PART1. BEFOREUSINGTHE APPLIANCE
SafetyInstructions
•Ifthe modelcontainsR600a-seenameplateunderrefrigerant(thecoolantisobutane),
naturalsgasthat, is veryenvironmentallyfriendlybut alsocombustible.When
transporting andinstallingtheunitcaremustbetaken toensurethatnoneofthe
refrigerationcircuitcomponentsbecomedamaged.Intheeventofdamageavoid
nakedflamesorignitionsourcesand ventilatetheroomin whichthe unitisplaced
forafewminutes.
Warning: Keepventilationopeningsinapplianceenclosureorinstructureforbuilding
in,clearofobstruction.
•Donotusemechanicaldevicesorotherartificial meanstoaccelerate thedefrosting
process.
•Donotuseelectricalappliancesinthe refrigeratororfreezercompartmentofthe
appliance.
•If thisapplianceistoreplacean oldrefrigeratorwithalock;breakor removethe lock
asasafetymeasurebeforestoringit,toprotectchildren whileplayingmight lock
themselvesinside.
•Oldrefrigeratorsand freezerscontaininsulationgasesandrefrigerant,whichmust
be disposed ofproperly.Entrustthe disposal of ascrapunitcategoricallyto

Recommendations
Warning: Donotusemechanicaldevicesorothermeanstoaccelerate thedefrosting
process,otherthan thoserecommended bythe manufacturer.Donot useelectrical
appliancesinsidethe food storagecompartmentsof theappliance,unlesstheyareofthe
type recommended bythe manufacturer.Keep ventilation openings,in the appliance
enclosureorinthebuilt-instructure,clearofobstruction. Donotdamagetherefrigerant

intothefreezerespecially gassyliquidsastheycould causethe
containertoburstduringfreezing.
•Bottlesthatcontainahighpercentageofalcohol mustbesealed
welland placedvertically in therefrigerator.
•Donottouchthecooling surfaces,especiallywithwethandsasyou
couldbe burntorhurt.
•Donot eatice,whichhave justbeen removed fromthefreezer.
•Ifthesupply cordisdamageditmustbereplacedbythemanufacturerorservice
agentorappointedqualifiedperson.
•Theapplianceisnotintended forusebypeople(includingchildren)withreduced
physical,sensoryormentalcapabilities,orlackofexperienceandknowledge,unless
theyhavebeengivensupervisionorinstructionconcerninguseoftheapplianceby
apersonresponsiblefortheirsafety.Childrenshouldbesupervised toensurethat
theydon’t playwith theappliance.
•Ifthesupply cordisdamageditmustbereplacedbythemanufacturerorservice

BeforeSwitchingOn
•Waitafter3hoursbeforeplugging theapplianceinto themainpower
toensureproperperformance.
•Therecan beanodour whenyoufirst switchon theappliance. It will
disappearaftertheappliancestartstocool.
Installation andSwitching OnTheAppliance
• This applianceis connecting to220-240Vor200-230Vand50Hz.Pleasecheck
nameneplate ofapplianceand besurevoltagerangesuitabletoyourmains voltage.
• Youcanofferhelpfromtheservicetoinstallandswitchingon theappliance.
•Beforemakingtheconnectiontothepowersupply,ensurethatthe voltageonthe
nameplatecorrespondstothe voltageofelectricalsysteminyourhome.
•Ifthesocketdoesnotmatchtherefrigeratorplug, replacetheplug with asuitableone
(atleast 16A)
• Insert theplugintoasocket withanefficientgroundconnection.
If the sockethasnogroundcontactortheplugdoesnot match,
wesuggestyoutocallanauthorised electricianforassistance.
• Theplugshouldbeaccessibleafter the applianceispositioned.
•Manufacturerisnot responsibleforfailuretocompletethe
groundconnection asdescribed inthisbooklet.
• Donot placethe applianceindirectsunlight.
• Donot useinopen airandshallnotbeexposedto therain.
• Placetherefrigeratorfarfromheat sourcesand ina
well-ventilated position.Therefrigeratorshould beatleast50
cmfromradiators,gasorcoalstovesand5cmfarfrom electrical
stoves.
• Keepthetopfreeforat least15cm.
• Fittheplasticwallspacersto thecondenseratthebackofthe
refrigeratorin ordertoprevent leaning tothe wall for good
performance.
• Donot placeheavy andlotsof thingson theappliance.
• Ifthe applianceisinstallednexttoanotherrefrigeratororfreezer,
observeaminimumdistanceof2cm topreventcondensation.
•Theappliancemustbestandfirmlyandlevelonthe floorUse
the twofrontlevelling-feet to compensateforanevenfloor.
•Theoutsideof theapplianceand theaccessoriesinsideshouldbe cleanedwitha
solutionof waterand liquidsoap;theinsideoftheappliancewithsodium bicarbonate
dissolvedinlukewarmwater. Afterdryingreplacealltheaccessories.

