ricevitori di entrambe le versioni adottano la tecnologia Diversity, cioè sono
dotati di due antenne A/B separate che usano per selezionare in ogni istante il miglior
segnale radio. Le antenne sono sse sul frontalino del ricevitore ma possono essere
collocate nella posizione orizzontale per mezzo di uno snodo presente alla loro base.
Ritagliatevi qualche minuto di tempo per leggere questo manuale di istruzioni in modo
tale da ottenere rapidamente il massimo delle prestazioni da questo prodotto.

VERDE: Trasmettitore acceso (ON), batterie cariche.
ROSSO: Sostituite immediatamente le batterie.
ATTENZIONE: la durata delle batterie è di circa 10h ma varia secondo le condizioni

Premete questo pulsante per 3” per accendere o per spegnere il
radiomicrofono..
ATTENZIONE: Il trasmettitore e il ricevitore devono lavorare sullo stesso
canale e nella stessa banda.
4 VANO BATTERIE
Per accedere al vano batterie svitate il coperchio il senso antiorario e
avvitatelo in senso orario per chiuderlo.
Rimuovete le batterie dal trasmettitore in caso di non utilizzo per periodi
prolungati.
5 FINESTRA IR
Permette la sincronizzazione del canale (frequenza) con il ricevitore.
Dopoaverpremuto iltastoASC,posizionateilfondodelradiomicrofonoin
corrispondenza della nestra IR posta sul ricevitore START 8R e attendete
che il canale selezionato smetta di lampeggiare sul display del ricevitore.
A sincronizzazione avvenuta il display del ricevitore si ssa sul canale
(frequenza) selezionato.
6 ANTENNA
L’antenna è integrata nel trasmettitore. Per un corretto funzionamento
impugnare il microfono nella parte centrale.

Dopo aver premuto il tasto ASC, posizionate il trasmettitore tascabile in
corrispondenza della nestra IR posta sul ricevitore START 8R e attendete che il
canaleselezionatosmettadilampeggiaresuldisplaydelricevitore.Asincronizzazione
avvenuta il display del ricevitore si ssa sul canale (frequenza) selezionato.
4 INGRESSO MINI XLR-M
Collegate a questo ingresso l’Headset PH-30 in dotazione o il segnale di altre
sorgenti sonore.
5 INDICATORE POWER ON E BATTERIE SCARICHE
Luce verde: Trasmettitore acceso, batterie cariche.
Luce rossa ssa: sostituite immediatamente le batterie.
6 SELETTORE DI GUADAGNO
Sono possibili tre impostazioni diverse del guadagno:
Mic: per il microfono ad archetto fornito in dotazione ed altri microfoni
0 dB: strumenti con basso livello di uscita
-10dB: strumenti con forte livello di uscita
7 VANO BATTERIA
Per sostituire le batterie, premete leggermente sui lati del coperchio e sollevate in
avanti. Estraete le batterie scariche ed inseritene due nuove (rispettando la gura
nel comparto) poi chiudete il coperchio. Rimuovete le batterie dal trasmettitore in
caso di non utilizzo per periodi prolungati.
FISSARE IL TRASMETTITORE
BELT PACK:
Agganciateilricevitoreadunacinta
o alla tracolla della chitarra. Per
una migliore stabilità è preferibile
assicurarlo come mostrato nella
gura, inlandolo completamente
in modo tale che la cinta sia stretta
dalla clip.
3 | CONSIGLI PER UNA MIGLIORE UTILIZZAZIONE DEL SISTEMA
• Orientate il trasmettitore verso il ricevitore in modo che ci sia “contatto visuale
diretto” tra i dispositivi, senza alcun ostacolo frapposto.
• Per un corretto funzionamento, le antenne devono essere completamente estese
ed inclinate di 45° verso l’esterno. Non coprite mai l’antenna durante l’utilizzo
• Non collocate il ricevitore vicino a oggetti/superci metalliche o vicino
ad apparecchi digitali (lettori CD, computer, ecc.).
• Collocate il ricevitore in modo tale che non stia vicino ad una parete e
che sia ad almeno 1m di altezza dal pavimento.
• Telefoni cellulari, apparecchiature radio bidirezionali o apparecchi simili
possono disturbare il collegamento radio tra il trasmettitore e il ricevitore,
pertanto non devono essere utilizzati vicino al sistema di trasmissione.
4| SOLUZIONE DEI PROBLEMI

Non collocate il ricevitore vicino ad
oggetti metallici.
Vericate che lo spazio di
trasmissione (“contatto visivo”) tra
trasmettitore e ricevitore sia libero.
Avvicinate il trasmettitore al
ricevitore. Assicuratevi che
trasmettitore e ricevitore condividano
la stessa frequenza.
Spia rossa dello
stato delle batterie Sostituite le batterie.
Distorsioni o interferenze
indesiderate. Spia RF del ricevitore accesa.
Eliminate possibili fonti di
interferenza come ad esempio lettori
CD, computer, fonti di trasmissione
digitali, ecc.

