INSTALLATION
(All local rules, including those referred to National and European standards, shall be observed
during the installation of the device).
• Follow the instructions here below to start installing the stove.
• Safety distance from the inflammable material:
-Air distance from the rear wall D= 300mm.
-Air distance from the side wall W= 400mm.
-In case of installation on inflammable floors, lay down insulating material on the floor. It shall be
F= 10mm. thick for Mignon models and F= 50mm. thick for Super models.
Front distance from the inflammable material R= 1000mm.
• The installation of the stove shall be easily accessible for cleaning the device, the exhaust gas
conduits and the flue.
• The stove shall be installed on a floor having adequate load capacity. Otherwise, take proper steps to
optimise the capacity (e.g. a plate for weight distribution).
• Make sure that the room where to install the stove is complete with an air change hole properly
dimensioned with reference to the kW power of the device and the standards in force (anyway not
smaller than 100 cm2). In case of simultaneous use with other devices installed in the same room,
check the passage cross section for air change by calculating it in 6 cm2
for each power kW of the
devices (see UNI10683).
• Connect the stove with the flue by means of perfectly tight tubes having the proper diameter (see the
top plate); if necessary, seal with putty in the joints of every single piece.
• Super models are complete with a tube with a damper inside the hearth (read WARNINGS FOR
INSTALLATION).
• Avoid too many elbows and long horizontal tube sections; for horizontal sections always arrange a
slope of at least 15% upwards.
• The flue shall be in optimal conditions, without any opening that may bring about a draught leakage
and it can not be shared.
• ATTENTION! If there is an extraction fan in the room of installation of the stove or in the adjacent
space, if used, this may cause some problems for the correct operation of the stove.

OPERATION / POWER ON
(All local rules, including those referred to National and European standards, shall be observed
during the installation of the device).
•It is operated by solid fuel: wood.
•It is powered on simply by placing paper and small pieces of wood in the hearth and by placing the air
regulation damper downwards to guarantee the maximum room air inlet. On special environmental
conditions and if pressure is low, it is recommend to open the lower door too to increase the air inlet
and to quicken the power on.
•After having powered on, start filling the hearth gradually. Pay attention not to smother the flame with
abundant wood. It is recommended not to exceed the length of 25 cm and the diameter of 10 cm. The
maximum hourly consumption is: 1.8 Kg/h for Mignon models and 2.4 Kg/h for Super models.
•Keep the hearth and the ash tray closed, except when powering on, loading and removing residuals to
avoid any fume leakage.
•When the stove is at full speed, start regulating to slower down combustion by gradually closing the air
damper upwards. In doing so, you will reduce the room air inlet and achieve the combustion you wish.
•The type of combustion is to be held continuous and duration is determined by the fuel quantity you
add.
•Never open the hearth above the front refractory level beneath the upper load door.
RECOMMENDATIONS
•NEVER USE THE DEVICE AS AN INCINERATOR OR FOR ANY USE OTHER THAN THE
INTENDED ONE.
•NEVER USE FUELS OTHER THAN THOSE RECOMMENDED.
•NEVER USE LIQUID FUELS.
•WHEN OPERATING, THE DEVICE, ESPECIALLY EXTERNAL SURFACES, WILL REACH HIGH
TEMPERATURES TO THE TOUCH; HANDLE CAREFULLY TO AVOID BURNING.
•NEVER INTRODUCE ANY CHANGE TO THE DEVICE, UNLESS AUTHORISED TO DO SO.
•USE ONLY ORIGINAL SPARE PARTS RECOMMENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER.
•NEVER FORGET TO KEEP THE FLUE CLEAN TO PREVENT ANY RESIDUAL COMBUSTION
PRODUCTS FROM CAUSING SELF-COMBUSTION (IN CASE OF A FLUE FIRE, PLEASE INFORM
THE FIREMEN IMMEDIATELY AND POWER OFF THE STOVE).
•IF THE STOVE SHOULD OVERHEAT, POWER OFF BY COMPLETELY CLOSING THE AIR
REGULATION DAMPER. NEVER TOP UP FUEL. AFTER HAVING USED UP THE INTERNAL
CHARGE, THE STOVE WILL POWER OFF.
•AT THE END OF EVERY SEASON, CLEAN THE DEVICE, THE EXHAUST TUBES AND THE FLUE
(FOR THIS OPERATION APPLY TO A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN).
CLEANING AND SERVICING
•It is recommended to clean the stove before powering it on.
•Remove the upper rings from the top plate and make sure that there is no residual combustion
product obstructing the fume outlet to the flue. If necessary, use a brush to drop them in the hearth.
•Insert the service handle into the rectangular seat of the ash-shaker and slightly shake the mobile
round grille to drop ash into the ash tray. Stop as soon as you can see the first sparks.
•Empty the ash tray (operation recommended at regular intervals, even in continuous operation mode).
ATTENTION
All parts of the device will reach high temperatures during the operation.
It is recommended to keep children far from the stove.
The room of installation shall be properly ventilated according to the laws in force.

WARNINGS FOR INSTALLATION
FOR SUPER MODELS ONLY
1) HANDLING AND INSTALLATION
•Remove the stove from the board and wooden package (while keeping the lower protection on) only in
the proximity of the installation area.
•Arrange the stove in the point of installation. Handle it while keeping the lower protection on and the
stop for the glass door in its original position.
•After having put it in the position of installation, remove the adhesive tape and cut the clamps; remove
the lower protection by delicately lifting or pivoting the stove to avoid damaging enamel.
•Never drag nor rotate the stove without any lower protection.
•Extract the tube with the damper from the upper door. Remove it from the protection and insert it into
the union of the cast iron top plate; incline the damper by about 45°.
2) BEFORE POWER ON
•Remove the rubber elastic stop from the glass door.
•Remove the polystyrene block inside the hearth.
•Remove the polystyrene block inside the ash unload door.
•Remove any trace of adhesive tape and glue at the bottom of the stove by using products for
house-cleaning.
•Make sure that there is no residual of the protections for the tube with damper inside the hearth.
3) ANY MOVEMENT
•If further handled without the lower protection, please lift the stove. Never drag or rotate it.
•If lifted, please reposition it delicately to avoid any impact at the bottom of the product, which might
damage enamel.