ThermostatSetting
Freezerthermostatautomaticallyregulatestheinsidetemperatureofthe compartments.
Byrotating theknobfromposition1to5,coldertemperaturescanbe obtained.
Freezer&RefrigeratorThermostatSetting;
0: Nocooling.Internallightwillbe OFF;
-Greenlamp“ ”willlight;
-Redlamp“ ”will lightacertainduration afteryouset“0”position.
1 – 2 : Forshort-termstorage offoodinthe freezercompartment, youcan setthe
knobbetweenminimumand mediumposition.
3– 4 : Forlong-termstorageof food in thefreezer compartment,you canset knob
mediumposition.
5: Forfreezingthefreshfood.Theappliancewillworklonger.Soafteryouget
thecoldconditionyoumustpositiontopreviousposition.
FREEZER&REFRIGERATORTHERMOSTAT
Yourfridge is designedtooperate intheambienttemperatureintervalsstatedin the
standards,accordingtotheclimateclassstatedintheinformationlabel.Wedonot
recommend operatingyourfridgeout ofstated temperaturesvaluelimitsintermsof
coolingeffectiveness.

THERMOSTATCONTROL

a)Superfreezing: Ifambient temparatureis morethan 18°C,Thisswitchcanbe used
assuperfreezeswitch.
Superfreezeswitchshould beusedforfreezingthefreshfoodorwhentheRED
lamponthehead panelis ON.(REDlampontheheadpanel becomesON
whenthereisinsufficient cooling).
Theappliancewillworklongerwhenyou activatethisswitch.Soafteryougetthe
coldcondition(ortheRed lampontheheadpanelisoff)you mustreturnto
previous position.
Atthe ambienttemperaturemorethan 18°C,ifsuperfreezingfunctiondoesn’t
wanttobeused,itmustalways beset toOFF position.
b)Lowambientperformance: Ifambient temparatureis lessthan18°C,thisswitch
canalsobe used asalowambientswitchforgood lowambientperformence.
Inlowambienttemperatures,thisswitchheatsthefridgeparttopreventextra
cooling/freezing.

When the “SuperSwitch”operation is on(SuperSwitchison-1
position), theorangelampwillturnon.
Whentheappliance isconnectedto thepowersupply,thegreen lamp
onthe displaypanelwillturnon automatically.
Whenthefreezercompartmentis notcoldenough,thered lampwill
turnon.Setthe superswitch“1”positionuntil theredlampisoff.Afteryouget
thecoldconditionyoumustpositionto“0”position.
Turning OnTheAppliance
Oncethe appliance hasbeenconnectedtothe powersupplymake sure that theGREEN
lampison. Then turnthethermostatdialto position“5”(maxposition)andswitchthe
superswitchONuntil theREDlampisoff(Note that;forbestinternaltemperaturethe
indicatorinthe thermostatshouldbepositionedbetween 2and4.)
•When youfirstswitch on theappliance, forstarting asuitablecooling,the appliance
should workwithin 24hourscontinuouslyuntilit cools downto sufficient
temperature.
•Inthistimedonot open thedoorsooften andplace alotoffoodinsidethe
appliance.
•Iftheunitis switchedofforunplugged,youmustallowatleast5minutesbefore
restartingorre-plugged theunitinordernotto damagethecompressor.

