General
The SwitchBox-comp allows switching ON and OFF of a electronic device by sing the ''composite
video signal".
Please read this man al caref lly and completely before initial operation, it describes the assigned
se and contains important information abo t the installation/operation of the SwitchBox-comp.
The man fact rer ass mes no liability for conseq ences of sage violation, all warranty claims
omitted.
Use of the SwitchBox-comp
The SwitchBox-comp is intended for switching of resistive and ind ctive loads p to max. 2000W
(230V / 8.5A) in dry and closed ho sing space and offices. Activation may only be set p by sing
the video or a dio signal ( p to max. 3VDC). Operating instr ctions of the connected electronic
devices and their safety reg lations m st be respected.
Safety Instructions
Do not open the SwitchBox-comp. It contains no parts to be serviced by yo .
Only se the SwitchBox-comp indoors and do not s bject the nit to moist re or h midity.
Only connect the SwitchBox-comp to properly installed 230V AC o tlets.
Only clean the exterior of the SwitchBox-comp with a dry cloth after npl gging it from the
electrical o tlet and removal of the interface cable.
Only clean the exterior of the SwitchBox-comp with a dry cloth after npl gging it from the
electrical o tlet and removal of the interface cable.
Do not se the SwitchBox-comp in areas sed by children
Do not connect the SwitchBox-comp to a comp ter that is already switched on. This can lead
to comp ter components becoming damaged or destroyed.
Do not se the SwitchBox-comp if one or several parts (case, cable, pl g) are damaged or
damage may be ca sed by its location (e.g., falling down).
The SwitchBox-comp may only be repaired by a thorized service personnel.
Only connect electrical appliances that have no limit to their switched-on time (i.e. all
connected electrical appliances m st be able to take contin o s c rrent witho t s staining
damage in the case of a defa lt to the permanently ''ON'' position).

Caution:
The load circ it is switched abo t a single-pole electrical relay, therefore even when the
SwitchBox-comp o tlet is switched to off there can still be a mains voltage on one of the
o tlet sockets!!
Very fast ON/OFF switching seq ences can be controlled with the SwitchBox-comp. The
d ration of the switching cycles is to be adj sted to the controlled device. Not all electronic
devices tolerate rapid switching seq ences.
Package Content:
1 pcs. SwitchBox-comp
(optional) 1 pcs. Connector cable:
-Cinch connector cable with 2 connectors
-or connector cable scart <--> Cinch
-or Y-cable for connecting two video-/a dio so rces

electronic evice to be switche hereafter referre as "TV" →controlling evice (satellite
or cable receiver, DVD player, VCR) hereafter referre to as "control unit"→
T rn OFF the switched on TV by the mains switch.
Insert the mains pl g of the TV into the SwitchBox-comp.
Connect the SwitchBox-comp and the control nit by sing a cinch cable (composite video
o tp t of yo r satellite or cable receiver, DVD, VCR).
Insert the SwitchBox-comp into a 230V electrical o tlet.
As soon as the control nit is switched ON the SwitchBox-comp switches ON the connected
TV (signalled by the green Led of the SwitchBox-comp).
When the control nit is switched OFF the SwitchBox-comp switches OFF the connected TV
as well (the green LED of the SwitchBox-comp does not light p). Depending on the control
nit a switching delay of p to 5 seconds may occ r).
If more than one electronic device has to be switched in parallel (e.g. TV an dolby s rro nd
amplifier an s b-woofer an similar) these devices can be connected to the SwitchBox-comp by
sing an appropriate m ltiple socket.
