4. Installation
The pump should be positioned in a dry pla e. Care should be taken to ensure that water annot enter the pump
when, for instan e, it is swit hed off for aquarium maintenan e or during a power failure. There are two methods
of installation:
- above the water level – see Fig. A below
- below the water level. In this ase, a reliable non-return valve must be fitted in the air line – see Fig. B
below.
Ensure that the power plug an easily be rea hed at any time.

5. Maintenance/Cleaning
The pump is onstru ted for long-term low-maintenan e operation. The only item requiring regular attention is
the air filter. The air filter is positioned at the top of the pump. This otton filter has to be hanged at regular
intervals dependant on the quality of ambient air. To hange the filter, undo the se uring s rew, remove the
plasti ap, remove the ontaminated filter pad, fit a genuine Aqua Medi repla ement and repla e the ap,
finally repla ing the se uring s rew.
6. Failures
The pump is onstru ted for long-term low maintenan e operation. In ase of a de rease in air apa ity that is
not remedied by repla ing the air filter, it will be ne essary to repla e the membrane inside the pump.
7. Warranty
Should any defe t in materials or workmanship be found within 24 months of the date of pur hase AB Aqua
Medi undertakes to repair, or at our option repla e, the defe tive part free of harge – always provided the
produ t has been installed orre tly, is used for the purpose that was intended by us, is used in a ordan e with
the operating instru tions and is returned to us arriage paid. Proof of Pur hase is required by presentation of
the original invoi e or re eipt indi ating the dealer’s name, the model number and date of pur hase. This
warranty may not apply if any model or produ tion number has been altered, deleted or removed, unauthorised
persons or organisations have exe uted repairs, modifi ations or alterations, or damage is aused by a ident,
misuse or negle t. Please note that the produ t is not defe tive under the terms of this Warranty where the
produ t, or any of its omponent parts, was not originally designed and / or manufa tured for the market in
whi h it is used. These statements do not affe t your statutory rights as a ustomer.

Security advices
The pump is onstru ted for indoor use only. Before working at the pump, the power plug has to be removed.
The onne tion able and the power plug may not be hanged. If the power able is damaged, the pump may
not be used any more.
