5. DVR Function
The device comes standard with an 8 GB Micro SD card pre-installed. SD cards up to 32 GB capacity are supported.
Once powered on, the device will continuously record. Once it fills the SD card it will overwrite the oldest videos with
new ones so that the SD card always contains the newest recordings. The recordings are stored in files of around 3
minute’s duration each.
As a guide, different sized SD cards will hold the following amounts of video recordings;
8 GB 2 hours
16 GB 4 hours
32 GB 8 hours
To replay stored videos, remove the SD card and insert into a card reader attached to a Windows computer. Open
Windows Explorer and navigate to the SD card. It will appear empty except for an executable file called ‘ADRPlayer. exe’.
Double clicking on this file will start the playback software.
Note: Do not remove or insert any SD card while the device is powered on as it may damage and corrupt the card as well
as the files stored on it. Please ensure the device is powered off first.
Typical installation. 01) Dash Cam 02) Power cable secured with cable clamps. 03) Plugged into power socket.

8. Menu Options
Video Size – there are 2 formats available. VGA (640 x 360 dpi) and HD (1280 x 720). HD is the default setting.
Switching to VGA will reduce the resolution and quality of the recorded video however this mode allows for
increased storage.
Time Setup – the format is YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS and is automatically set to Greenwich time as derived from
the satellite signals.
Format – Used to format the SD card. This action will remove all files from the card and there is no way to
recover them once the action has been completed.
Audio Record – used to turn the microphone on or off.
Language – Select from English (default) and Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
LCD Default – the settings are; Always On (screen never dims), 30 Seconds (screen dims 30 seconds after power
on and 60 Seconds (screen dims 60 seconds after power on).
G-Sensor – Adjusts the sensitivity of the G-Sensor. This determines at what level ‘shock’ the video is triggered to
lock mode so it cannot be erased. Settings are Low, Normal, High and Disable. High requires the smallest shock,
while Low requires a significant event to occur. Disable turns the sensor off.
GPS Time Zone – use this to set the device to the local time zone. Eastern Time (USA) is GMT -05:00 while Pacific
Standard Time is GMT -08:00
Motion Detection Mode – this feature will be activated in future firmware releases.

9. Video Playback
To play the recorded files on a PC, remove the SD card and connect to a computer (Mac not supported at this time).
Open the SD card using Windows Explorer and double click on the file named ADRPlayer.exe.
The following screen will appear.
10. Disclaimer
The device will continue to record video files as long as it can overwrite older non-locked files. However, if the SD card
fills up with locked files, the device will not be able to record any further videos and all new footage will be lost.
It is very important that the SD cards are periodically cleared and reformatted.

11. Tracking Function
11.1 Registering your device on the Anytrek portal
Before the tracking functionality of this device can be used, it has to be registered on the Anytrek portal. This can be
accomplished by going to www.guardian.anytrek.com.
If this is your first Anytrek product, click on
‘Don’t have an account’ to go to the
account creation screen.
The important step here is to make sure
you enter the 14 digit Device ID. You can
find this either on the bottom of the box
the device came in, or on top of the
tracker itself.
Once all the data has been entered and
verified, your tracker will be automatically
allocated to your new account and the
main portal screen will appear on your
screen.
Please download the portal User Manual
for detailed instructions on how to
navigate and configure your tracker portal.
Install your tracker and apply power to it. The 2 LED’s on the side of the device will go through a sequence as the
device does a self-check and then connects to the 3G network. The blue LED represents the status of the cellular
modem inside the device. While it’s flashing slowly it’s searching for the 3G network and when it starts to flash
quickly it has found the network and connected.

11.2 Service Plans
The tracker is connected to the Anytrek servers via a built-in 3G cellular modem. Just like cellular phones, it requires a
paid up plan in order to be able to communicate.
Anytrek offers different plan periods and payment methods to customers. Should the payments fall in arrears, the
cellular modem will be disabled by the provisioning telco, however the device will continue to function as a quality dash
cam, with all the normal functions still in place.
