
Fitting the RU2700 recording option to the AR2700 receiver
The fitting is recommended to be carried out in an experienced specialist receiver
workshop.
1. Removetherear batterycompartment cover
fromthe AR2700 receiver.
2. Removethebatteries (if fitted).
3. Removethetwo black selftapping screws
fromthe lowersectionofthebattery
compartment. Storeina safe place.
4. Removethe two screwsfromtheboththe
left&right sidepanels(only therearcase
halfscrews needberemoved).
5. Easethetwo casehalves apart, becareful not
tostrain the speakerconnecting wires.
Unplugthe speakerconnecting plugfromthe
PCB.
Thefrontcase halfcomprisesof theLCD,keypad,
side keys & speaker.
Therearcase halfcomprisesof thetoppanel, I.F.PCB,
R.F.PCB andbattery compartment.
6. TheI.F.PCBneedsto be removed,be careful notto
damagethe battery connectingleads astheyare
solderedinplace.
Pulloffthe threeknobsfor theVOL,SQL & DIALand
removethe three lockingnuts usingapair oflong nosed
pliersetc.
7. Removethetwo (long)selftapping screwswhich are
holdingthebottom edgeofthe I.F.PCB.
8. LifttheI.F. PCB clearof the cabinet(startby liftingthebottom oftheI.F.PCBso that
thecontrolswill passbackward through thetop panel holes). TheDC leads remain
attachedtothe I.F.PCB sobecareful torestrictmovement toaminimum.
9. Turnthe I.F.PCB up-side-downand referto thediagramoverleaf...