2.1 | RÉCEPTEUR - START 8R
1 BOUTON D'ALLUMAGE
Appuyez sur ce bouton, situé sur la face avant du récepteur, pour allumer
ou éteindre l’appareil. L'appareil enregistre tous les réglages effectués
dans la mémoire interne du récepteur. À chaque mise sous tension, le
récepteur sera syntonisé sur le même groupe et le même canal que celui
sélectionné avant la mise hors tension.
2 BOUTON DE SÉLECTION DE CANAL
Appuyez sur ce bouton pour faire déler et sélectionnez les canaux de
manièrecroissante,de1à8.ATTENTION!L'émetteuretlerécepteurdoivent
travailler sur le même canal et dans la même bande. Le canal du récepteur
peut être modié à tout moment avec l'émetteur activé ou désactivé.
3 FENÊTRE IR
Elle permet d’effectuer la synchronisation du canal (fréquence) avec
l’émetteur. Après avoir sélectionné le canal, appuyez sur le bouton ASC,
positionnez le micro main ou l’émetteur de poche devant cette fenêtre et
attendez quelques secondes que le canal sélectionné cesse de clignoter
sur l’écran du récepteur. Une fois la synchronisation effectuée, l’écran du
récepteur se stabilisera sur le canal (fréquence) sélectionné.
4 ASC
Appuyez sur ce bouton pour effectuer la synchronisation (le balayage)
automatique par voie infrarouge du canal (fréquence) d’émission et de
réception.
5 ÉCRAN
Il indique le numéro du canal activé.
6 INDICATEUR DE NIVEAU AF ET RF
Ces LED indiquent respectivement le niveau du signal audio et le niveau
du signal radio.
Signal audio - AF
Lumière verte xe : présence d'un signal audio.
Signal radio - RF
Lumière orange xe : communication RF présente.
Éteint : canal libre, mais pas d'émetteur allumé.
7 VOLUME
Tournez ce bouton pour régler le niveau de sortie souhaité.
8 ANTENNES
Lesantennestélescopiquesdoiventêtrepositionnéesverticalementpour
obtenir une meilleure réception du signal.
ATTENTION : en cours d'utilisation, les antennes logées à l'avant doivent
être déployées sur toute leur longueur.

Les micros main sans l START 8 sont le fruit à la fois de notre grande passion pour
notre métier et de notre expérience pluriannuelle. Ils ont été développés pour vous offrir
un produit répondant à toutes vos exigences et attentes, tout en maintenant durablement
ses performances et sa qualité de haut niveau.
L'utilisation de la bande UHF est devenue de plus en plus complexe pour les systèmes
radio en raison de la présence de plusieurs dispositifs fonctionnant sur ces fréquences.
Les systèmes radio START 8 travaillent en VHF et disposent de 8 canaux (fréquences) sur
trois bandes spéciques : F1 174-184MHz / F2 190-200MHz / F3 206-216MHz.
Le système START 8 est équipé d'une technologie qui introduit une tonalité pilote avec
le signal audio analogique, assurant une réduction signicative des problèmes liés aux
interférences parasites. Cela permet d'annuler les problèmes classiques d'ouverture non
désirée du squelch par les parasites comme c’est le cas avec les systèmes normaux, en
facilitant l'utilisation par n'importe qui.
Les récepteurs des deux versions font appel à la technologie Diversity, c’est-à-dire qu’ils sont
dotés de deux antennes A/B séparées leur permettant de privilégier à tout instant le signal
le plus fort. Les antennes sont xes sur la face avant du récepteur, mais une articulation à
leur embase permet de les replier horizontalement.
Les quelques instants que vous consacrerez à la lecture de cette notice d’emploi vous
permettront de bien connaître ce produit A.N.T et par là même de bénécier pleinement
de ses performances.

