Aquatop’s MaxFlow Series of Power Heads run efciently and quietly while providing superior
water movement in aquariums, preventing stagnant water conditions. The optional venturi air-
line and regulator allows for precise water aeration, and each unit includes an optional exible
hose so that the power head can be used as an external pump for additional ltration. The
MaxFlow Power Heads are ideal for powering under gravel ltration systems, or they can be
easily tted with our CAF Sponge Filters (PH8/16/22 models only) for medium to large breed-
ing tanks. Aquatop’s MaxFlow Power Heads are great for use in both Freshwater and Saltwater
aquariums systems.

NOTE: If you wish to connect the MaxFlow Power Head to an under gravel lter or a
CAF Sponge Filter, remove the Inlet Strainer (Part #6) and install the included Inlet Adapter
(Part #8). Then insert the uplift tube from the under gravel or sponge lter into the Inlet
Adapter (PH8/16/22 models only).

NOTE: It is your sole responsibility to verify that the plug and the receptacle are clean and

NOTE: Before installing the unit, check for any signs of damage to the device. If there are any
signs of damage to the device, power cable or plug, do not use and return to place of
original purchase.
1. Read and follow all instructions.
2. A drip loop must be used with all electrical aquarium devices.
A drip loop is a self-made part of the cord hanging below the
receptacl (See g. 1)
3. A GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) should be used in the branch circuit supplying
all power to water pumps and electrical aquarium equipment. If you do not have a GFCI,
we strongly recommend having a qualied electrician install one prior to operating any
aquarium component.
4. Do not plug into extension cord/power strip.
5. Use this product for its intended purpose only.
6. Never yank or pull the cord from the electrical outlet.
7. Do not operate if the plug or wire is damaged.
8. Verify that hands are dry prior to disconnecting the power.
9. To reduce the risks of electrocution, keep all connections dry.
