General
The SwitchBox-plus allows the ON/OFF switching of a 230V electronic device via a low
voltage switch. The circuit of this switch is electricall isolated from the 230V mains with safe
operator protection.
Before first use of the SwitchBox-plus, please read this instruction manual or the help file
(found on our homepage). It contains information for the correct use and contains important
tips for the installation of the SwitchBox-plus. The manufacturer does not accept an liabilit
due to improper use of the unit. In this case all guarantee claims are invalid.
Use of the SwitchBox-plus
The SwitchBox-plus is intended for switching of resistive and inductive loads up to maximum
10A at 115V or 230V (please see label!) in dr and closed housing space and offices. Activation
b closing or opening of the control switching circuit onl . Operating instructions of the
connected electronic devices and their safet regulations must be respected.
Safety Instructions
Do not open the SwitchBox-GSM. It contains no parts to be serviced b ou.
Onl use the SwitchBox-GSM indoors and do not subject the unit to moisture or
humidit .
Onl connect the SwitchBox-GSM to properl installed 230V AC outlets.
Onl clean the exterior of the SwitchBox-GSM with a dr cloth after unplugging it
from the electrical outlet and removal of the interface cable.
Do not overload the SwitchBox-GSM above its load specification level. An
overload can lead to the SwitchBox-GSM being destro ed.
Do not use the SwitchBox-GSM in areas used b children.
Do not connect the SwitchBox-GSM to a computer that is alread switched on.
This can lead to computer components becoming damaged or destro ed.
Do not use the SwitchBox-GSM if one or several parts (case, cable, plug) are
damaged or damage ma be caused b its location (e.g., falling down).
The SwitchBox-GSM ma onl be repaired b authorized service personnel.
Onl connected electrical appliances that have no limit to their switched-on time
(i.e. all connected electrical appliances must be able to take continuous current
without sustaining damage in the case of a default to the permanentl “ON”
position).
aution
The load circuit is switched about a single-pole electrical rela , therefore even when the
SwitchBox-plus outlet is switched to off there can still be a mains voltage on one of the
outlet sockets!
The control circuit of the SwitchBox-plus can onl be closed or opened, do not set
external control voltage.
Ver fast ON/OFF switching sequences can be controlled with the SwitchBox-plus. The
duration of the switching c cles is to be adjusted to the controlled device. Not all
