•Invisible/Eyesafe Class 1 Laser
The Apresys eXpert Laser Rangefinder uses an invisible laser beam for measurement. In simplified
terms, it calculates the time it takes the laser beam to travel to the target and back. Laser reflectivity
and accuracy of the results may vary according to climatic and environmental conditions, as well as
the color, surface finish, size, shape, and other characteristics of the target.
Distance and accuracy of the measurements may be increased by the following conditions:
•Overcast weather
•Bright-colored target
•Target with reflective surface
•Large size target
•Angle of the laser beam to the target is equal, or close to, 90°

Distance and accuracy (or even failure) of the measurements may be decreased by the following
conditions:
•Non-reflective target surface
•Diffusive reflective target surface
•Dark-colored target
•Low visibility conditions (snow, rain, or fog)
•Target measured through glass
•Obscured target
1. Monocular objective lens / Laser detector aperture

Internal Display
1. Unit of measure (meters/yards)
2. Laser activation mark
3. Unit of measure for selected data display (meters/yards/degrees)
4. Selected data display (horizontal distance/vertical distance/slope angle)
5. Indication of Golf/Flag mode selected
6. Indication of Hunting mode selected
7. Low power indicator
8. Aiming reticule
9. Line of sight distance display
*The display of this product is magnified by the high magnification of the eyepiece. Although the display
is produced using the most advanced technology available, it is impossible to completely illuminate dust.
As a result, some dust particles may be seen through the eyepiece. This will not affect measurement
accuracy or environmental rating of the product.
Measurement data selection
*The line of sight distance will always display at the top of the display.
1. Turn on the power by briefly pressing the ▲button (confirm that the display is on by looking
through the eyepiece).
2. Press and hold (approx. 3 sec) the MODE button to cycle through available options
Indicates slope angle (degrees)
Indicates vertical distance between level (0° slope) and point of
measurement (yards/meters)
Indicates horizontal (angle adjusted) distance to point of
measurement (yards/meters)

Target Priority (Hunting/Golf) Mode selection
1. Turn on the power by briefly pressing the ▲button (confirm that the display is on by looking
through the eyepiece).
2. Briefly press the MODE button to switch between Distant Target Priority / Hunting ( ) and Close
Target Priority / Golf ( ) mode. When neither icon is illuminated, standard mode is in effect and no
special priority will be assigned.
Distant Target Priority / Hunting mode will disregard close
obstructions such as brush and tree branches when calculating
range. If two overlapping objects are measured, the distance to
the farther object will be displayed.
Close Target Priority / Golf mode will give priority to closer
targets while disregarding a possibly stronger return from
larger background. If two overlapping objects are measured,
the distance to the closest object will be displayed.
Units of measure and Saved data selection
The Apresys eXpert Laser Rangefinder can display the measurement data in either meters or yards. It
will also record the last 100 measurements (in Single mode only) to be recalled at a later time.
1. Turn on the power by briefly pressing the ▲button (confirm that the display is on by looking
through the eyepiece).
2. Press and hold the MODE button. Within 2 seconds (and while holding down the MODE button)
press the ▲button to cycle through Meters (M), Yards (Y), and Saved (DATA) options. Release the
MODE button to choose the option currently showing on the display.
3. In the Saved (DATA) mode, the ▲button will display the latest saved readings (100 →01). The
MODE button will display the oldest saved readings (01 →100). To exit the Saved (DATA) mode,
press and hold the ▲button for approx. 2 seconds.
Changing the battery
The Apresys eXpert Laser Rangefinder uses 3V CR2 (x1) battery.
1. Open the battery compartment cover.
2. Replace the old 3V CR2 Lithium battery with a new one (ensure that the negative terminal of the
battery is inserted first).
3. Close the battery compartment cover.
Measurement
1. Install a battery in the battery compartment (See “Changing the battery”)
2. Turn on the power by briefly pressing the ▲button (confirm that the display is on by looking
through the eyepiece).
3. Adjust the diopter to obtain a clear display through the eyepiece.

4. Confirm that each mode and setting is correct (refer to the relevant sections of this manual).
5. Position the target in the center of the aiming reticule.
5.1. For Single measurement mode, press and release the ▲button. The result will display
momentarily and stored in memory.
5.2. For Scan / Continuous measurement mode, press and hold the ▲button while slowly moving
the rangefinder from one target to next. The results will refresh as each new data is obtained,
but will not be stored in memory.
