THREE SIMPLE STEPS TO UPGRADE YOUR NOTEBOOK HARD DRIVE
STEP 1: Slide the new hard drive into the EZ Upgrade enclosure, using the included
USB cables, connect the EZ Upgrade to the notebook’s USB port.
STEP 2: Run EZ Gig II’s cloning utility by booting to the CD, follow the prompts.
STEP 3: Finally, install the new hard drive into the notebook.
Once the new drive is installed, the old drive can be used in EZ Upgrade’s Hi-Speed USB 2.0
enclosure for external storage. When used with EZ Gig II, the external drive becomes a state-
of-the-art backup solution.

DiskImageistheidealbackuptool. EZGigIIcreatesacompressed“image”ofanentireharddrive,
or an individual partition of a hard drive. Disk Image can compress data up to 1/2 its original size,
allowing backups to be made to a smaller hard drive, or multiple backups to a large hard drive. EZ
Gig II also provides password protection for backup images, a comments eld so each image can
be labeled and easily identied, and verication that the image is complete. The EZ Gig II allows
restoration of individual les or folders.

a new hard drive via Hi-Speed USB 2.0 (USB 1.1 Compatible) for upgrading
Serial ATA (SATA) notebook hard drives.
Allows the old hard drive to be redeployed in EZ Upgrades Hi-Speed USB 2.0
enclosure. When used with the included EZ Gig II Upgrade & Backup soft-
ware, the external drive becomes a full-featured backup system.

EZ Gig II gives the user two options to upgrade and backup their data, Disk
Clone for upgrading or creating a Disaster Recovery clone, and the Disk
Image, perfect for creating compressed images of your entire hard drive.
