MINITune2 Function Introduction
MINITune2 is a tuning toolbox for RCMINI Plus2 that is middle level ECU of aRacer SpeedTek Inc. RCMINI Plus2
is suitable for engine modified as high flow air cleaner, exhaust pipe, CAM, or bore up 25% below. If the
modification is out of these items, we suggest user to use RC Super series ECU to have complete calibration for
best engine performance and quality. MINITune2 functions are as below:
*1 : AF1 wideband AFR module is necessary.

Adjust Mode Intrductions:
1.Basic Fuel Setting(Fuel Base):+30~-30%
Adjust the basic fuel for all operation range. Ex: 125% means 25% fuel increase in full range.
2. Full Range Fuel Setting (Fuel Adj):+30~-30%
There are 4 fuel items of TPS 5%, 15%, 30%, and TPS 70% base on rpm index for fuel setting. TPS 70% is the fuel
setting for over 70% throttle open, TPS 30% is the fuel setting for below 30% throttle open, TPS 15% is the fuel setting
for below 15% throttle open and TPS 5% is the fuel setting for below 5% throttle open. The others between 5~70% is
the linear interpolation as below drawing. (Cursor will track RPM for quick setting in engine running. Also, you can
adjust the value by manual selection and system will back to auto track mode if no any command in 5sec.)
3. Acceleration Fuel Setting (Fuel Acc):+30~-30%
Increase or decrease the acceleration fuel (%) to improve the throttle response.

4. Full Range Spark Angle Setting (Ignition Timing):10 ~ -20 CA
Adjustable spark angle (ignition timing) for improve the best performance or eliminate knock.
5. Target Idle RPM Setting (RPM of Idle) (System with Idle Speed Control Valve only)
Adjust target idle RPM for special applications. Such as high CAM...etc.
6. RPM Limited Setting (RPM Limiter)
Adjust RPM limit range: 3000~16000rpm. Press “Set Up”over 1sec to set up RPM limited and push “Up”or “Down”to
adjust limited RPM. Finally, press “Set Up”over 1sec to save the setting value and press “Exit”.

7. Deceleration Fuel Cut Switch (Dec Fuel Cut)
Press “Enter”to turn on / off deceleration fuel cut. “ON”: Fuel cut when deceleration to improve fuel consumption,
avoid back fire and have more engine brake. “OFF”: No fuel cut when deceleration to improve throttle response and
smooth engine brake.
8. Maximum Value Record (Maximum Value)
MINITune2 can record the maximum engine variables in “Display”mode (Record items: rpm, injector usage rate,
TPS…etc) and show the value in “Maximum Value”page. The data will be cleared when you key off the ignition power.
9. Quick Shifter Setting (Quick Shifter)(You need to purchase aRacer Quick Shift Module)
aRacer Quick Shifter is for clutchless shift in acceleration that can improve acceleration and provides the driving
pleasure. When rider forces the shift lever for shift up(Quick shift sensor is compressed or tensioned ), the shift trigger
signal will be transmitted to aRacer ECU, then the engine power output interrupted by aRacer ECU(Retarding ignition
timing or Cutting fuel) for shifting up gear without clutch action.

10. Wideband AFR Close Loop Switch (WB O2 CL) (With aRacer AF1 module only)
RCMINI Plus2 can work withAF1 module (wideband AFR module) for wideband AFR closed loop. Press “Enter”to turn
on / off the function. The close loop fuel correction will have more accuracy fuel control as below drawing. System will
follow the targetAFR to correct the fuel amount in real time but will not memory the correction factor in ECU.
Notes: You need to have AF1 for the Close Loop function and inhibit the function without AF1 module!!
11. Auto Tune Setting (Auto Tune) (With aRacer AF1 module only)
RCMINI Plus2 can work withAF1 module (wideband AFR module) forAuto Tune. AutoTune process the fuel map
correction to fit target AFR in full range and memory the correction result in ECU. User have to run the engine on
chassis dyno or road when engine temperature > 80℃without malfcode.After auto tune process, you can remove AF1
module!!

12. Coolant Fan Switches On Temperature (Coolant Fan)
According to the different engine situation, rider can set different engine temperature for fan action, and fan will switch
off when engine temperature below the setting temperature substract 5℃.
13. Vehicle speed gain setting (Set Speed Gain) (Only for Vehicle with Speed Sensor into ECU)
User can set the vehicle speed gain for display the vehicle speed correctly for different chain wheel or gear rate.
Vehicle Speed Gain(0~400%), 100% is the default setting, 110% is 10% vehicle speed display increase, 90% is 10%
vehicle speed display decrease.
14. Malfunction Code Read (MalfCode)
MINITune2 can show the malf code if EFI malfunctions happen. Note some malfunction code is just detected in engine
run.

