•Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting
edges are less likely to jam and are easier to handle.
•Use power tools, accessories, insert tools, etc. according to these instructions. Take into
account the working conditions and the task to be performed. The use of power tools for
applications other than those intended can lead to dangerous situations.
•Have your power tool repaired only by qualified personnel and only with original spare parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
2. Security Instructions for all applications
2.1 Warnings for polishing
•This power tool is to be used as a polisher. Follow all warnings, instructions, illustrations and
data supplied with the tool. Failure to observe the following instructions may result in
electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
•This power tool is not suitable for sanding, sandpaper grinding, working with wire brushes,
cutting. Uses for which the power tool is not intended may cause hazards and injuries.
•Do not use any accessories not specifically designed and recommended by the manufacturer
for this power tool. Just because you can attach the accessories to your power tool does not
guarantee safe use.
•The permissible speed of the power tool must be at least as high as the maximum speed
indicated on the power tool. Accessories that rotate faster than allowed may be destroyed.
•The outer diameter and thickness of the insert tool must be as specified on your power tool.
Incorrectly dimensioned insert tools cannot be adequately shielded or inspected.
•Grinding wheels, flanges, grinding discs or other accessories must fit exactly on the grinding
spindle of your power tool. Insert tools that do not fit exactly on the power tool's grinding
spindle will rotate unevenly, vibrate heavily, and can cause loss of control.
•Do not use damaged insert tools. Before each use, check insert tools such as grinding wheels
for chipping and cracks, grinding discs for cracks, wear or heavy wear, wire brushes for loose
or broken wires. If the power tool or insert tool falls down, check for damage or use an
undamaged insert tool. When you have checked and used the insert tool, keep yourself and
nearby people out of the out of the plane of the rotating insert tool and run the machine at
maximum speed for one minute. Damaged insert tools usually break during this test period.
•Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on the application, use full face protection,
eye protection or safety goggles. Where appropriate, wear a dust mask, hearing protection,
protective gloves or special apron that keeps small abrasive and material particles away from
you. Eyes should be protected from flying foreign objects that are generated during various
applications. Dust or respirator masks must filter the dust generated during use. If you are
exposed to loud noise for a long time, you may suffer hearing loss.
•Keep other people at a safe distance from your work area. Everyone who enters the work
area must wear personal protective equipment. Fragments of the workpiece or broken
operating tools can fly away and cause injury even outside the direct work area.
•Only hold the unit by its insulated handle surfaces when carrying out work where the
insertion tool may hit concealed power lines or its own power cord. Contact with a live wire
can also energize metal parts of the device and cause an electric shock.
•Keep the power cord away from rotating insert tools. If you lose control of the unit, the
power cord may be cut or caught and your hand or arm may be caught in the rotating insert
tool.
•Never put the power tool down until the insertion tool has come to a complete stop. The