1 BLOC D’ALIMENTATION DC 12-18V
Cette entrée sert exclusivement à brancher le bloc d’alimentation fourni.
2 UNBAL
Sortie audio asymétrique avec connecteur jack de 6,35 mm (1/4”). Cette sortie doit
être reliée à une entrée asymétrique de votre table ou pupitre de mixage.
3 AF OUTPUT
Sortie audio symétrique avec connecteur XLR-M. Cette sortie doit être reliée à une
entrée symétrique de votre table ou pupitre de mixage.
1 GRILLE
Elle protège la capsule microphonique des chocs et/ou des chutes accidentels et
réduit le bruit des «plosives».
2 INDICATEUR POWER ON ET ÉTAT DE CHARGE DES PILES
VERT : Émetteur allumé (ON), piles pleines.
ROUGE : Remplacez immédiatement les piles.
ATTENTION : la durée des piles est d’environ 10 heures. Toutefois, cette durée peut
varier en fonction des conditions d’utilisation de l’émetteur.
3 ON/OFF
Appuyez sur ce bouton pendant 3 s pour allumer ou éteindre le micro main.
ATTENTION ! L'émetteur et le récepteur doivent travailler sur le même
canal et dans la même bande.
4 COMPARTIMENTS À PILES
Pour accéder au compartiment à piles, dévissez le couvercle dans le sens
inverse des aiguilles d'une montre et vissez-le dans le sens contraire
pour le refermer.
Enlevez les piles de l’émetteur si celui-ci est destiné à rester inutilisé pour
de longues périodes.
5 FENÊTRE IR
Elle permet d’effectuer la synchronisation du canal (de la fréquence)
avec le récepteur.
AprèsavoirappuyésurleboutonASC,placezlabasedumicromaindevant
la fenêtre IR du récepteur START 8R et attendez que le canal sélectionné
cesse de clignoter sur l’écran du récepteur.
Une fois la synchronisation effectuée, l’écran du récepteur se stabilisera
sur le canal (fréquence) sélectionné.
6 ANTENNE
L'antenne est intégrée dans l'émetteur. Pour un fonctionnement correct,
tenez le microphone dans la partie centrale.

Après avoir appuyé sur le bouton ASC, positionnez l’émetteur de poche devant la
fenêtre IR du récepteur START 8R et attendez que le canal sélectionné cesse de
clignoter sur l’écran du récepteur. Une fois la synchronisation effectuée, l’écran du
récepteur se stabilisera sur le canal (fréquence) sélectionné.
4 ENTRÉE MINI XLR-M
Cette entrée doit être reliée à l’Headset PH-30 fourni ou au signal d’autres sources
audio.
5 INDICATEUR POWER ON ET ÉTAT DE CHARGE DES PILES
Vert : émetteur allumé (ON), piles pleines.
Rouge xe : remplacez immédiatement les piles.
6 SÉLECTEUR DE GAIN
Trois différents pré-réglages du gain sont possibles :
Mic : pour le micro serre-tête fourni et d’autres types de micros
0 dB : instruments à bas niveau de sortie
-10dB : instruments à niveau de sortie élevé
7 COMPARTIMENTS À PILES
Pour remplacer les piles, appuyez légèrement sur les côtés du couvercle et soulevez-
le vers l'avant. Enlevez les piles déchargées, mettez en place des piles neuves (en
respectant la polarité indiquée sur la gure présente dans le compartiment) et
refermez le couvercle. Enlevez les piles de l’émetteur si celui-ci est destiné à rester
inutilisé pour de longues périodes.
FIXATION DE L’ÉMETTEUR
BELTPACK :
Accrochez le récepteur à une
ceintureouà la sangle de laguitare.
Pour une meilleure attache, faites
glisser entièrement le clip sur la
ceinture ou la sangle comme le
montrent la gure.
3 | CONSEILS POUR UNE MEILLEURE UTILISATION DU SYSTÈME
• Orientez l’émetteur vers le récepteur de manière à avoir un «contact visuel direct»
entre les dispositifs sans l’interposition d’obstacles.
• Pour un bon fonctionnement, les antennes doivent être complètement déployées
et inclinées de 45° vers l'extérieur. Ne couvrez jamais l'antenne pendant l'utilisation
• Ne placez pas le récepteur à proximité d’objets/de surfaces métalliques ou d’appareils
numériques (lecteurs CD, ordinateur, etc.).
• Placez le récepteur à au moins 1 m de hauteur du sol et à l’écart de toute
paroi ou tout mur.
• Évitez d’utiliser des téléphones mobiles ou portables, des appareils radio
bidirectionnels ou d’autres appareils similaires qui peuvent perturber
la connexion radio entre l’émetteur et le récepteur, près du système de
transmission.
4| DÉPANNAGE

même fréquence.

Éliminez les sources
d’interférence possibles,
comme par exemple lecteurs