Attention:Malfunction Indicate Light (MIL)
1. How to enter the MIL mode: In key on status, key off /on 3 times within 3 sec and keep key switch on then system
will enter MIL flash mode and MIL will flash 2 times.
2. Every malfunction flash code includes two digits. Ex: If flash code is “35”, The MIL will flash 3 times first (the
interval time is 0.5 sec) and delay 1.5sec to flash 5 times(the interval time is 0.5sec).After 4sec, MIL will start to
flash next malfunction code or repeat the malfunction code according to how many malfunction in the moment.
Attention:Clear Malf Code & Learning Value (Reset ECU)
1. In key on status, key off / on 10 times within 15 sec and then system will enter clear mode and MIL will flash “20”.
Then key off again, the learning value and malf code will be cleared.
15. MAP Setting (MAP Set)
MINITune2 can save yourself 3 maps and load default maps inside. User can edit the file name on yourself 3 maps.

17. Connect Password Setting (Set Password)
User can set the password for tuning data security. (Default Password: 888888)
Flash ECU by Mini-2 Flash Tool:
RCmini Plus2 ECU could be flashed base MAP from cloud. You can choice the suitable MAP for your motorcycle.
And you can set the rpm limiter, ON/OFF deceleration fuel cut, ON/OFF quick shifter and ON/OFF wide band AFR
close loop control.
Flash Steps:
1. Download and install Mini-2 Flash Tool from aRacer’s website.
2. Click to update the data base(Only first time install software or new base map update) connect “iLink”
cable in ECU & PC Click to refresh connection port
3. Turn-on ignition powerClick to connect with ECU Select the manufactory Select the vehicle model
4. Set ON/OFF deceleration fuel cut, ON/OFF quick shifter, ON/OFF A/F close loop control, and the rpm limiter
Select the suitable base Map
5. Process the flash to ECU After flash complete, please turn-off the ignition power 10 seconds, and finish
the flash.
Change Password. (Press over 1sec)

“Fuel Base”setting
:
Adjust “Fuel Base”to check if WB AFR data are between
12~13.5 in idle & open throttle without loading.
And then,
you can hold the rear brake slightly to check if WB AFR
closed to 12~13.5 with loading. Do some adjust of Fuel
Base to make WB AFR close to target AFR with & without
loading.
“Fuel Adj”for full range adjustment on road load

Please adjust and check the WB AFR data on “TPS 5%”(<
5%),“TPS 15%”(<15%), “TPS 30%”(<30%) and then adjust &
check the WB AFR data on “TPS 70%”(> 70%)
“Spark Angle”adjustment
:
Adjust “Spark Angle”for best performance in WOT
without knocking. If knock happens in any situation,
please retard the “Spark Angle”to avoid knock.
Use Default MAP inside or download Map on Cloud database.
Then start engine till warm up over 80°C
The other items adjustment
:
You can check the setting of “Fuel Acc”, “RPM of Idle”,
“RPM Limiter”, “WB O2 CL”, “Dec Fuel Cut”…etc
The mechanism of ECU & MiniTune2 data:
The adjustment data will be uploaded and saved to ECU
from MiniTune2. But the data in MINITune2 will be
deleted if user key off the power (Or user can use
“
MAP
Set
”
function to save it in MiniTune2) and MiniTune2 will
read back the data from ECU when user key on the
power again.
☆Tips:
1. Before tuning, please confirm your RCMINI
Plus2 ECU type match with your target vehicle.
2. For the best tuning result, please use AF1
wideband AFR module (WBAFR) for setting.
☆Tips:
If the engine volume bore up from stock 125cc to
155cc, please set “Fuel Base”=124%

☆Tips:
User can check the low loading(TPS<30%) WB
AFR status & adjust that by control rear brake in
moderation when main stand on, and then check

chassis dyno or on the road.

on dyno meter.

Attention:
No any stick the double-sided adhesive on the bottom board to fix Minitune2 with motorcycle or it may damage
the bottom board when user pulls off the Minitune2.
To avoid the wrong fixing method to damage the Minitune2, aRacer recommend user using the aRacer aluminum stand
to fix the Minitune2 as the following pictures. The stand has attractive design and giving comprehensive protection for
the Minitne2.