Icetray
•Fill the icetraywithwaterand placeinfreezer compartment.
•Afterthe watercompletelyturnedintoice,youcan twistthe trayasshownbelowtoget
the icecube.
Bottleholder
•Inordertoprevent thebottlestosliporfall overyoucanusethebottle
holder.You canalsopreventmakingnoisethatwillbe done when
you openorclosethedoor.

RefrigeratorCompartment
• Toreducehumidityandconsequent increase offrostnever placeliquidsinunsealed
containersintherefrigerator.Frosttendsto concentratein thecoldestpartsofthe
evaporatorandintimewillrequiremorefrequentdefrosting.
• Neverplacewarmfood intherefrigerator.Warmfoodshouldbeallowedtocoolat
roomtemperatureandshouldbearrangedtoensureadequateaircirculationinthe
refrigeratorcompartment.
• Nothingshouldtouch torefrigeratorback wall asitwillcausefrostandthepackages
can stickhere. Do notopentherefrigeratordoortoofrequently.
• Arrangethe meat andcleaned fish(wrappedinpackagesorsheetsof plastic)which
youwill usein1-2days.
• Youcanput thefruitsandvegetablesintocrisperwithoutpacking.

FreezerCompartment
• Theuseoffreezeris,storingofdeep-frozenorfrozenfoodforlong periodsoftimeand
makingicecubes.
• Donot putfreshandwarmfoodto thefreezerdoorshelvestobefrozen.Only usefor
storageof frozen food.
• Donot putfreshandwarmfoodwithfrozenfoodsidebysideasitcanthawthefrozen
food.
•Whilefreezing freshfood(i.e.meat,fishandmincemeat) dividethemin partsyou will
usein onetime.
•Forstoringthefrozenfood; theinstructionsshownon frozenfoodpackagesshould
alwaysbefollowedcarefully andifnoinformationisprovidedfoodshouldnotbe
stored formorethan3monthsfromthepurchaseddate.
•When buying frozen food ensurethatthesehavebeen frozen atsuitable temperatures
andthat thepackingisintact.
•Frozenfoodshouldbe transportedin appropriatecontainerstomaintainthequality
of the food andshouldbereturned tothefreezingsurfacesof theunitintheshortest
possibletime.
•Ifapackageoffrozenfoodshowsthesign ofhumidityandabnormal swellingitis
probablethatithasbeenpreviouslystored atanunsuitabletemperatureandthatthe
contentshavedeteriorated.
•The storage lifeoffrozenfood dependsontheroomtemperature,thermostat setting,
howoftenthedooris opened,thetypeof food andthelength oftimerequiredto
transport theproductfromthe shopto yourhome.Alwaysfollowthe instructions
printedonthepackageandneverexceedthe maximumstoragelifeindicated.
•Usethefastfreezing shelftofreezehomecooking(andthefoodwhich iswantedto
freeze)morequickly becauseofthefreezingroom’s greaterfreezingpower.Fast
freezing shelvesarethemiddledrawersof the freezercompartment
(seeinpage43)

PART4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Disconnectunitfromthepowersupplybeforecleaning.
• Donot cleanthe appliancebypouringwater.
• Therefrigerator andfreezercompartmentshould becleaned
periodicallyusing asolutionof bicarbonateof sodaand
lukewarm water
• Cleantheaccessoriesseparately withsoapandwater.
Donot cleantheminthewashingmachine.
• Donot useabrasive products, detergentsorsoaps.After
washing,rinsewithcleanwateranddrycarefully.When
thecleaningoperationshavebeen completed reconnect
the plugof theunitwith dryhands.
• Youshouldclean thecondenser(backof theappliance)
withbroomonesayearinordertoprovideenergy saving
andincreasetheproductivity.
THEPOWERSUPPLYMUSTBEDISCONNECTED.
Defrosting refrigeratorcompartment
•Defrostingoccursfully automaticallyinrefrigeratorcompartmentduringoperation;
thedefrostedwatercollectedbythe evaporating trayandevaporatesautomatically.
•The evaporating trayandwaterdrain hole(backof the refrigeratorcrispershelf)
should becleanedperiodically to prevent thewaterfromcollectingonthe bottomof
therefrigeratorinsteadofflowing out.

