LiftoutArmaracandplaceonthefloor(minimum2people
required–approximately90kg/200lb).Alternativelycut
downthecardboardpackagingtoexposetheArmarac.
LocatetheArmaracAccessoriesboxandplacetooneside.
UnlocktheArmaracdoors.Allkeysarelocatedinthe
accessoriesboxthatshippedinsidetheArmaracbox.
MLOCK:unlockthedoorsusingthekeybarrellockslocated
onthefrontoftheArmarac.
ELOCK:usethemanualreleasekeymechanismonthe
bottomofthechassistoreleasethedoors.
Opentherighthandsidedoorandcarefullydisconnectthe
RJ12controlcablesfromtheirsocketsandearthground
wires(iffitted).

IdentifythewalltowhichtheArmaracistobemounted.
Verifythatthewallisloadbearingandcapableofholdingapossibleloadof300kg(660lbs).
Consultwithanengineerifinanydoubt.
Ifinstallingonawoodenframedwall;locatetheverticalstudcenters.NOTEthechassismust
besecureddirectlyintotheseframingstuds.
NotethattheMX800Modelsaresuitablefor400mm(16in)studcentertimberframedwalls.
600mm(24in)centerwallsrequiretheoptionalwalladapterkit(contactThureon).Forsolid
masonrywallsusethe400mm(16in)holes–allothermountingsubstratesarerequiredto
usetheArmaracSupportBase.


Step4–Drillingthefirstholes
Drillthefirstholewiththeappropriatedrillbitsizetothe
recommendeddepthforthechosenfastenerssuitablefor
thetypeofwallandanchoringsystem.
ThetoptwomountingholesintheArmaracchassisare
“keyholed”tofacilitateeaseofmounting–pleaseensure
thattheheadofyourselectedfastenerpassesthrough
thekeyhole.
Fitthefastenerintotheholethroughthechassis(start
withtoplefthole).





Noteifusingachemicalmasonryanchoritwillneedto
curebeforetakingtheweightofthechassis.
Usingaspiritlevelonthetopandsidesofthechassisto
ensurethebracketissquare,markthetop‐rightmounting
holecenter.
Ifneeded(e.g.chemicalanchorsystem)removethe
chassis,drilltheholetotherecommendedsizeanddepth
fortheanchoringsystembeingused.

Step5–Drilltheremainingholes
Withthechassisheldinplacebythetoptwofasteners,markanddrilltheremainingsix
holesthroughthechassismountingholes.
Fitandtightentheremainingsixfasteners.

Step6–ConfirmChassisissecure
Confirmalleight(8)fastenershavesecuredthechassistothewall.
Verifyallrecommendedtorque(andifapplicablecuringtimes)specifiedbytheanchoring
systemmanufacturershavebeenmet.

Foreaseofaccessitisnotrecommendedthatyouremountthedoorsuntilyouhave
completedthepowersupplyingressstepsthatfollow.
Ifpoweristobecompletedbysomeoneelse,oratalatertime,pleaseremounttheleft
handsidedoorandengagethedoorclipsuponclosure.Thenmounttherighthandsidedoor
andclose&lock.


6.ConnectingaPowerSupply
N4Xair‐conditioningunitsrequiredadedicated10ASingle‐phaseACpowersupplyforeach
airconmodule.EachAirconmodulehasadedicatedpoweringresspointatthetoprearof
thechassiswithamatchingIECC19lockingpowerreceptacle.
Anadditional10Asingle‐phasepowersupplyisrequiredfortheinternalequipmenttobe
mountedwithintheArmaracenclosure.Thispoweringresspointisatthebottomrearofthe
chassis(leftorrightsidetosuit)orcanbesetupwithdual/redundantpowerfeedswithtwo
receptacles.
6.1InternalIEC‐C19powerreceptacles
Step1–Removethepowerreceptacle
RemovetheupperandlowerPatchPanelMountingTrays
fromwithinthechassisusinga2.5mmhexkey.
Removethepowersocketshieldusinga7mmhexsocket.
Removetheplasticclosedgrommetfromthesiderearof
thechassiscoveringthecableentryholeprovidedto
facilitatepowercableentrytothatpowerreceptacle.

Step2–Terminatethepowerfeed
Ifusingconduit,terminateyourglandintotheopening
providedonthechassis(1‐inchdiameter).
RoutethecableinsidetheArmaracandthroughthehole
onthesideofthepowersocketshield
TerminatethepowerfeedontosuppliedIECC19power
terminationsocket(maximumrating250V16A).
RefitthepowersocketshieldtotheChassis.
Refitthepatchpanelmountingtraytothechassis.



Step1–Relocatethepowersocketcoverplate
Removethepowersocketcoverfromtherearofthechassisusinga2.5mmhexkey.
Repositionthepowersocketcoveronthechassisovertotherighthandsideasshown.


Step2–Install/connectthepoweroutlet
Ifthepoweroutletisalreadyinplaceyoucan
nowinstalltheArmaracintopositionandfixit
tothewallasdescribedinSection5above.
Alternativelyyoucannowinstallanewoutlet
inthecorrectposition.
Thecut‐outinthechassisissuitableforasingle
(shown),doubleorquadpoweroutlettobe
fitted.



7.InstallingAir‐conditioningModules
Itiscriticaltotheoperationandwarrantyoftheair‐conditioningmodulesthattheyremain
uprightatalltimes.
Allair‐conditioningmodulesmustbeleftfor24hoursaftermountinginsidetheN4Xdoorspriorto
runningthemforthefirsttime.

7.1 InstallingtheRightHandAirConModule
Step1–Deboxyouraircon(IceQube)modules
Cutthecardboardpackagingawaywhereindicated
ontheoutsideoftheIceQubebox.Removethe
packagingtoexposetheairconmoduleandaccessory
kit.
PlacethegasketkitandEthernetcontrollersafelyto
oneside.

Step2–Applyairconmodulemounting/sealinggasket
CarefullyplacetheIceQubemoduleonasuitable
worksurfacewhilstmaintainingtheunituprightatall
times.
Applythesuppliedgasketkittothe‘front’surfaceof
theIceQubeasshowninthegasketinstallationkit


IdentifythetwoLiftHandlesfromyourArmarac
Accessoriesboxandmounttotherighthandside

Step4–RemovetheAirconMountPanelfrominside
theDoor
Removetheinsulatingfoamfrominfrontofthe
AirconMountPaneltoexposeallthesfasteners.
RemovetheblackM6Buttonheadscrewsfrom
aroundtheperimeteroftheAirconMountPanel.
Usethe4.0mmBall‐endhexdriversuppliedin
theAccessoriesbox.
Onceunscrewed,removethispanelfromthe
doorusingtheLiftHandlesfittedinthestep
above.

Step5–FittheAirconMountPaneltotheIceQube
airconmodule
Aligntheeight(8)mountingholesintheAircon
MountPanelwiththematchinganchorpointson
theIceQubeairconmodule.Fastenwiththe
suppliedeight(8)M6Blackbuttonheadscrews.
Donotovertightenthescrews.Insteadthe
gasketfittedinStep2shouldcompressevenlyto
approximately3mm(1/8in).





