Never without salt
Water in your home
Water hardness varies according to where you live. If the water in your home is hard you have the possibility to
add salt in order to soften your water. The softer the water the better will be your washing and drying results.
Loading the salt.
You can use special water
softeningsaltor normalrocksalt.
The salt container is situated
underneaththe lower rack, fill it
up asfollows:
1. Pulloutthe lowerrack
completely, unscrew and
removethecontainercap
2. Is itthe firsttime youloadthe
salt?Firstfillthecontainerup
withwater(youwon'thaveto
do thisagain nexttime)
3.Putthe dishwasherfunnelon
the hole and pour in
approximately70 oz. ofsalt.
It is normalthat some water
comesoutofthe container.
4. Screw the cap back in place
carefully.
When should I load the
salt?
Thesalt containermustbe filled
whenthesoftenerindicator light

Once you have loaded the salt
forthefirsttime, itisnormalthat
the low salt indicatorlightstays
on or flashesfor 5 consecutive
cycles.
Intelligent salt.
Your dishwasher can adjust its
saltconsumptionaccordingtothe
hardness of the water in your
home.Thisway,youcanoptimise
andcustomiseyourdishwasher's
saltconsumption(nottoomuch,
nor toolittle).
Toadjustsaltconsumption,doas
follows:
1. Unscrew the salt container
cap
2.Thereisanarrowontheneck
ofthe container(seefigure):
if necessary,turn the arrow
anti-clockwise from the "-"
settingtothe"+"setting.
Select the arrow position
depending on the water
hardness, referringto the table
provided.

Troubleshooting
Ifyou have a problem, read this
Your dishwasher may not work or not function properly. In many cases, these are problems which can be solved
without having to call for a technician. Before calling the Customer Care Center, always check the points below.
The dishwasher won't
start
• Isthewatersupplytapturned
on?
• Is the water supply tap
connected to the hose
properly?
• Has the waterin your home
beencut off?
• Is the pressure of the water
supplysufficient?
• Isthe hosebent?
• Isthefilteronthewatersupply
hoseblocked?
• Isthedishwasherdooropen?
The dishes are not clean.
• Haveyouputtherightamount
of detergent into the
dispenser?
• Is thewash cyclesuitablefor
the dishes you have placed
insidetheappliance?
• Are the filter and microfilter
clean?
• Can the sprayer arms turn
freely?
The dishwasher won't drain.
• Is thedrainhosebent?
Limescale deposits or a
white film form on the
dishes.
• Isthe lidon thesalt container
closedproperly?
• Is the rinse aid dosage
correct?
Error messages.
Yourdishwasherisequippedwith
a safetysystemwhich isable to
detect any operating problems.
Theseanomaliesarereportedby
one or two wash cycle indicator
lights"G"will flash rapidly.
Take a note of which lights are
flashing, turn the appliance off
and callfortechnicalassistance.
Tap off alarm
If youhave forgottentoturn the
water tapon,yourappliancewill
remindyouofthisbysoundinga
few short beeps for a few
minutes.Turnthetaponandyour
appliancewillstartupagainafter
a few minutes.If you were not
home when these beeps are
sounded,the appliance will be
blocked automatically the 2nd
and 3rd light from the rightwill
flash rapidly.Turnthe appliance
off at the ON-OFF button, turn
on the water tap and wait
approximately20secondsbefore
turningtheappliancebackon;the
selectedwash cyclewillstartup
again.
Clogged filter alarm
Iftheapplianceisblockedandthe
2ndandthe4thlightfromtheright
flashrapidly,thismeansthefilter
is clogged by large particles of
foodresidue.Turntheappliance
off,cleanthefilterthoroughlyand
reposition it in its seat as
illustratedon page10.Thenturn
it back on. The selected wash
cyclewillstartup again.
Water load solenoid valve
malfunction alarm.
If the 3rd light from the right
flashes rapidly, turn the
dishwasher off and back on
again after one minute. If the
alarm persists, first turn off the
water tap to avoid any flooding
and then cut off the electricity
supply and call for technical
assistance.

everything, but the