Defrosting Freezercompartment
•Thefrost,whichcoverstheshelvesofthefreezercompartment,shouldberemoved
periodically.
•Donotusesharpmetalobjectsforthis operation.Theycould puncturethe refrigerator
circuitand causeirreparabledamagetothe unit.Usetheplastic scraper provided.
•When thereismorethan5mmof frostontheshelves,defrostingmustbedone.
•Beforedefrostingoperation,placethefrozenfoodinacoolplaceafterwrapping them
insheetsofnewspaperinordertoobtain itstemperaturesteadyforlongtime.
•Toacceleratethedefrostingprocess placeone ormorebasinsofwarmwaterin
thefreezercompartment.
•Drytheinside of thecompartmentwithasponge oracleancloth.
•Oncetheunithasbeendefrosted,placethefoodintofreezerandrememberto
consumetheminashortperiodoftime.
ReplacingtheRefrigeratorLightBulb
1. Unplugthe unitfromthepowersupply,
2. Removethe refrigeratorlightcover(A)bypressingthe
hooksplacedbothsidesofthecover.
3. Changethe presentlight bulb(B) with anewone (not
morethan15W).
4. Place thelight coverinitsplaceand plug theunit.

INSTALLATION POSITION
Transportation and ChangingofInstallationPosition
• Theoriginalpackagesandfoamedpolystyrene (PS) canbeconcealedifrequired.
•Intransportationtheapplianceshouldbetiedwithawidestripeor astrong rope.The
ruleswrittenon thecorrugated boxmustbeapplied whiletransporting.
•Beforetransporting orchanging oldinstallationposition,allthemoving objects(i.e.,
shelves,crisper…)shouldbetaken outorfixedwithbandsinordertopreventthe
shake.
ChangingofDoorOpeningDirection
Incaseyou need tochange door-openingdirection,pleaseconsultthe domesticafter
salesservice.

PART6. BEFORECALLING YOUR AFTERSALES SERVICE
Ifyourrefrigeratorisnotworkingproperly,itmaybeaminor problem,thereforecheckthe
following,beforecallinganelectriciantosavetimeandmoney.
Whattodoifyourappliancedoesnotoperate;
Check that;
•Thereisno power,(Greenlampis off)
•Thegeneralswitchinyourhomeis disconnected,
•Thethermostatsettingison«0»position,
•Thesocketisnotsufficient. Tocheckthis,plug inanotherappliancethatyou know
whichisworking intothesamesocket.
Whattodoifyourapplianceperformspoorly;(Redlampison)
Check that;
•You haveoverloadedtheappliance,
•Thethermostat settingis“1”position(ifsosetthethermostatdialsuitablevalue)

•Thedoorsareclosedperfectly,
•Thereisnodustonthecondenser,
•Thereisenoughplaceat therearandsidewalls.
Ifthereisnoise;
Thecoolinggaswhichcirculatesintherefrigeratorcircuitmaymakeaslightnoise(bubbling
sound)even when thecompressorisnot running.Donotworrythis isquitenormal.If
thesesoundsaredifferentcheckthat;
•Theapplianceiswelllevelled
•Nothingistouching therear.
•Thestuffsontheappliancearevibrating.
Ifthereis waterinthelowerpartoftherefrigerator,
Check that;
•Thedrain hole fordefrostwaterisnotclogged(Usedefrostdrainplugto cleanthe
drainhole)
Recommendations
•Iftheapplianceisnotusedforlongtime(forexampleduringthesummerholidays)
unplug andclean theapplianceand leavethe door open topreventthe formation of
mildewandsmell.
•Tostoptheappliancecompletely,unplugfrommainsocket (forcleaningand when
thedoorsareleftopen)
