1. Install the latest version of Artec Studio.
2. Select Artec Micro drivers.
3. Continue installation.
Install Artec Studio
You must install drivers for Micro before
connecting it to your computer.
Caution! Ensure that Micro is disconnected from
your computer during installation.

Connect & Turn On
1. Plug the power-adapter cable into the
scanner’s DC IN port.
2. Plug the other end of the power adapter
into a power outlet.
3. Insert the USB cable into the scanner’s
USB port.

4. Connect the other end of the USB cable to
a USB 3.0 port on your computer.
5. Turn on the computer.
6. Toggle the power switch to turn on the
scanner.
Hint: USB 3.0 ports oen have blue inserts.

Calibrate Micro
Before starting, you must calibrate your Micro.
Also consider recalibrating the machine if you
move it or leave it unused for a long period.
1. Open Artec Studio.
2. Access the Scan panel.
3. Click Scan with Artec Micro.
4. Click Next.
5. Check the serial numbers on the calibration
panel and in Artec Studio.

6. Mount the calibration panel on the two
spacers and remove its silicone lid.
Click Calibrate.

Step 1
Step 2 Adjust Brightness.
The object must be entirely visible. For large objects,
consider removing extra spacers.
Brightness is the scanner’s reconstruction capability.
First, increase Brightness to make the object visible
in the preview. Next, tune it to minimize areas
highlighted in red (to prevent noise from appearing
in scans).

Step 4
Select Scanning path. For simple cases, use Preview.
Click Scan.
Step 3
Scanning path is a set of turntable positions relative
to the camera. The object’s size and complexity affect
the frame count and the number of these positions.
Obtain Model
Once the scans are ready, process them in Artec
Studio. Consult the Artec Studio User Guide for
details (docs.artec-group.com).

Safety Information
Install the machine where it will be unaffected by
water, air pressure, temperature, humidity, dust, salt,
ions and other environmental factors.
Pay special attention to external hazards such as
inclined surfaces, vibration and shock.
Do not li or move the
machine by its L-shaped

cloth and ensure no water
or moisture enters it.
Do not use corrosive
detergents or antiseptic
solutions when cleaning
the machine.
Wipe the surface lightly
with a dry cloth, taking
care to prevent water
and other liquids or
foreign materials from
contaminating the
machine.
